People who live in apartments/condos/complexes: How do you manage your project car?

Any tips, problems?
What do you do with parts and tools?

Not poor at all, just like moving around every couple years. Was going to rent a house, but I'd rather live in an apartment and invest the difference.
>>
>>16222710
that means you are still poor

one does not simply spend cash on project cars unless they atleast have a house that is owned by them

I know this isn't a mental health support group but I'm wondering if anyone else gets anxious and scared while driving? I'm going on 20 and still have my province's equivalent of a learner's permit because I'm so frightened.

I seize up while driving, people pass me all the time for going to slow (if I go at or barely above the speed limit I get barked at by my mom in the passenger seat), people give me the finger and holler at me calling me a hoser very often and then I let go of the wheel to give them the finger and get them to frig the fuck off.

Has anyone dealt with this or have any tips? Would a driving instructor be able to help with this? I don't want to shell out 500 bucks if they don't know how to handle these types of things.

Duct tape your right hand to the wheel and hit that highway
>>
>>16221886
I can't legally go on the highway with my license (G1) unfortunately but thank you for your suggestion
>>
>>16221897
That's alright, same principle works on local roads and both hands firmly adhered to the wheel.

Hey guys I have some questions regarding a rochester quadrajet jet carb. My camaro had been running like crap the last few days and I got under the hood to Check it out and the choke adjustment screw was completely missing. This is a Google Image for reference but the three little safety screws were completely missing and the big plastic adjustment notch was out of the carb the spring was out and the choke was stuck wide open. I had trouble starting the car up to this point and it ran like absolute dog shit idling erratically and surging under smooth throttle application.

I put the choke screw back in and set it as best I could and then return did my air fuel mixture on the two front screwside because someone said it would be off now that the choke spring had been fucked.

Can someone explain to me how these mechanisms work particularly the choke spring, how that would cause my idle to be garbage? And how I should properly adjust them? I did it in an autozone parking lot on the fly?

Do I adjust the choke while cold and drive for 30 minutes to see if it opens up on its own? What about air fuel screws when do I adjust those? When it's hot?

How about selling this out dated piece of garbage and buying yourself a car that you don't have to adjust the fucking choke on? Seriously why do you people still bother with these cars?

out of experience, I say that every honda civic ive changed the headlights on has the same issue. Not all American cars are like that BTW. I drive a Mustang and I dont even need any tools to take out the headlights.

Don't hate on American cars cuz of one model like that.

What is the Ford GT doing that isn't done by the McLaren 675LT already?

>small displacement twin turbo

Check
>hydraulic suspension
Check
>7 speed DCT
Check
>active aero

Trofeo R's on the McLaren are actually stickier

I can't see it being any faster desu

Why do you care? Both are fast enough to rip your insides out, whichever goes faster around a track with the same driver by a few tenths of a second is basically meaningless information.

McLaren is a supercar company, Ford makes Foci and F150s. The GT exists simply to be a halo car.

You don't want an e303, letter cams are ancient tech, and that will be horrible in your truck. If you must get an old school letter cam at least get a b, but there are so many better modern OTS cams out there.

For valve springs these seem to be the best deal out there. I've used the trickflow kit twice now, but will probably buy these next time I need to do a set

Id love one of those comp cams max energy ones or a lunati voodoo but the e cam has decent idle qualities and will be a nice mild upgrade for a street motor.

Also being dirt cheap is pretty nice. With that combo I should be looking at around 320 to 340hp at the motor.

I'm going to mark those springs though, they look like what I need.

I know this might sounds retarded, but this will be my first engine in building. I have to take the heads off right?

just bought a 2013 hyundai veloster turbo yesterday, and it's a manual. I haven't ever owned a manual, and this is the first time I've drove a manual in at least two years, but i still remember the basics. shit like starting on a hill, downshifting, and double clutching are pretty simple for me. but are there other things that you guys think I should learn? Any tips, tricks to making my daily drive a little better or easier?

Sup /o/, so I installed a new stereo into my mazda3 and now two days later theres this annoying fucking buzzing that happens under my dashboard whenever I go over about 40mph. What could be causing it? How do I get it to stop?

I already pulled the stereo out and looked at the connections, nothing looks out of place and yet the buzzing persists.

Electrical buzzing our vibration buzzing?
>>
>>16222438
I want a Mazda 3 hatch, they've always caught my eye. As for the buzzing I'd say it's a connection thing /somewhere/ brought about by vibrations. Could be a broken clip somewhere too, my old Volvo used to have 3 mystery clips under the dash thatd rattle at different speeds

>>16223070
I have a Mazda3 hatch. It's an OK car overall but the front wheels are too small and the tires spin a lot. Kinda lame

wolfgang ziebart thinks hydrogen is for fags
>>
>>16221703
Hydrogen ist hard to store for a long time. If you keep it cool, it will evaporate off over time. If you keep it at high pressure, an equivalent tank will be massive. There is the possibility to store hydrogen in Metals like Magnesium. Problem with that is that you have to heat it up to get the hydrogen out of the metal and you have to cool it when you want to refill. The packaging is extremely dense though because the hydrogen goes in between the magnesium atoms in the structural grid of the substrate.

Other than that you only get 25% efficiency from well to wheel.

My friend made this concept for a Nissan Design Contest while in Italy.

You like it?
