What's the best muscle car for cheap(ish)? Gotta be something I can get for cheap with only cosmetic damage, I can't into mechanics.
>>17772211
Surely one can't be so mechanically disinclined as to not know how to work on some of the simplest straight forward machines ever built?
>>17772228
I could probably learn on the go, I have friends who could help me. I just currently have no knowledge of mechanics.
>>17772211
Plymouth Dusters or something else relatively unknown.
/o/ has me confused. Is this car gud, or not?
>Hyundai
>good
>>17772179
Yes it's a good car, it's basically the modern CRX, It's a shame Honda themselves couldn't even replicate the CRX without failing. Honda really sucks ass these days.
>>17772179
They're perfectly fine cars just like most of what Hyundai makes. Just ignore the memes of the one /o/tist that claims it's faster than the WRX, GTI, etc.
Why do Americans buy new cars and finance them for 72 month?
If you did that here in Europe everyone would think you're an idiot.
>>17772149
People do this even here in EU, fag.
>>17772149
>be eurocuck
>lease a car for 48 months
>pay every month for something I will never own
>I'm actually paying of their financed car
>lease company keeps the car and sells it after the lease contract expires
>they make 150% profit
>take bus home
>fap to chinese cartoons
>>17772152
No they don't, you can't even get a 72 month loan here in my country
A modified family car has better acceleration that a literal super car
What about the other super cars that are also slower than it? Why not make a general hate thread for super cars in general?
>>17772108
>A modified family car has better acceleration that a literal super car
JUST A FEW SIMPLE MODS
fastest laps says it does 0-62 in 2.8 seconds?
http://fastestlaps.com/models/audi-r8-plus
like in the military you know?
Why don't they have less wheels but more surface area?
>>17772104
so it doesn't get stuck
things in the military are armoured which makes them heavier, putting more strain on two exels
so they gave it 3 axels
Owning a car is for suckers. If you'd put all your money, that you'd otherwise put into a car, into a compounding index fund, from your 16th birthday onwards, you will have a million $ at your 50th.
yeah but then I'd have to take public transportation like a retard
>>17772039
>34 years to only make a million dollars
Wow! Where do I sign up? I'm sure you could reach that goal faster if you actually worked.
>>17772069
Not to mention all that free transport you're getting.
Is this an absolute rip off or what? Are front wheel bearings really this much for my car? I saw ones for 60 a pop with the sensor on them and the only part store nearby wirh them in stock is charging close to 300. Thoughts? I want them to last a long time but not entirely sure if the bearing quality is typically negligible or rather large in difference.
Other for reference
Try RockAuto. As long as the bearing itself is a Koyo or Timken (rebranded Koyo), you'll be fine.
Those are also not your drive wheel bearings so they deal with way less stress than ones that are on the drive wheels. They should last a long long time.
>>17772037
Thanks a lot. Car started shaking pretty bad on one side and have a lift in my dad's garage and sure enough was the bearing. Already replaced the bad one but dad restores old cars for a living and says i should replace both at the same time. Just trying to get the best deal since it seemed pretty steep for just a bearing
AYOO

he should be able to drive anywhere with standard 4wd and all that ground clearance

hi /o/, i'm frankly an idiot and i have no idea wtf i'm doing. i need cash really badly to pay bills so i'm trading in my 2012 elantra (~85k miles) for a 2008 tiburon with ~100k miles + $1,000 cash. the dealership has mixed reviews, but they said they'd do that deal after i suggested it. i like the '08 tiburon better than the elantra anyways but i don't know if i'm going to get a "lemon" or whatever. i want that fucking tiburon and the cash, wat do?
pic unrelated i guess
Google Tiburon problems and see if they are already fixed on your car
>>17771946
He probably won't be able to tell looking. Ask if you can take the car to a private mechanic and have it looked at. A shady dealership will say no.
You don't even have to do it after you ask. If they say no don't buy it.
>>17771946
>>17771990
thanks, i'll tread carefully- appreciate the replies.
I'm cruising down a busy street at 55mph, turn my blinker on to get over and ass fucked civic driver behind me in the other lane tries to accelerate and block me in.
>Not today fucker.
Drop a gear, mash the gas, and get over.
Now for my question, my RPMs in that situation are at 6000, I shift up and let up on the gas. And the engine RPMs stay at 6000 for a second before slowly declining back down to 5000 and lower.
Is that because the turbo is spinning and the engine just can't slow down as fast as I'm asking it to? And would a blow off valve help fix that? Or is it an intake leak and even though the throttle blades are closed, it's still sucking in air? Or is that just the nature of turbocharged engines and i need to learn how to drive with a turbo?
What type of engine is it dickhead
>>17771920
Inline 4.
>>17771924
Can I run my AC output hoses into my car's intake for the ultimate CAI?
>>17771862
idiot
>>17771877
Say you have a mini-fridge. you set that up so the cold air is going into the intake.
Will that work?
>>17771882
The intake air will be cooler, yes.
What will happen to big chin man's collection when he dies?
Like it happens literally every day: Shit gets auctioned off
>>17771745
I think its already some kind of museum setup where people can do tours so I reckon it will all go into trust.
It should go to his illegitimate son, Doug DeMuro. They even talk the same.
Do you drive without a front license plate? If so, have you ever gotten pulled over for it?
>>17771742
Never got pulled over for no front plates. But before that got pulled over 2 times for having no plates in a span of about a year. Maybe law enforcement saw that as an improvement from before and lets me be. FYI i am from commiefornia so its mandatory having a front plate.
It's illegal to drive without a front license plate over here, but you can use one of these if it has the right regulations
>>17771868
>never got pulled over for no front plates
>but before never i got pulled over 2 times
which is it anon
Today I noticed this really loud clunking noise coming from he rear drivers side wheel and upon further inspection I saw this shit, can anyone tell me what it is and how much it would be to fix it?
>pic related
>>17771696
What kind of car?
>>17771700
86 mr2
No expert but it looks like the metal that fell off just covers where the CV joint meets the diff to the axle. No idea what could cause it or what will happen. Might just get dirty desu.
Suzuki Jimny full model change
>>17771555
Is there a reason why they give them these type of colors is it to hide the silhouette?
>>17771589
Yes it's to hide the lines.
>>17771555
Suzuki isn't sold in the US.
Is there any reason to care? is this car even being sold outside Japan?
