All it'll do is make your credit history shorter than it would be otherwise. Doesn't actually hurt anything, just means your history won't be as long, which means your score won't be as high.

I paid off all my student loans a couple years after I dropped out of college. Still have a 750 credit score.

The car is completely stupid as a mean of transportation and it's pathetic that in this day and age we depend on internal combustion engines with such poor theoretical energy efficiency.
