Just wondering... Are these kinds of pics shopped?
>>16377552
Certainly they are.
But so are pictures of super models.
Does that make a super model is somehow less beautiful, though?
>>16377552
what makes you think it's been shopped?
>>16377552
Not photoshopped to the point of replacing the background. But its alot of light painting and playing around with HDR
How did we do /o/?
Also not my car but obviously similar.
You guys don't like cars much do you?
Crossovers so boring I had to read thumbnail to even know what it was. Enjoy your a to b though, should be reliable

Hey /o/ i know i posted this earlier but thread 404d before i could read the replys. It was snowing bad today and got stuck twice and both times i smelt burnt tire cause i was trying to move when i was stuck. Its also a manual would it be from the clutch or tires. I doubt it would be the clutch i know how to drive stick and wasnt even on the clutch when i was trying to move. Would it be just the tires i added wear to?
>>16376777
Clutch and tires are two different smells. I would bet you just roasted the tires a bit if you dig all the way to pavement or grass
Clutches smell kind of sweet and plastic
All i smelt was burnt tires and i know what clutch smells like. So the clutch should be fine then, now for the tires i assume i just wrecked the tread on them a bit
Is the mk3 golf GTI really as bad as they say? I'm considering buying one because Mk2s are very hard to find here. It would be my first manual car as well, and I've decided if I got one I'd have the 16V because 8V is apparently really fucking slow. Can anyone give some fatherly advice?
Pic is unrelated, current car
It's okay as an econobox to drive around in in a sensible manner
>>16376768
Nah if you get a mk3 you'll want the vr6.
>>16376935
Apparently they have shit balance and understeer due to it being mounted in front of the axle
Who makes the best V6 engines and why is it Nissan?

>>16376581
I pity any poor soul who has to work on that engine. With as complicated as it is, before even considering the 2 turbos, those things are going to be hugely unreliable.
>>16376596
How is it more complicated than any other v6?
Hey /o/ I am looking to get a used full size suv for hauling boats up to 6500lbs and taking my 240z to track days on its trailer. As of right now I am leaning towards a 2000's suburban because I have a few friends that had them and I always found them comfortable and reliable...
I would like to keep the budget under $8,000 and year is not very important to me. What would /o/ suggest I look for and what is acceptable millage?
Do you have any objection to a van/bus or are you dead set on a SUV? There are a lot of older vans and ambulances and school buses (small kind) that have the old school 7.3L diesels in them. Torque for days, hella reliable, and cheap as fuck. My buddy literally uses an ambulance to tow his motorhome/trailer thing along with 4 motorcycles
quad cab Ram or Tundra
>>16376252
My only problem with the ambulance/bus idea is because I'm towing race boats I end up at yachtclubs quite often and when your around those places appearance is actually somewhat important... Would be a bit funny to roll up with the lights flashing though.
does anybody on /o/ drive anything besides miatas and econoboxes?

What is your personal favorite road legal vehicle commonly available for under $5k?
Probably your mother. Only thing is although she's huge, her interior is very tight.

Looking to buy a truck, but I literally will only use the bed of it once in a blue moon (camping or helping friends move or maybe pull a boat if I ever buy one). It has to be 2013 or newer, and I'm not willing to give up my sporty acceleration I'm used to. What are my options? Are they all the same?

so winter is here and my car has a clogged heater core. Hot air will come out very lukewarm.
So on my car replacing the heater core is extremely complicated and expensive so that is out of the question. Flushing it is a good idea except ive been reading the tubes from the heater core are made out of plastic and after 15 yrs of service life they WILL break and youll be stuck with a huge problem
So my question is, can I use some kind of radiator cleaner from autozone and just let it run in my cooling system for a few days to unclog my heater core or no? also whats a good radiator cleaner?
Look online and figure out which is the inlet and outlet for the heater core from the engine bay side of the fire wall.
Drain the coolant.
Disconnect the hoses.
Shove a 3/4"hose adapter for a hose into the outlet hose.
Slowly, SLOWLY, run water backwards through the core until it's clean.
This works as long as there isn't a leak in the core.
Don't be a pussy, take that dash apart and replace the core.
>>16375471
the problem is the inlet and outlet hoses for my cars heater core are made out of brittle plastic and they love to break when theyre handled
2000 Honda CR-V with a B20Z2
I have an oil leaking from a plug of some sort that is located between the valve cover and upper radiator hose, just in front of the distributor. What is this plug, and is this something I can stop without pulling the valve cover. I'm planning on doing a timing belt in the spring, but I want to stop the leak between now and then.
>>16375342
If you are willing to do the timing belt why aren't you willing to take the valve cover off?
>>16375350
Because I don't want to buy two sets of gaskets if I don't have to.
>>16375360
>get brake cleaner
>get silicone sealant
>totally strip all dirt and grease from around mystery plug with brake cleaner
>apply silicone around mystery plug
>let cure before starting engine
>????
>profit
So I've done many after market radio installs, except this time I may have made a mistake I was unable to get it to turn on lastnight so I put it aside for the morning. I originally was using the ignition cable and ground wire from the cigarette lighter I then switched the ignition cable from the radio to the 12V Battery Switched cable and it turned on after putting my battery in but upon starting the vehicle the dash began to flick rapidly and now the car wont start and the electric key wont lock the doors, side note my dash still shows my total miles and trip meter

I drive an 05 9-3 aero. It starts doing wonky shit when the battery is at low capacity like dash lights staying on all night, locks not working in unison. Take your car to a pets store and get the battery tested. If it's low on CCA replace your battery and it may solve your problem. If car won't start take out battery and walk ur ass to the store to have it tested :)
I recently acquired a 2006 Cadillac STS with 25k miles for under 5k. I'm extremely happy with the deal but I feel the car looks like it would belong to a older driver. Are there any exterior visual mods that I should look into?
>>16374282
No. Any mods and you'll look like a nigger.
>>16374282
