Try to match your recommendation to the functional utility of the car in question.

I'll start:

Just get one of these. Use the leftover $15k-$20k to buy an actual AMG.

Ford 302 oil dipstick tube replacement

Do I just hammer this bitch in or what? I just have a hole in my engine block that splashes oil out right now

it should just slide in....

That tab bolts to the head.
>>
>>16414819
It's too wide at the bottom only the very bottom 8th of an inch is tapered. Upon comparison it seems the OEM one is wider at the top too and pressed to fit narrow at the bottom. I think it's a maleable metal but Im not sure and didn't want to jusy hammer it in
>>
>>16414849
then try using a 2x4 or some shit so you don't ding it up.

Make sure the old dip stick didn't break off flush with the hole first.

Hopefully others will find this thread useful.

I've been driving stick for about 8 weeks in a 98 Accord shitbox (pic related). I'm competent and don't stall anymore, but my shifts aren't always perfect.

How long did it take /o/ to achieve really smooth shifts all the time, or do you ever get to that point?

How old is too old to be driving cars with big wings and shit?

I've always been a 'too classy for riceboy' fag when I was younger but the whole Evo/sti look has really been growing on me lately that I am looking to finally owning one. fuck the whole 90s Jap sportscar aesthetic has been growing on me

I'm approaching 30 (27 right now). Am I getting too old for this shit

Like I won't be going full ridiculous rice. Just stock rice

Yes. I was thinking 25 as the upper range.

I have been looking for the answer all afternoon but aparently my google-fu is too weak or I am too retarded to find the answer myself

What sorts of specs do I need to look at when looking for a car radio so that is compatible with my current car? I have old 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage that I want to upgrade with a nice radio but I have no idea what to look for so that it is compatible with the car
25 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
just go to the crutchfield website and use the wizard

done
>>
All radios are compatible with all cars, basically. You either have single-DIN or double-DIN space to work with. The one in your pic is single, double is twice as tall as that.

If you're looking for an upgrade and you don't know fuck about car stereos (you don't or else you wouldn't be asking this) look for one that has small amplification built into it. Most stock car speakers are 10 watts each, if you want more volume look for one that's 40-50 watts on each channel. Buy some better speakers to match or else you'll blow out the factory ones.

As far as hooking it up, best buy and walmart have wiring harnesses that convert your old wiring to the new radio, it's extremely straightforward with color coded wires.
>>
>>16414386
This, to be honest.

>>16414399
This anon is, in general, correct.

You will also need a dash kit to make it fit the factory trim. Most likely anyway, some cars have true single or double DIN and have no need for it.

So people are all mass circlejerking electric cars because they're supposedly cleaner or more efficient than normal gas burning cars, right? My problem with this is that the electricity still has to come from somewhere, so you're still expending energy to push the pistons and make the car move.

Why hasn't anyone done work towards making a car that doesn't need energy to move? All you would have to do is open the throttle and it would go - no need to charge up the car or pump it full of gas. A car that didn't need energy to move would be way better for the environment than pumping oil or strip mining minerals for batteries.

Electricity is not the clean energy, but a readily accessible alternative energy, while oil maybe will not gonna run out in our live time, but extraction will be harder and more expensive. Also for countries like Japan and China, also some European countries, those have to import oil to satisfy domestic needs, electricity is an better alternative choice since there are more ways to generate electricity, if more and more of their citizens turned to electric cars, oil can be saved for more strategic use.
Also, the environmental impact of generating electricity will be hugely depend on the method, country with more percentage of nuclear power plant will likely be cleaner running electric cars than countries with coal burning power

>Why hasn't anyone done work towards making a car that doesn't need energy to move?
I see you failed grade 4 science class
>>
>>16414170
most electricity comes from dams. Soooo in a way its made by gravity. Thats about as clean as it gets.

also energy is required to do work...so you have to have energy to move a car on level or uphill roads.

Why can't cars be simple to work on anymore?

Why does the Miata get so much hate? I get that the styling is a bit feminine, but the car itself is pretty solid. Plus it has a nicer butt than most girls I've met.

I think a newer model escalade is the most based car to be driven around in. It's high above the ground so the ride is smooth and you don't have to duck down whenever you get into it. Also they're literally huge and compared to most other luxury SUVs in the price range they're well-equipped

Is this what happens when bus riders dream of what they want to own. Are they so used to having other people drive them they aspire to have a nicer bus?
