How's this car for a first time driver? Getting my license soon and I can't resist an old toyota.
Watch out for leaves.

Find me one of them for £350 and I would consider it.
My mustang is leaking coolant, FAST. It's coming from the front of the engine, any ideas?
Well get under it and take a look, idiot.

I'm from Europe and have never seen a muscle car before. What are they like? Are they big? Is it true they are bad at turning? How comfy and practical are they?
>>16282351
modern ones are big. if you're use to driving sport compacts the interior of the mustang will feel like a truck interior
>are they big
Bigger than an econobox, but in truth they're smaller than you think. For whatever reason the new Mustang looks huge in photos but isn't enormous in person.
>bad at turning
The modern 3 (4 if you count the charger and challenger as separate cars) all turn fine, the Mustang and Camaro actually handle extremely well.
>comfy and practical
Theyre by no means a luxo-barge but they have decent size trunks and rear seats. Charger would be the most spacious. Fuel economy wise they're not very practical outside of America because our fuel prices are so cheap.
>Are they big?
Big but not massive
>Is it true they are bad at turning?
Newer ones handle surprisingly well, older ones aren't great at handling but not as bad as /o/ memes about.
>How comfy and practical are they?
Depends on the car and trim but pretty comfy and practical if you don't need to fit humans in the back seats. When I say comfy I mean as a whole experience, not literal comfort; for example if I was comparing a current-gen Mustang with Camaro the latter's interior is a lot more comfy to me due to its styling and such as the Mustang is too shiny and sterile feeling.
They're pretty comfortable DDs that perform well as opposed to a performance car that can serve as a DD such as a Cayman.
I put heet in my car, got gas, and now it won't start. Pic related, car is 02 blazer.
I don't think Heet had anything to do with it not starting.
>>16282358
Well it didn't have this problem before I got gas and put the heet in. The battery is fine it just won't turn over.
Could be a clogged fuel filter
Quick question: Does the lenght of a car actually do anything for a car? I know that too much can be detrimental (limousines) but what advantage would a medium lenght car have over a shorter, more driftier car?
>but what advantage would a medium lenght car have over a shorter, more driftier car?
Other than purely practical stuff like a shorter car being easier to park, shit like that, the main difference comes to wheelbase length.
The Lancia Stratos for instance was so great because its short wheelbase made it handle considerably better and faster than its competitors. It contributes a lot to the size of your turning circle, etc.
>>16282282
Shorter car = better turning radius
Longer car = better high speed stability
>>16282307
Really? So it's just more mass=greater force & higher grip on the wheels? That makes a lot of sense, actually. Cars are part of a very fluid science.

In 1971 Chrsler had by itself 3 coupes

Alright Br/o/s, I've come to you for help. I know a lot about cars, and I spend countless hours watching videos about engines, reviews, and different brands, all in attempt to increase my general knowledge of brands, builds, etc. But I'm still missing something.
I don't know how to drive a manual transmission.
I'm a poor college student who still drives a 2006 Impala that I bought from my dad when I moved out. I don't need a new car, but I want a new one. I really want the 2007 CTS-V for the 6L LS2, but I don't know how to drive it because it's stick.
So. What do you think is the best source to learn how to drive stick, short of actually doing it? I want to have a pretty good idea of what to expect when I ask to learn with my uncle's BMW. (Read: I don't want to look like a fag and stall his 50,000$ car)
Do text guides do any justice? Are videos better so the engine noises are comparable to the actions?
Dump your best tutorials and guides, please.
You seriously don't have a friend you can ask to teach you?
>>16280566
Watch manual car videos. Watch how the gears work. Then watch actual instruction videos and larp with your feet under your desk or table or beanbag chair.
Then when you first get into a manual car, don't touch the gas and try to feel the biting point without use of the gas pedal.
Move to Yuropoorland.
>>16280566
The only best source for learning to drive stick is to go just try and drive one. watch some videos if you have no one who can teach you, so you learn the basics of how it works. You have to get in one and drive it. that is the only way to learn.

Hey /o/ I'm going on a road trip but my car has a faulty wheel bearing - could this be detrimental?
My mechanic who's surprisingly a great guy, knowledgeable and not out for money, says it isn't anything that will break me down. Looking the subject up though - just about everybody is saying to replace it because it could lead to deadly outcomes. Replacing it would put a dent in my wallet and plans, since I'm leaving very soon and didn't think this would be much of an issue.
Is this crucial to fix before the 1k mile trip? Can I make it and get it fixed at my destination, or is this absolutely necessary?
>>16279235
I killed a wheelbearing in my truck and have ignored it for 11,000 miles, if anything, it's less loud now.
Really depends where it is.
It will definitely cause increased wear on your tire along with an uncomfortable and tense ride. Theoretically the wheel could seize but it'd probably take more than 1k miles to get to that point even if your particular car has that potential. At the very leadt, ignoring it will cause very accelerated wear to other parts of the suspension on that corner.
>>16279235
Expect it to be louder by the end of the trip, replace it when it becomes unbearable.
They don't really blow apart until they're extremely worn, like the driver has been hearing the noise for a long time.
>It's only 1,000 miles you'll be fine.
