What is the simplest car(mechanically speaking) to wrench on? IMO Renault twingo because it's literally a chassis, 4 wheels and an engine
Bonus points: car is cheap as fuck and spare parts are common and inexpensive

I don't think I've even ever seen a Twingo engine bay. My fox body is pretty simple though. Would be a lot simpler if not for corrosion.
When does a car BTFO a motorbike?
When does a motorbike BTFO a car?
>>16146791
Unless the car is on baggy drag tyres, a performance bike almost invariably has the edge over a car and up to well over 100mph on a good surface.
Once the speeds get high enough performance cars have an edge with sheer power and coefficient of drag.
Tracks vary depending on the conditions etc. Cars can be a lot quicker through corners thanks to traction advantages and downforce but it's not a given
Cars: greater Top speed, greater corner speed, better drag coefficients / downforce / grip
Bikes: accelerates and brakes much quicker than a car can, can use much more of the available road than a car can.
Pretty much this
>>16146798
Bikes have the better power to weight ratio but don't like cornering by design.
The physics behind this are quite simple:
The faster you ride on a bike the more the centrifugal forces of the wheels will increase. That keeps it upright and stable.
Now cornering requires you to break that stability, so in a corner the biker is constantly wrestling with the bike's urge to straighten up. That obviously limits cornering speeds.
Long story short:
On a short straight the bike will BTFO of pretty much any car. The longer the straight gets the more time the car has to catch up.
Add corners and the car will BTFO of the bike since better grip and better downforce enable it to go much faster.
So got my car jumped
Then we went for a blast through the hills on the way home. Car backfired really loud, scared the shit out of kangaroo and it ran straight into the side of my mates car

That's literally less than half, why can't America build a good engine? Are they even trying?
>>16146420

Way to confirm how stupid you are.
You didn't even consider that the electric motor on the P1 account for 180hp alone.
>>16146420
And you can buy what, 12 pigcats plus taxes and dealer markup for the price of one p1? But yeah, go ahead and keep comparing things that aren't even in the same category.
>using hp/l as an arguement
Let's use hp/lb as an arguement next, because that bus pass may be light weight but the bus sure aint.
Why arnt we talking about this?

Whats not to like?
Pretty sure they had a test engine up to something insane like 500k km mileage on it

shit my bad
with winter approaching do you warm up your car and how many minutes do you wait?
full synthetic v8 here, isn't 1-2 minutes plenty of warm up?
You want as much carbon build up as possible, so like 5 minutes.
>Isn't 1-2 minutes plenty of warm-up?
What are you warming up? What weight oil is in it? What temps does it reach when you hit the 2 minute mark? What temps are mechanically acceptable to that part? Should you get a block warmer?
>>16145726
I don't sit and let it warm but I barely use the throttle for first couple minutes of my drive
I'm looking for a larger sized SUV that is also capable of light/mild off roading when I want to. Most of its life will be on the road though so emphasis on comfort and maybe using it for road trips.
On a side note, is the H2 really that bad? They don't seem as big anymore compared to modern trucks, seems like they have a center locking diff and other hardcore off roading stuff standard.
>>16145669

It's a Chevy Tahoe with a different body

Most sources say it's on the 2500 chassis with some parts of the 1500

+ I think they're more fun to drive than the 3-series and C-class
- fucking annoying glossy shit everywhere that gets fingerprints on it
- few physical buttons
- Interior not as good as the current C-class

I will hopefully get my money back from my VW TDI, I wanted something RWD, manual, and diesel is possible, too bad I can't have all three.
Now I am strongly considering a used BRZ/86. Any thoughts on this car?

Will trumps presidency with pro gas and oil act make gas prices better? Also pro keystone pipeline
>>16143164
No, oil prices will climb higher because of Trump's hostility towards Saudi Arabia. We'll go back to the days of 90$ for a barrel of brent oil.
I hope not, already can't afford shit because lol Canada's only income
>>16143183
yeah Saudi Arabia can totally afford that. oh wait, this isn't 2010.
So why DO cars suffer such heavy depreciation the moment you drive them off the dealer lot?
Is there any real reason for it, or is it completely arbitrary and made up by people at KBB/NADA to fuck with the market?
>>16142985
Because the market stresses that buying a brand new car is a good thing, and so no one wants to buy a slightly used car, and pay anywhere near its price.
Everyone wants to be the first to fart on the seat. Once someone's farted on the seat, the car looses half it's value. Common knowledge really...
The new prices are often too high. After first ownership, they fall to a level what they are worth. This first step has to be made, mostly by companies, banks or rich people.
