I just want one so bad.
When can I have one?
How can I get one?
>>16184921
In a few years, to the US at least. You can import whatever you want as long as it's 25 years (month of manufacture matters) or older
>>16184921
Join the Marines, Request 3rd Marine Division as First duty station. Chill in oki for awhile driving your GTR
>>16184952
You can already import them to america right now.
Budget of $50k. My mechanic just told me to buy a Subaru. Is she right?

>>16184851
What are you trying to get out of the car?

Saw this thread earlier this month

Remember when the r33 was considered PIG FAT?
i remember being 8 years old my brother buying one and he kept complaining that it was pig fat and all his friends would say how much of a bubble shape it was
What the actual fuck, it doesnt look so bubble now does it

R33 Skyrine is best Skyrine
>>16184822
This. Just don't let the normies catch wind of it, we want to keep prices down.
>>16184817
Is a boat.
I just want a good sounding car stereo but i dont know where to start. I have a pioneer head unit so far and im going to get a 1200 watt Dual amplifier from a friend in very good condition, not a scratch on it.
What speakers are good?
What subwoofer is good?
I want good sound. I dont want to annoy the car next to me.
My car is a 98 Buick Century.
>>16184771
Without a budget, impossible. Just get a decent set of components and a good amp to drive them (i.e. listen to them at best buy and buy online). A sub with stock speakers is going to sound terrible.
>>16184848
Ok, guess my budget is around $600 or so. Would like to spend less but thats what i have thats totally free.
>>16184771
keep it stock. you know there's 600 bucks worth of repairs that need to be done.

or is this what you meant?
At what point do you know you need to sell your car and get another one? I've spent almost 3k in repairs/maintenance on my car, its only worth 1600 on kbb.
whenever you stop loving it
>>16184705
this
>>16184705
I never loved it lol
I love driving but the car itself annoys me because there is constantly shit wrong with it
Why have actual sports cars literally doubled in performance numbers over the last couple decades, while top-trim performance econoboxes have made almost zero improvement?
Cars like the Civic Si, Golf GTI, WRX STI, and Evo have been getting much heavier but only a tiny bit more power, resulting in cars that are literally no faster than they were decades ago. Even modern "hyper-hatches" like the Focus RS and Civic Type-R are slower than a simple Mustang GT.
>>16184679
the technology isn't fading, you're finding that most users and consumers want cars that save more gasoline and have better emissions (because of regulations). There is a threshold of relative power:performance that we already met. Makers now are moving towards this low displacement turbo variants of cars that are great on gas mileage but aren't getting much more power than before. If they just stuck with their same high displacement engines they'd make even more power compounded with the turbo.
speaking of WRX I was looking into this are these worth it in a brand new 2017?
>why is this 4 cylinder civic type-r slower than a fucking mustang with a v8 and some other shit.
these aren't comparable.
>>16184700
Yes, the new FA20 is solid, plus the Sti's 6-speed is in it now.
When I was a kid the Golf GTI used to have 150 hp
>I think it's disgusting
>>16184495
pretty edgy
I like it, not like I could ever afford one though.
Meh.
Not the Godmachine the previous GT's were. They might've done better bringing back the Intech and putting twinturbos on it. Or starting over from scratch and building a stronger V6/I4 and putting more boost to it.
Also winning class at LeMemes but not overall is like a participation ribbon. 10 years from now people might remember the broken Toyota at #2 but almost everyone will have forgot Ford's #18 class win.
Maybe next year they'll iron out the quirks and have a stronger season and a better position at LM.
I give the Ford GT 6 P71s out of 10, slightly better than average.
What is your favorite entry-level supercar? Within the last decade, between 150k and 250k.
Fuck all of them.

The other day I was browsing used cars and discovered that many electric cars from the past few years are around or below $10,000. The Chevrolet Volt, in the picture, if I remember correctly cost upwards of $40,000 brand new. The same goes for the Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Spark EV, Mitsubishi i-MiEV...
Why do electric cars lose their value so quickly?
Will Tesla be the same when their electronics and batteries starting going out?
gas got really cheap and stayed cheap.
>>16183727
>electronics and batteres start going out
you just said why prices are falling faster than a bag of shit
batteries die and literally cost thousands to replace and theres no way around this.Electric cars and their futuristic styling doesnt age well and so look like dogshit in 5 years. Electric cars also require a premium to fix because most mechanics are inexperienced with EV cars
>tl;dr electric cars suck ass
Because they are total dog shit. People buy them, then want to get rid of them when the novelty wears off. they are appliances, customers that want an electric only want to buy new and no one wants to buy used. Battery is guaranteed to need to replacement down the line, so it's a ticking time bomb for a major cost and not including the other unreliable stuff from the rest of the car.
alright /o/ my old 850 volvo is tottaled and I need a new car by monday
The s60r is what i've wanted for a while, but I'm scared of getting into a money pit..
Should I just pony up for the civic and be happy with a great product? OR save money and go with the power of the S60r with less reliability.
Which will give me more bang for my $$
Another 850 of course.
The Civic will lose its value like crazy. 2013 Civics are creeping towards $15,000 for upper trims and $12,000 for lower trims. On the other hand, the Volvo might also turn out to be a money pit and become worthless AND not be drivable.
If the S60R looks like its in great condition and had an owner that cared about it, go for it.
Otherwise, I would personally get a base model Civic with the manual transmission. It will be reliable for at least 10 years and get great fuel economy.
Pic is 2017 hatchback LX 6-spd for $20,535.
>WTF are they so similar /o/?
That's what happens when you don't unitize police liveries on a federal basis or at least a state basis and instead let every level of police forces and every shitty little county have their own little special snowflake paintjob.
