Lmao I saw this last night. Some weeb moron will probably end up forking over at least 4 grand for it.
1.5k would be MAX if that thing has a clean complete interior.

Should I change my tire or does it still look good?
Do you guys run them till the tread runs out? Hasn't hit the wear bar yet but it's near it, will probably taking a trip to LA for Xmas so I'm wondering if it still has another 800 miles in it.
>>16279175
Id change it simply because it is not a very good tyre.
But no it is fine otherwise.

Forced to downgrade from WRX to 2015 Lancer GT.
Lancer is desperately slow. Would it be worth the money and effort to try to mod/tune anything? Not interested in a swap of any kind. Thing has a CVT transmission. Would all Gains be gobbled up in that?
Help me /o/
>>16278728
Why would you be forced to downgrade? Did faggot babby OP finance a car he couldn't afford?
>>16278728
>Thing has a CVT transmission.
Don't mod it. You'll blow that trans up in a heartbeat.
Also hope you have a warranty.
Why did you buy a modern Mitsubishi?
Man, I know it's such a meme car but,
does anyone own an HHR? Kinda sorta want one, even though they look silly and I've heard not the best about them

Goodnight OP.
>>16278669
Reliable but soulless underneath. Shitty interior.
>>16278669
It's better than the PT because the suspension is better, better mileage, and better engine choices
It's literally what the PT should have been, mechanically speaking
Why can't /o/ be more like /g/? I go there to as a dumb technology related question and nobody replies. Meanwhile on /o/ shitposting occurs and everyone jumps to take the bait. Why do you idiots feed retarded threads (YOU)'S?

Thinking about getting a 2017 civic sedan. LX-T model.
Should I get the manual or the automatic? I'm not racing it, which is the only reason I'm considering the automatic. It will be a commuter car for my family.
Consumer reports show a ton of complaints ranging from the electronics to the engine, but the engine seems to be limited to Dec.-Feb 2015-2016 VIN's. Are these issues being/have been addressed? Will the 2017 be good?
Is there another car at or around that price that you would recommend? Looking for fuel efficiency and rear seating size.
Is that the CVT ?
>>16278090
Yea, this auto is a CVT.
>>16278088
Just get an old v6 accord for less than 10k.

Is skipping gears bad for gearbox?
It can lug the engine (low oil pressure) if your revving low enough.
I usually go from 4 to 6 if I'm doing a hard pull in 4th and my rpm is high.
Short answer: no.
Longer answer: it can be bad if you, say, went from the top of 2 to 5. That would simply where your synchro a little more. And like other anon said don't shift into an rpm range that would hurt the engine.
So basically let the revs fall before you skip gears and don't lug the engine.
New to driving manual. Still getting the hang of hitting first gear quickly from a stop and riding the clutch in very slow situations.
Other than that, is it bad to take turns with the clutch depressed if you've got the speed for it and then to add gas if you need to or should the goal be to maintain gas throughout the whole turn (with or without any riding the clutch at all) ?
Yes I'm an idiot.
>>16277203
you should be in gear when turning. or going from 1-2 during the turn but not lingering with the clutch depressed.
>>16277209
Thanks! I'll start doing that.
Is it better to shift into neutral and coast to a stop light at a stop (red light) or should I stay in gear until the last second and then shift to neutral and stop. I suppose the latter in case for some reason I still need to goose it if something comes up? I know these are dumb questions but I've got no one to ask and if I can learn best practices from you guys...I can build habits now I suppose.
>>16277203
Be in gear while entering the turn, otherwise your tires wont have traction and you could spin out. Go in without throttle, middle of the turn apply a bit of gas, then step on it while exiting.
Hey guys, looking for some brake advice. I have an 03 x type 3.0 and I just replaced two calipers and the master cylinder. I bench bled the master and there's no more air in it, but the pedal still goes to the floor. It hisses on the way down and sometimes makes a sneezing kind of sound. Do I have a bad booster, or maybe just a bad check valve? Pic related.
>>16277133
Are the calipers installed on their correct sides, with the bleeder screws on top?
If so then it's still got a lot of air somewhere. ABS brake systems give a lot of hassle with bleeding unless a pressure bleeder and a scan tool that can exercise the ABS solenoids are used.
>>16277334
I've bled like a mother fucker with nothing coming out and no pressure building in the pedal. I actually found several other people having the booster go bad after just doing brakes with no explanation as to why it happened. I've already pulled the booster and am about to go get another. Hoping for the best
>>16277816
Also the hissing was from around the booster like a leak in the diaphragm.

Post interesting, rare, vintage, retro, vaporwave/vaporware, oldschool auto photos here.
Is there a reason why RX8s are so overpriced on the sites I'm looking at?
For example, KBB rates an RX8 2004 at ~50k miles at like $3k, and yet on Autotrader and CL I keep seeing cars listed at 8-9k, and half the time they're in sub-par condition, need work (or just don't work), etcetera. All 2004 or 2005 models btw, which is nonsense
What's worse is I keep seeing ENGINELESS RX8s trying to be sold for 2k+.
Am I missing something here? Are people just fucking retarded?
Reason 1 - everyone knows about the premix meme now
Reason 2 - everyone finally blew up engine #1 and put new engines in, so the value went up
>>16275822
Yeah, you. KBB is pointless. The prices on ebay and CL dictate what people sell it for. Don't like it look in other states and major cities. Engine-less modern car for $2k..... put $3k into a used engine and install.... Bam $5k car. Faggot.
>>16275822
Are you looking for only manual rx8s? The autos sell for way less, skewing the kbb.
I'm about to buy a 96 LS400 with 138k on the clock. What should I know to make me rethink the decision?

>>16275546
I really want to like the LS400's but I can't find anything capable of sharpening the handling to the point it could be considered a sports sedan.
>>16275571
Accurate. GS400s and IS300s were designed for that. Not these ones.
