So after not having a car for over a year, I bought a shitty 95 golf sport for 600.
Needs work, but I can deal with it, mostly.
I'm army staying in air force barracks. Car in parking lot out front. Decided to tinker with the engine a bit. Nothing too much. Go over things, tighten some bolts, replace some fluids.
MP's roll up and ask what I'm doing, explain I just bought it and am tinkering. Proceed to ask why the MP's care. They get triggered. Apparently the air force MP's aren't MP's and don't like being called that. They're security forces. Explain such to me in that oh so butthurt way. Then give me ticket for working on my car. Before I can really say much, they leave.
Fuck everything. I can't even enjoy my shitbox now.
So, how as the man recently ruined your day /o/?

You fucked up, Shit went downhill mid 13 and has proceeded to get worse and worse since 10.
Also you have a fucking full facility on base. Just tell them you were checking your coolant level.
Instead of being a little bitch.
Should I?
1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with 4x4 and the 4.0l I6. Less than 115k miles with no rust and one owner
What options do you have if you want to keep stock wheels but you want to make the car look different ?
Plastidip or Autodip the wheels ?
Leaving them stock color ?
Slight lowering, tasteful front lip if the car needs it. Powder coat wheels, don't use plastidip like a vapenigger.

Grow up. Then you'll stop wanting to be a special snowflake. You'll have more important things to worry about.

If you mod any exterior portion of an Infiniti G you automatically ruin the car.

> be two months later
> grinding noises
> figure is driver side
> tear out 10x the dash

> buy thinner driver
> buy new bit
> cut bit in half to fit
> get everything out

> realize passenger side broke already and that was it all along
Just buy a fu king flex head wrench.

Is it a BMW? I run into this kind of shit all the time with my car. Frustrates the hell out of me
Someone help me understand racing. I saw a video link in a thread Saturday night and watched a race but can't find anything about it anywhere. So what was that race? Why are there like 500 different organizations doing the same thing? Is there one central place to find out everything about every race event?
I only really care about normal car racing, gt I guess it's called. I liked watching all those modded Priuses and gt86s, but I like the higher end stuff as well and seeing them race side by side was awesome.
Pic unrelated
>>16172344
Found the one I watched Saturday, finally. It was a super gt race. Again, why so many organizations? How can I find the next super gt race?
Different organizations do different rulesets. NASCAR uses tube-frame, N/A V8 spec cars around an oval. NHRA does 1000ft in the shortest time possible. WRC takes the shells of hatchbacks, AWD converts them, widdbodies them, turbos them, and runs them through closed-off rural roads ranging from snowy mountain passes to dirt trails through forests. Etc. And then of course within most of them there's a dozen different classes.
>>16172437
But what about the gt races? I've seen like five orgs just in gt, not to mention the classes.
Did they ever make a Panther station wagon?
>>16172287
Yes, crown vic country squire and Mercury colony Park.
Literally look up the Wikipedia article for the platform, it'll even have pictures of it. How stupid are people these days?
Yes, but only for the older boxy body styles, not the 93+ ones people usually think of when you say Panther body.
2017 CX-5 is here.
Biggest takeaway is a mix between the current styling, and that of the RX-Vision concept.
Longer, narrower headlights.
Gone are the somewhat big cheek holes (which most automakers are doing even bigger, gaping cheekholes that look like the fucked up side of Two Face's face)
I'm glad Mazda are sticking with their nice style and just steadily improving it.
Only thing I don't think is an improvement are the indentations that look like lower side intakes but with nothing there. Sort of like the grill-not-grill on the Tesla 3.
>>16171810
Who cares? It's still a shitty crossover.
>>16171823
I care because it gives an idea of how the updated 3 and 6 will look.
Not to mention the upcoming RX, it looks like they'll still to its styling with having more smooth lines and less useless dips and creases that the concept has if they're styling their updated models to be similar.
It just so happens the CX-5 is the first car getting updated.
>>16171854
Didn't the Mazda 3/6 literally just get updated visually for 2017

Are you a paki?
I have a dodge magnum 360 with a crank that needs to be turned and a 318 with a cracked block. Will my crank in the 318 work in my 360? 318 still runs and sound good, but there's water in the oil.
>>16171254
send them both to the junkyard and buy a civic for 3k.
Pretty sure a 318 has smaller main bearings. You could probably get it to work but you should just use a 360 crank or an aftermarket that'll fit properly
>>16171274
Thanks, that's what I thought I remembered.
Hello, /o/,. recently inherited an 01 Infiniti QX4 (Pathfinder) with 160K on the clock. As I was about to change the oil and filter, i noticed this sizeable leak has developed under the engine block right behind the front axle. Looks like there is nowhere for it to come from since the leak starts by some random metal piece not connected to any liquids. Any thoughts. I can take more pics.
Also I know the filter is leaking its ancient from sitting for a few years.
Pic #2
countershaft sprocket seal is probably fucked
>>16171088
Spray it all down with an engine degreaser, and then blast any remaining rough spots with brake clean.
When its nice and clean, start her up, idle, and watch for new leaks. If nothing after a few minutes, go for a quick drive down the block, pull over, and inspect again.
Report back
This has to be a record.

was this the kid in the srt4 neon?
What was it, an unlimited zx14?
>>16170986
He was in a newer base model Mustang.
He has a decent chance of getting away with this too because of radar gun calibration being out of wack.
Theres no way that car hit that speed, 108 is believable but not 208.

Would you buy a 2003 XC70 for $2,900 if it had 323 km on the clock?

Other than just scanning codes and watching dials...is there anyway to pull real diagnostic data out of this? Any explanation for all the features?
Yea if you have a reader you can get all kinds of shit

Scraper value proably around $300, so if you tow it to a shop for free, and get it looked over for about $60-80, you can proably get out for nothing if its crap.

I went back over there today and got it to start. There's literally nothing wrong with the car that I can see besides the exhaust rusting out. Bought it for $150 bucks and drove it back. It's the slowest car on the planet though.
