Loving the season so far.
Oi boys.
Let's say i would want to install a turbo in this shitty lanos 1.5 just for shits and gigs.
What turbo should i get?
For shits and giggles? The cheapest decent condition turbo you can get your hands on, I guess.
are you making your own manifold cuz Im sure thats the only way its getting done
grab a T3 from the junkyard
>>16198563
>Im sure thats the only way its getting done
Not really.Opels used variations of Opel engines
Just buy a turbo kit for a relevant Opel
Hey /o/, been a bit.
So a while ago, I inquired about looking for a SUV/Crossover for my fiance when she gets her license. Well that fell flat, and she'll be taking the test soon and I figured I'd surprise her birthday this year with a car.
Only thing is; She doesn't want an SUV anymore. She kinda laid out what she wants but she's a stickler sometimes. She wants.

About it. I've got about $7g to spend. I'll post my local Craigslist and I'd appreciate any help you guys could give. Just be aware tho, I live in an area where snow is a factor. We get a lot of it.

tell her that's she's way to picky with the budget. Forget AWD entierly. She probably won't have the funds to maintain it.

It's shit
There is literally nothing wrong with ricing cars.

Bad idea.
What do you keep in your car for jump starting?
I bought this a couple ago. It does pretty well. I've dropped it off cars at least a half dozen times and haven't broken it. I also keep cables in my truck too
Charge it every 2 months in summer and once a month in winter
Super handy to use and didnt get me laid once. Someone broke my window and stole it, presumably to jump start something.
It has a USB port, LED light, tire inflator with gauge, and cigarette lighter port
Bump start 4 life. I keep cables to help others out.
Anyone know a good fast car you can buy for first car money (5k) in europe other than a bmw?
>>16197241
Not gonna find many fast cars apart from BMWs.
There are powerful cars for that price though, such as:
Audi A8 D2
Mercedes C215
Jaguar S-Type
Mercedes W220
Audi V8 (not even that powerful)
2nd gen Lexus GS
If you want a small nimble car, the Golf V GTI will do, although it's not any faster than those luxobarges I posted above.
>>16197266
Thanks alot! Ill take a look @ these
>>16197241
>mitsubishi galant 2.4
feels really fast despite only having 140hp. stay away from the 200hp v6. it's slow as fuck for some reason
>Dodge stratus 2.7
these things are likely the fastest you'll go for your money at 7,1 seconds to 100km/h. i highly recommend trying one of those. they're shitboxes at this point and there's a reason the engine is called the sludgemaster 2.7. you'll want a full service manual with these. check for coolant in the engine and the "death ticking" it's also got shit quality front suspension and it's automatic
Help me /o/
I'm trying to adult
What's a good sub $25000 4 door (wagon is acceptable) that has a bit of performance and won't kill me with maintenance costs?

Fuck. Why are all ford focus drivers such faggots? Is it because they couldn't afford the office drone civic and need to compensate?

Anyone else here buy and resell cars to make money on the side?
I've been doing it for 4 or 5 years now, as of recently I can't really find a good paying job due to an injury.
I"ll also answer random, related questions.
1. What do you usually look to buy?
2. How do you find what you buy?
3. Most profit made from one (include starting price, money you spent on it, then sale price if you want)
4. Ever run into trouble with the DMV after selling too many?
--------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Depends on what is for sale cheap. Most of the time I will buy low and work my way up on trades, then sell when I get a car I know will bring quick cash.
2. Craigslist, Facebook, Word of mouth. In the summer I ride a motorcycle around town down random streets looking for stuff to buy.
3. Usually making $~1000 any time I sell.
4. Not yet... waiting for the day they say I need a dealers license, not sure it will ever happen though.
Interested but I'm tired and at work so can't think of anything, bumping tho
How much did you know about cars when you first started?
What was the first car you sold?
Do you trade?
What was the hardest car to sell?
What is the hardest brand to sell?
I ask these questions because I too would like to flip cars for profit and trade up to my dream car of about 10k but i'm nervous about hiccups.
>>16196300
>waiting for the day they say I need a dealers license
there's a cap of how many cars you can sell per year w/o a license and the dmv keeps track. In my state 7 is the max amount of vehicles you can sell without a license.

Why are people under the impression that Boxer engines are as bad as rotary?
>>16195969
Because they're afraid to admit that it's the best piston configuration
>>16196010
They prefer to burn oil and doritos
>>16195969
>pistons lying on their side their whole life slowly grinding down that one side until it inevitably shits the bricks.
seems like a grand idea. While we're at it, I'm sure we can find an easy way to add oil lubrication to that configuration without any issues, not to mention literally double the number of heads of just a i4 or i6.
