Whatever mong owned my Mustang before me overtightened the bolts on the strut towers, leaving tiny round indents where the paint has flaked away.
I know it is mostly asthetic, but is there anything I can do?

Are AWD systems really this bad? How can Subaru be the only make that has a fully-functioning AWD system while others can't even do the basics?

Subaru isn't the only one, anything with a center diff will be able to do this test. That's the only point of comparison here. The transmission is delivering power to the driveshaft running out the back and to the front diff at all times but the RDU will selectively engage depending upon some logic.
The problem that they're highlighting here is that VDC is fucking retarded when interacting with these AWD systems. It detects the front wheels are slipping so it starts braking them and cutting throttle to reduce the slip.
As a result, because the AWD system requires that you power the front wheels in order to also power the rear wheels, cutting throttle to stop the front wheels from slipping causes the rear tires to not receive any power.
This may be better in modern VDC systems that aren't just blindly trying to minimize wheelslip. Otherwise you need to turn it off to go anywhere.
What Subaru conveniently neglects to mention is that by putting the engine so far forward and always distributing power to the front wheels that the car is going to be an understeering pig by default.
You can try the same experiment on the Skyline GT-R and find that it will climb a hill even if the rear wheels have no traction.

This isn't the Skyline GT-R but the modern GT-R has ATTESA with VDC and you can see that in VDC-R mode where it allows for some wheelslip that it will drive just fine in low traction conditions.

2 seaters
Has anyone who owns a 2 seater car really wished they had 4 doors?
Im looking at going from 4 doors/5 seat down to a 2 seater because im young and dont really "need" it but I want a bit of fun, I very occasionally use my boat like a ferry
Car will be a Ute so lack of storage space is no issue

I went from a Corolla that seated 4 comfortable with luggage room for all, to an AW11 that seats 2 and barely has luggage room for 2.
It's annoying sometimes, I can only use two small suitcases in the trunk, but once you understand how much room you have its not bad.
I love the fact that I'm never the one ferrying people around.

Whate exactly is a Ute, a pickup? I have a 2 door 3 seat Tundra and it's great but occasionally I need to transport more than 2 people and have to borrow a car.
So yeah there is the one drawback but 99% of the time it's not a problem.

New thread, last one died.
As a part of a winterball date with /pol/, we're doing joint /pol/ and /o/ singing. The song chosen for this occasion is Gas Gas Gas by Manuel (works well with both boards).

A couple of things since there's probably going to be a couple of newfriends:
If you wanna say whatever the fuck you want before/after the song, go for it but make it short.
You can hum to the melody inbetween singing if you want to.
You can post pics of your cars if you want to be included in either a slideshow or a collage - but only if you actually contributed. Car sounds are also welcome.
If you happen to be a college music major dropout, you can play an instrument to the music. If there's enough of you savants, I'm gonna make a 4chan's got talent version with only instruments and our beautiful voices.
It's done when it's done. Usually I wait a week for all the submissions to pop up in the drive then take a few days depending on how busy I am with real life stuff to finish syncing mixing and uploading.
Since the number of contributors expected is higher than usual, some quality control will be put into use. I won't use any potato mic contributions. Sorry guys, quality > quantity. Make sure that the file doesn't have the song in the background, too - only vocals. Try putting a sock over the mic to eliminate popping
ARTISTS WANTED. If you want to make a fan art for this, by all means go for it.

Hello again /o/. Car ended up sounding louder. the other night got extremely loud. was wondering if this could cause all the noise cause it sounds like its coming from the exhaust manifold when driving inside the car. It is before the muffler so i can see how it could be making the noise just trying to get a second opinion .
