Hey /o/, I want to get a new economy car. What's my best option?
I test drove pic related and loved it
>>16325740
Don't. Just get a civic for 3k or a nicer used car.
>>16325740
a civic for 3k with a fiero body kit, tarbolternator
>>16325740
Whatever is the cheapest. Paying $25k for a Civic is dumb when a Cruze or Kia does the same shit for $10k less. Get rid of it before it gives you any issues.
Post "all-motor" cars that are not much more than an engine on wheels. Like a street legal dragster. Bonus points if it's affordable.
what car is this one?
Nd Miata?
some kind of weird dodge stratus

Vaporware
>>16325317
A vaporish name for a vaporware car, its just a shame that they didn't set the commerical to vaporwave.
Are winches a good tool to have if you do a lot of driving in the middle of fucking nowhere, Canada, and your 4LO cannot get you out of a ditch? What other alternatives there are out there?
I am not an experienced snow driver. I already have snow tyres, my truck is 4x4 but I will be doing a lot of driving in areas that are literally in the middle of nowhere, alone. Other than the usual (weight on the back, 4HI, bag of cat litter for added traction) I am willing to buy any accessory that might be the difference between frostbite and a scare.
>inb4 "just drive carefully lol"
>>16324870
not really. only good for offroad.
and only if there's rocks and trees to hook your shit to.
Get ama like the rest of us Canadians
Alberta class 1 rig pig
>>16324890
right, I already thought of that. Pic related is what I think could work
Retarded question, but I'm assuming if a winch is rated for 4000LB and my truck is 3000LB, I should be alright?
>>16324901
Not in Alberta, and no I don't feel like waiting for AAA for 4 hours when I could just buy a gizmo(s) to get me out of trouble

>I KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A STICK I SWEAR
No, no you don't
>>16324031
Amerifat here.
Every car I've owned has been a stick, including the one I just bought.
Can the Corvette be considered as a first-sports-car ? I plan on buying one in a manual, then getting used to it and then sell it and buy a more expensive one.
>>16323435
By "more expensive" I meant other cars like Porsches, Lotuses, Aston MArtins etc.
>>16323435
What have you driven before? If you've never driven a car with more than 300hp and rwd I don't know if anyone would recommend a sports car to you (especially since you sound very unconfident). A first sports car would be something like a mazdaspeed miata, 350/370z, any muscle car, frs/brz etc.
>>16325181
>Round corner in muscle car
>Crash
Nah I'd recommend a sports car
Hey d00ds, installing an amp/sub in my car, already done speakers. Speakers are rated at 80w RMS, and the sub is rated 150-300RMS.
If I get the Rockford Fosgate p600x4, which states:
Rated Power
(RMS Continuous Power):
75 Watts x 4 @ 4-Ohm
150 Watts x 4 @ 2-Ohm
300 Watts x 2 @ 4-Ohm Bridged
I would only be running front speakers from the amp, and bridging the other two channels for the sub. Does this mean my front speakers are getting 75w, and my sub is getting 300w? I'm not sure exactly how this works.
>>16323050
Dont have that exact amp, but yeah, you should be able to set it up like that.
Get separate 2ch and mono amps unless you just enjoy being retarded
>>16323050
Yes that's exactly it, but check you can adjust the gain on the bridged channels separately to the front channels or it will be boom boom boom.
How do I fix this?
>>16322444
>manual
>comes with free chicken
I see no problem.
>>16322444
remove cock
>>16322444
Not sure i see a problem OP
ITT: Cars you thought were cool as a kid but don't care for now.
As it turns out, having a 205mph top speed did not make the Murcielago goat like 8 year old me thought it did.
I used to LOVE the 944 when I was in middle school. It was my dream to own one some day.
Now I just imagine of fixing all the stupid shit on them. And how slow they probably are (I've never driven one) Nope thank you.
>>16322135
this. but highschool until 24
I want an mr2 instead.

i'm picking up my car tomorrow, it's a 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 (MPS or whatever) what should i know/do first. also AMA
>pic related looks like this
>>16321474
Is it stock?
t. Guy who works on speed3s from time to time.
>>16321474
Why MPS over the new model?
>>16321477
yup, bone stock. no sketchy mods. the owner before me was an ass hat and cut the springs to lower it because redneck town, but the dealer is replacing them and some other stuff for the saftey. im essentially getting a brand new car.
I just became a car salesman, how doomed am I?
Also, AMA
>>16321313
>AMA
sage goes in all fields
>>16321313
I work in the IT department of a car garage with six "stores" in Europe.
Have you worked as a car salesman before? If you have, then you know how it works, you work for maximum three years at the same garage and then you move on after making a few mistakes.
If not, enjoy the ride. In the 5 years I've worked here, I've seen more car salesmen pass than I've seen customers.
I don't mean to demotivate you, just make sure you learn all the models, options or packs and you will be fine.
>>16321313
New or used? Have you done this before?
If not, a word to the wise... never calculate your hourly rate. Another pro-tip: ALWAYS wear your least favorite ties when you start out.
There's a used 2015 Chevy Sonic down the road from me that I really like
>40k miles
>1.4 ecotec turbo
>6 speed auto
>$11k
Should I go for it /o/?
>>16320970
>gm
11k seems a little high for a 40k miles car, I may be wrong, check other comparable listings on autotrader or Kbb or something
Also read the sticky m8
>>16320975
I found the Ford guy
Didn't see one and I have a frickin question
What is this on my rims and how should I clean it off?
>>16298440
Looks like paint flaking off. Wire brush it.
>>16298440
i have a full set of 99 s10 4x4 wheels, no pitting or staining, all yours for 20 bucks
gotta come to canada to get em tho
Paint is flaking off, uncovering the primer beneath
Damned impressive that they dont seem to have any rust yet, and as such it'll be way easier to clean and repaint them
