Why can't chevy make a fucking car that doesn't overheat when used as it was intended?
Seriously whats the point of a race-sports car if it can't perform like one
That and hundreds of hundreds of HP and it is shit compared to other cars with far less HP. Are american cars such shit that they're ONLY good in straight lines? Why can't they have good suspension with a low center of gravity that would give it good ability to actually race in anything NOT a straight line
>buy my Grandpa's car

> It's been replaced with a 7/8 inch bolt, with some kind of drain tube in the middle
> Grandfather always went to the dealership
> they customized HIS vehicle, to suit THEIR needs
I know it's just a little bolt, but I'm kinda pissed. Dealerships take advantage of people all the time.
Am I overreacting?
>>16315522
I've heard of this but never seen it. What type was it? petcock?
They tend to leak and hang down a bit lower so it's easier to snap off if you hit something, hallmark of lazy fuckers.

Another bus rider pretending to be a car enthusiast, move along.
>>16315573
I really don't know what it is. It has a rubber plug, but when you pull it out, no oil comes out. So it must have a special drain tube.
>>16315585
can you FUCK OFF. I didn't think to take a picture holy shit.
It's not like I'm talking about some mythical engine or something.
Which has better vehicles overall?
>>16315353
Subaru, hands down.
I wish the outback a wheels weren't so fucking ugly stock, would rather have hubcaps, besides that I really like the look of the newer Subaru but have yet to drive one, had a gen 1 legacy though
Lesbaru, is this even a question?

should GM give hummer another chance?
with g classes selling like hotcakes i think there's room for some competition
maybe reboot the H1 under GMC to save time and money?
>>16315190
No. By the time you get something like that to meet modern safety and emission bullshit it will be a Minivan based FWD piece of shit. A Suburban is close enough.
They gave away /sold the licending or something to china and I think there's a company that still makes them. American Hummers are die. I'm pretty sure you can buy a street legal humvee for less than the mercedes anyways

Nice to see Toyota back in.
Now that VW is gone who is going to _winslol now?
Why am I so fucking bad at car/bike tests?
I failed my driving test 4 times before I finally passed.
I just failed my bike test today.
I literally want to fucking kill myself. tests in the UK are fucking ridiculous as well, you can get failed for little things and they layout is retarded bad.
Its made so that, in theory, only people able to safely operate a vehicle in traffic can pass
Blame yourself, not the test
>>16314806
I know that feeling. I flunked the drivers test 4 times as well. My parents never owned a car so they couldnt teach me. Driving lessons are really expensive here so I tried cutting corners, didnt work.
Just hang in there.
>>16314806
I failed a number of times too. Driving 25 in a 30 was one, failure to use the horn was another.
Unless you're a cute girl it's pot luck if you pass. Wear a suit though so they don't think you're a boy racer.
Me being unfamiliar with this, I must ask. Is everything listed here what I need to replace my front disc brakes?
Brake rotor(2)
Bracketed brake caliper-passenger-driverside
Brake pads(4)
Brake disc hardware kit
Brake grease
You want a brake bleeder kit and new fluid too if you're replacing your calipers.
>>16314813
OP here, what's is the fluid called?
>>16314825
Uh, brake fluid? Look up what your car uses. Depending on how old the fluid is you might need to completely bleed out the old fluid or just add a bit more once you've bled the air out of the lines.
Any idea what this is? Is it damage? Or some mod or something?
that's a hole, looks like its broken revealing the backing under that vinyl covering, hope you're just shitposting

When will they learn?
third
Took my vehicle to an auto body shop a little while ago. Had no brakes. Was putting my foot through the floor board like fred flintstone to stop.
They took a look and said I needed a new caliper, two new rotors, and 2 new pads. $500 for parts and labor. Chevy Blazer 2000.
Fair price? I know dick all about cars.
That ain't all too bad. You could probably get it down to $200 by doing it yourself, but for a shop to do it thats a fair price
>>16314474
Not bad. It's not a hard job but it's a bit time consuming, and the parts aren't too cheap either.
>>16314474

Thank you!
What the fuck is the point of this thing? If this is supposed to be a "keyless" access, who the fuck thinks it is easier than pulling out your key and unlocking the car?
Emergency solution?
>>16314122
It was the 90's/early 2000's. It was keyless, but in the end it didn't make sense because you still needed a physical key to start the car.
It's why that tech didn't pan out.
Lots of shit doesn't pan out in the end with cars, but if companies don't take risks pushing tech we won't see anything good.
