Ok. So i'll get straight to the point

I'm a faggot that by /o/ standards I don't understand shit about cars.

So, choose the Perfect car for me having this in mind:

>9000 to 14000 € in PORTUGAL
>NOT FWD
>idgf is it's Diesel or Gasoline
> +150 hp / Good engine atleast
> No ENORMOUS gasoline drinker
> No ENORMOUS expensive maintencance
(by Enormous i mean, it doesn't have to be Cheap.. but no Super car expensive please)
>3 or 5 doors, as long as it HAS ATLEAST 4 SEATS
>Not to OLD as family unfortunately wont approve
>Preferably liked (atleast a 6,5/10) by /o/

So, that's all. Go.

Have in mind the fucking Portuguese prices, as here we fokin get Opel Astras for +/- 8k and shit....

>inb4 do your own search
I already did, and I found nothing good as I am a feggit and can't find good cars for it price. So help me out

Don't let me be just another shitty car faggot

Only let me be a faggot.

Peace

come on, help a feggit out.

I cant do this shit alone

Atleast tip me with only one car ffs

All 150+hp non-fwd cars are 1) enormous gas drinkers, 2) expensive to maintain and 3) old, because new standards make it even harder.

For anything more specific, define your limits more accurately.

You may be looking for something around a Legacy GT if it's going to be a family car.
>>

Well I think your best bet would be to
>Not to old
Kill yourself.

Buy a hatchback, mk4 golf 2.0L
Safe, 5 seats, good on gas. Fun-ish handling if you ignore the slow

Guys I have $ 3000, live on the east coast.

Need a reliable truck, something not terrible on gas like a v6 and is capable of hauling motorcycles and the occasional car.

A real man's commuter truck, I'm not going to put a lift on it and stand next to it jerking off in my driveway while sniffing diesel fumes and occasionally wincing at the glance of me in the chrome bumper's reflection.

No bro-trucks.

So what are my options?

Also no dakotas, I had an '87 what a fucking piece of shit.

Why don't people like smaller wheels?

>Better ride comfort
>Lighter
>Cheaper tires
>Handles potholes better

I think they can still look good on a car depending on the style, like pic related.

Question would it be cheaper in long run to buy a new car and maintain it or buy a used car and go from there?
I don't know too much abotu cars but smart enough to learn
10 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>16266137
Whole lot of variables there. A 10 year old neglected BMW will most likely cost more in the long run than a new Accord.
>>
It's never ever ever cheaper to buy a new car. In your situation where you have the money/credit etc to buy a new car and you want to make a wise decision and learn as you go I would suggest buying a certified preowned cat with a warranty. Do your research on advance about which one you want and learn the basics of maintaining while it's still covered.
>>
>>16266137
It depends on the lengths you're willing to go to keep one running.

A new one costs more when it fails. An old one will have you going back to the shop often just to get it to a level where its reliable.

G35 hands down.

Might be the oldest if the bunch but it sure it's the better car.

Unless you doing enjoy driving. If you want an appliance then stick with the lancer.

Hey. This is a 1999 Corvette from what i can see in the license plate.

Can someone tell me it exact name? Thanks

That appears to be a Corvette C5 FRC (Fixed Roof Coupe, later used for the Z06 models in and after '01)
>>
>>16265936
Actually you know what, that's a regular C5 hatch model. Not an FRC, just noticed the trunk isn't separate. The angle made it look off to me.

Cyrus.

Never been here so sorry if I don't follow proper format

Im trying to replace the down/flex pipe and catalytic converter on the exhaust of my 2006 Kia spectra

Pic related is cat. Very rusty on each end of gaskets. My question is, when I get this new cat and flex pipe (the one running from engine to cat) will I have to weld these together on top of tightening the nuts? Or do people just generally put gaskets in between the pipes ends and tighten with nuts and bolts?

Never did a full exhaust or anything with exhaust really. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I bought some of that resin high temp tape and patched it up. Went from loud as fuck to 0% noise right after the patch. Now it's loosening again because I didn't use metal clamps.

So yeah, main question is, welding a must when piecing together exhaust pipes?

Quote at the garage was 1300.00

Found the parts online for 60.00 (flex) and 210.00 (cat) I want to go back to garage and ask if they'd install the pieces if I have them shipped. I know some places give shit about not using "proper" parts though. "proper" just meaning their expensive ass fuck parts.

I fucking hate mechanics like this.
>>
>>16265801
Depends on how it's coupled, I assume you have a triangular opening on one end of the cat? If so then gaskets and maybe some exhaust rtv.
>>
>>16265821
I'm thinking about getting this one. Is this considered triangular? The one end that connected toward the muffler pipe, had an end like the one in link. Kind of triangular, but 4 spots for bolts.
