How much horsepower will a 2014 V6 Mustang add with a high quality CAI (i.e.; Airaid), with the use of a stock exhaust?

maybe 1, 2 hp at the wheel?

More sounds
May rev quicker
smoother acceleration

you'll notice more from a pulley kit, and a nice exhaust

Seems like it should be a meme car, but I've only seen a couple of mentions of it here in the past several years. Is it because the manual trans is so rare/everyone rides the bus?

I'm trying to pick between one of these and an AP1 S2k, kind of leaning towards the IS, it seems a more rational practical choice. There's a clean well-maintained manual one with 120k miles for sale in my area for $8000 exactly like pic related, the cheapest AP1 in good shape is like 12-13k. Should I pull the trigger? Seems like a hell of a car, like a Toyota 3-series or some shit

The E46 was better in terms of power and handling.

However yes its a proper substitute for it, as well as being more reliable.
>>
>>16084198
You would need a 330+ to have more power than the puny little 2.5 in this car. The engine makes bmw fags look silly.

Also no one wants a fwd Pontiac from their dark ages

Do you think Lincoln will ever make a full size sedan, one above the Continental to rival the s class, XJ, A8 etc?

Cadillac cancelled the ct8 so I'm doubtful

Doubtful

Mainstream luxury customer group & focus have steadily moved on to SUVs and crossovers, and I dont think I'm wrong when I say that the absolute majority of luxury vehicles being sold new now are those two types of vehicles

Lincoln is nothing more than Chrysler is to Dodge. Slightly upscale versions of the Ford models. They make nothing that is their own.

Thoughts about the Chevy SS?

Why is it so damn expensive? It's got as much horsepower as some cars 75% its price. Also, aesthetically, it looks like a fucking Accord. Somebody shed some light pls.

you're paying for the drivetrain and suspension. If the interior was perfect too it'd be 60-90k like an m3 or m5

Just bought a '96 Geo Metro for $600, it's the 4Cyl, Auto trans with 177k miles and runs awesome from my 100 mile round trip commute. But what're some things I can do with it to get more MPG's out of it? I'm getting about 32HWY/25City. I eventually plan on buying a 3Cyl Manual Trans but until then getting the most out of my Geo Dude would be great! Thanks in advance.

Looking at buying this car. 2007 Mazda3. The temp guage looks a little above middle. Any ideas? Has 115k miles on it. I don't mind doing a full flush, but if the head gasket's fucked or thermostat that's a pain in the ass I don't want to purchase.

Hello /o/. I currently have a 2016 Fiesta ST w/ recaros which i have had for over a year and have put 5000 miles on it. I do really love this car and do understand why it receives so much praise from others. However, my last car was an old NA miata that I miss dearly and with the appearance of the new Abarth 124 I am extremely tempted to go and order one.

Is this a stupid idea. I do not need a practical car, so that argument is out the window. And I do love the turbo engine in the fiesta, so I thought that the abarth would be a good option as compared to the mazda version of this platform?

Is my reasoning flawed or should I just go for it?

I'm looking at winch combos for my bumper and they have the 4 500 lb rated winches for $200 and the 11 000lb rated for $500.
If muh trucc is only 3100lb, can't I just use the ATV/UTV winch?

If it's only for recovering vehicles, it wouldn't even require the full weight of my vehicle on the crank so is 4000lb enough? Should I just spend the extra $300 and not be a juice?
How do you go about tying them to trees for single vehicle recovery?

Winch general (since all the offroad /ovg/ generals die after 18 hours on this board).

>>16083555
You need double the weight

I've stalled a 9500 lb warn pulling a bud out, switched to a 12k on my next jeep

Cheap means slow, and single use at a time, if you're going to be the guy at the top of the hill winching people up all afternoon you need to throw more bucks at it, otherwise the cheap ones are ok
>>
>>16083597
So why even rate them at the lbs!? I guess it's because of maximum x the wires can support?

Can one rip trees out of the ground with the winches?
>>
the 4500LB winch is great in situations you don't need the winch.

However, once you start factoring in resistances, you'll find that the 11K winch is probably more appropriate.

For example, pulling a vehicle out of a rut deep enough to be at the axles means you'll be pulling 100% of the vehicles weight out of that hole, and the 4.5K winch wont be up to that task.

You have to remember, a winch has a lot of different ratings. A 4.5K winch wont have wire rope rated at 4.5K, and will probably be significantly lower. Winches also have different ratings for how much rope is spooled on the winch drum. A winch rated at 4.5K is rated so on a bare drum, When you start building a 2nd layer it can drop significantly.

Even with the 11K winch you'll want to check all your ratings, because that wire rope might not even be good for 3K depending on its size. I believe 3/8's fiber core is normally only good to 3,750, which is what it might have.

The only way to overcome the lower working load limit (wll) is to buy snatch blocks. A snatch block, when used right, allows you to effectively double your capacity, at the loss of half your winches speed as you need to pull in double the wire rope.

For trees you need a strap, and ideally a screw pin shackle. You'll read a lot of flack about shackles, calling them dangerous and what not, but those are also the people who shock load the shit out of their equipment and buy teeny tiny shackles not rated for what they're doing, so they come apart.

When it comes to actually pulling yourself around, give your truck a little throttle, but don't try to outrun the winch and snap load the line when you roll backwards. Always keep pressure on the line to make it spool good and to avoid sudden shocks.

Also, avoid planetary gear winches. They're fast, but lack power. Worm gear winches are the best, tons of power at the cost of speed.

Just don't be an idiot and you'll be fine.
