weight. The Pacer was DESIGNED for a GM-built dorito engine, but GM pulled the plug at the last minute. The AMC I6 engines that powered most of them was a last minute "OH SHIT! We don't have an engine!" move. Soing any kind of work to the I6, like say a valve cover gasket, is a MAJOR operation because the engine bay wasn't designed for it, which had the I6 engine half-under the fucking cowl.

Going around the block is even worse for the battery since the alternator can't spin fast enough to provide a charge for it since you're only going 30-45mph. Yes your battery will be dead in the morning. You need to drive it on the highway for about 30 miles at speeds above 70mph for best best results.

rally driving rarely has overtaking so I doubt that's what you're looking for. That's the only place where drifting makes sense because of the road conditions, otherwise you're just killing your tires.
