I have the opportunity to pick up 2 Subaru XT6 for fairly cheap. One is only for parts but the other looks and runs pretty well for a 20 something year old car.
My question is, is this a decent car? I really love the 80s trying to be futuristic styling, but I have never ever seen one of these at meets or on the road which is a little concerning. Is that because they are rare, or is it because they are pieces of shit no one wants to put money into?
Also, I have a daily so that isn't an issue

They don't make a whole lot of power from the stock engine, but they are pretty damn good looking.

Well, I hope you aren't looking for speed because you won't find any here. You have a parts car, and I'd assume mechanical parts are still easy to get, so it shouldn't give you much trouble there.
You don't see many because I don't think they were a high production car in the US, and as I said have little performance despite appearances, so they were treated like any old shitbox.
It'd be pretty cool to get an AWD model and drop in a modern STI engine. I'm sure there will be a fresh stock of those after all the Ken Block Jr. get out in the winter months

I’ve been watching “The Walking Dead” zombie apocalypse tv series, where by my off-the-cuff calculation, the characters are well into their 4th year after the collapse of civilization, yet they are _still_ driving around Harleys, campers, cars and trucks with apparently no mechanical or drivability issues.
Now I’d think that any gasoline the survivors would find, would be throughly skunked after four years and unusable, right?
And trying to use this old gas this would presumably result in gummed-up fuel lines, filters and carburetors / fuel injectors and ultimately failure of the vehicle, correct?
And doesn’t gasoline lose octane over time when it becomes skunked? Wouldn’t this mean that using skunked gas would result in all kinda pinging and knocking and fairly quickly, burning a hole in the pistons?
tl;dr How long does gasoline last until it’s no longer usable in a vehicle?

So my cunt neighbor hit my parked car and bailed without leaving a note, and it's about $1500 in damages. I know the assholes who did it, and I've got a video from my other cooler neighbors of their truck backing into it, but they won't own up to it, and without a license plate number there's really not much I can do about it. The truck hasn't been back since.
Here's a screencap of the Tundra nailing it. The plate is visible, but it's really hard to read. I've been spamming a license plate lookup service to see if I get a match on a 2009-11 Tundra, but I haven't found it yet. If anybody knows how to focus digital images and help me out I'd really appreciate it.
I know the format for these Texas plates is ABC 1234 which should help narrow it down

I personally would love an aftermarket 2DIN touchscreen headunit that can be ordered with the OEM infotainment system for whichever brand your vehicle is.
Like if you have an older Chevy and want to get a headunit with GM's new Chevy MyLink system.
Also, with USB, aux ports and a CD drive but that should be standard fare anyways.
Or an option to have an Android based system if your company isn't around anymore like Saturn.
