Looking for a new daily driver, have a 25-30k budget. Want something comfortable, sporty, has some kick, and has a good interior and tech. Been reading a lot of praise on the new GTI and can probably get a good deal on a higher trim because of the emissions scandal. Also looking at a V6 Accord Coupe. Been told in this budget range that I could look at some newish CPO Entry Level Luxury Cars.

What do you recommend for a Daily Driver in this budget range /o/?

how can you like the 190e cosworth? it has CIS injection. literally the worst fuel injection

prefer trans injection to be honest familia
>>
>>16417615
what is that?
>>
>>16417621
It was a gender joke because we can't stop fucking talking about gender shit.

I have a 300CE with CIS and it hasn't given me any apparent problems after 318K miles. Although full disclosure I have only had the car for 2.5 years now and have no REAL idea how the POs maintained it.

Most people who do engine mods on the CIS-E engines put in a megasquirt or some shit, though.

Canadian here.

I've never seen one, despite our import laws having a 15-year limit instead of 25.

I'd drive one.
>>
>>16417505
From every auction website for importing to Canada that I've seen, they're pretty expensive, so that could be why no one has imported them here yet.
Though, they are actually one of my dream cars, I'd love to own one. Too much of my money goes into fixing my current car right now though...

It's almost required on a Miata since the front bumper paint is flat on basically 100% of older ones.

I think plastidipping made them kinda obsolete, as a lot of people just waned the blacked out front end & a little protection, and plastidipping was a "simpler" and cheaper option

Near me the there is an offroad trail that recently subaru fan boys had to get rescued out of and the park was closed down. They all got stuck/broke down kek what a bunch of tards

What does that thing even cost?

It's the same reason they stopped making the Evo. They are marketed towards younger people who don't have the money to spend on stuff like that new. This is also why the second hand market is so fucked and overpriced on these cars and bikes.

>>16417004

>Are they good, reliable cars?
No. They were riddled with reliability and build quality problems.
>Should I get it?
No. Look at a Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Suzuki Kizashi, Pontiac G6, Saab 9-3 or Chevrolet Malibu instead.
They are all better built and much more reliable.

How hard is it to import and register a car into the USA? I really want a RHD Suzuki Cappuccino. They are hella cheap and look bad ass

25 years old or older cars only. the importing part costs about 3k with all the fees and taxes (pray you don't get inspected because thats an extra 1k)

you can go through an import company, but they charge premium (10k+ for a 91' jap econbox) for custom orders and don't really do many kei cars like that. its all skylines and other sportscars.
>>
>>16412962
>25 years old or older cars only
Importing current cars is possible. Things like an E61 M5 can be done, because the E61 (08 535) exists in the US and has crash test data, as does the E60 M5 (Sedan only).

It's mostly just the sedan drive train in the wagon.
>>
>>16412962
Holy fuck, $10k? What kind of services could they offer to justify that kind of a price? I assumed it would just be as simple as putting it in a crate and sending it off on a ship

Recently, my dad moved to Hawaii and left his truck for me.

It is a 1995 Ford F-350 Powerstroke Diesel crew cab, and it isn't running.

It has about 250,000 miles on it, but my dad told me that theoretically diesel engines can last a lifetime. Its been broken down sitting in a field for 3 years now, making an awesome home for some rats. I work construction and am in need of a truck, but have no experience working on cars let alone diesel trucks.

Different mechanics have taken looks at it and plugged their diagnostic scanners into the computer, but have gotten no error codes back. After charging the batteries, I tried to turn the engine over but the starter sounded soft. I think recently it had the starter replaced.

>>
Sorry I forgot to ask if anyone possibly knows whats wrong with it/had similar problems or for suggestions.
>>
>>16409418
Well, it's not turning over for a start.
Throw another battery at it and see if it turns it over at an acceptable rate, and glows the glow plugs. There's not much point investigating further until you sort that.
>>
>>16409421
I charged the batteries for about 7 hours today until the indicator light on the charger said they were all charged up. Assuming both batteries are good should I just take a look at the glow plugs now?
