Was this the dumbest meme car in history?
Not even fucking close.

I'm looking at getting one of these boys soon. Is it just a cushier Camry, as I've been lead to believe, or is there anything else that I should be concerned with? I'm in college so I just need a reliable, kind of powerful comfy cruiser.
Thoughts?
>>16232668
I would prefer to say go LS400 because it's objectively better but I know premium gas is like a dollar more expensive in some states.
>>16232681
>that guy who thinks es300 and ls400 share a market
>>16232668
what's wrong with your current car?
Convince me to not get an R33.
>>16232571
You should mate. When I was stationed in Japan, everyone had R32s and R34s and R33s were rarely spotted. It makes you stand out from the crowd. Parts are easy to get (pretty much every part compatible with other skyline models), and they look pretty good with a decent kit.
>>16232644
but R33s were rarely spotted*
Living in Japan for so long made me looze english skilz
Do you have the money to import one?
If yes, then do it.
If no, then don't.
I'm not very good at convincing people, and I kind of want you to have a Skyline so you can share pics of it on /o/.
HEY /o/!
QUICK!

FUUUUUUUUUU
Why the FUCK didn't we get these?? Lighter, more rigid, way better lines.
I swear the only reason we didn't get these is because americans are so fucking obese they wouldn't be able to get their 200 lb 7 year old daughter back there
I'd fucking own an ST if it weren't for the ugliness of 4 doors
Tell me /o/, why are coupes and 3 door hatchbacks dying? Is it because of fatasses and lazy people?
>>16231047
Looks like a hand vaccum
>>16231053
kek, yeah i see it
also OP people prefer 5 doors in america because hatchbacks are poor people cars and poor people need as much utility as possible
5 door for comparison
>>16231078
If people are poor and looking for a practical car, why are they getting the performance trim? They should've had the 5 door for the other trims and 3 for the ST
ITT: We post times we crashed or almost crashed, and what car.
>Renault Clio
Was learning to drive and attempted to pass a bus while it was picking up passengers. BMW X3 appeared outta nowhere and there was a pretty nice head on collision. Not sure what happened regarding that as the insurance stuff was out of my hands, I was somewhat in shock but it looked pretty bad at the time.
>Audi 80
Scraped the shit out of some guys car once in a tight parking gap, I just drove off. Also once I parked too close too my neighbours fence at a time when the drivers side door was broken. I was too lazy to climb across the passenger seat into the drivers seat, so I just sat on the centre console and tried to tickle it backwards with the clutch using my right leg. Turns out operating the clutch is a lot harder with your wrong foot, I jumped the fuck out of the clutch and demolished his fence pretty good. Since it was like 1am I just parked elsewhere and no-one ever found out.
>E46 318i
Got a little too hektik while driving home (drunk but not too drunk), admittedly spurred on my a car full of pals. Ended up doing what I thought was a pretty epic skid but it soon ended in tears when I slammed the shit out of a kerb. Since the car was worth fuck all and I deemed it to be a right off (and I didn't want to be caught drunk driving), I fled the scene under the guise I was looking for a phone to call the AA. My assessment was correct, the car was royally fucked.
>E60 530d
Borrowed my dads car to pick him up from a casino (well, part of the night was spent at a casino, so I gather), dinked it a bit while backing it into the garage. Not much more to tell really.
That's about it for me, never really had any notable close calls.
I bumped a Lone Star Ram backing out of a Popeyes chicken drive thru because they were being too slow. 94 crown Vic.

Convince me not to get an R34.
>>16229524
you'll never be able to go through a drive through lest you have a passenger.
ever.
>>16229524
you should get an r34 if you can find one for an acceptable price. The R32-4 GTR's are fantastic cars.

How do I get over the everlasting shame of having failed as a driver?

lol faggot
take public transportation, we don't need fucktards like you causing more people to decide that self-driving cars are needed.
What's /o/'s consensus on this lad's new show?
>>16227761
Good fun.
Anyone expecting a serious car show can fuck off, it isn't meant to be serious.
There is already a GT shitpost thread. Look up in the catalog you blind fuck.
>>16227761
Pretty good so far, the constant repetition in episode 2 got pretty annoying but besides that it seems to be a return to form.
The celebrity bit is a waste of bandwidth, and the american driver isn't very good, but these are small issues
The "Gentleman's Agreement" in Japan asked automakers not to advertise more than 280HP, even if they made more. Officially, cars like the GT-R/Supra/RX-7 FD/Evo were all 280HP cars.
But what did they ACTUALLY make out of the factory?
280hp, you expect a sub 3l burner to make more?
>>16227651
Well they do regularly you fucking moron.

I loved my first car, it was a AE82 Twin Cam 16V Corolla, it's a shame you don't see them on the road anymore. What was your first car /o/?

Hey anons, can you switch out from 23570r16 to 23560r16 for a 2002 ford explorer xlt? Im a poorfag on a budget, and I found a sweet deal for the 60r16's. I would be swapping out all 4.

buy the proper tires. if you can't afford the right size you can't afford a vehicle at all.
>>16236672
But that's false, I already own the vehicle.
Just looking to replace 50% tread tires with brand new for a quarter of the price.
It's just going to be a lower profile that's it
I want my own car already.
I've never bought a car before and have always just my dad's whip.
What does /o/ recommend? New or Used? and why?
Both have their merits. It really depends on what you want, what you can afford and what you're looking for in a vehicle. New gives you a full warranty, piece of mind and if you like having a car no one else has used. Used will give you more for your money (usually) and you don't take as big a hit on depreciation.

Help! I need advice. I'm new to the US, and I'm not familiar with all makes/models. Had a low mileage 2013 Nissan Altima. Didn't like it for a few reasons. Someone went up my arse and totaled it last week, my rental is a Pathfinder. Really dig driving it, and it's handy for my business. Since I don't want to buy a Nissan, can anybody suggest a good similar sized crossover that would fit the bill. Don't mind a little older/a little more mileage. Would prefer bluetooth/rear camera, but would look at aftermarket kits. V6 a must. Any suggestions? Please help.
