Bought a 2004 WRX
how bad of a decision was this? and how bad of a money pit are they?
The major service with timing belt changes and shit is due the next service. around 6 months from now
how often should I be changing the oil on this or should I wait for that service to do it?
I also took my first manual lesson today which I posted about in another thread. still haven't driven my car myself yet. kind of getitng scared to.
was this car a bad idea for my first manual?
would you guys really give your 16 year old kid some souped up race car?

If he's proven himself as a responsible and talented driver through years of kart racing
Is my 16 year old an attractive female?
if male, theyre getting a subaru or audi stickshift wagon.
if female, same unless she vehemently wants something more feminine in which a jetta or camry
Most recent stuff youve done to your cars, /o/.
Swapped my shit tier OEM halogens for Sylvania Ultras on my 3.
Aaaaayyyyyy just swapped OEM D2S bulbs for some 6000k aftermarket ones and the fogs for LEDs.
I dropped a V8 into it

I'm considering buying this as a first car. How hard would it be to swap to a manual transmission?
What do /o/?
>muh manual
you should buy it then waste all of your money on a new engine suspension electronics and transmission
I'm also considering this:

Listen, I know you want this as your first car, aka the car you learn to drive on.
But take my advice this car is better left for someone with experience restoring cars. At least get some newer car first so you really know how to turn a wrench.
Im not calling u an idiot and I am not saying you don't know what youre doing but that is not a good choice for a first car.
Chances are, if you are saying first car you are a teenager. You do not actually realize how much this car will cost you.
Consider buying a newer muscle car, my friend.

Can a lack of a roof on a body on frame car weaken the structural rigidity?
>>16449145
only if the body is bolted to the frame in a manner to reinforce again torsion which aligns with the forces applied
>>16449157
like subframe connectors?

no like door panel clips
Do you guys think it is possible of driving from NYC to Los Angeles in one drive?
I just came back from a trip where I drove from just south of Montreal to Jacksonville FL. I did it one trip and it took me about 21 hours with only one pit stop for food and the rest gas. I think I could make it from NYC to Los Angeles in one drive. It's 40 hours in Google maps so realistically it's probably 46 hours.
bro i don't think you can do that and i discourage you from trying.

I live near cleveland, go another way. Nothing worth while in Ohio in that route.
Hey guys I have a question. What kind of LED headlights do I need to get for a 2012 Toyota Camry? Any suggestions on where I should buy the headlights from?
>>16448801
>aftermarket headlights
kill yourself
>>16448801
I have a 12 Camry and the stock lights are MORE than adequate and the only reason you want LED is because you think you need it....you don't.
Try taking your sunglasses off at night instead.
>>16450056
The stock lights on it are fucked up one of them is pointing to the ground literally and the other is pointing lower than it should. Instead of paying some ass hole to realign them I can just put in all new bulbs. Plus I drive on a dark highway with no lights a lot and have hit deer before so I want to be able to see.
>Dodge charger/challenge v6

I don't use my horn at all unless someone isn't paying attention to the light.
Never get angry at all while driving either, lifes too short as corny as that sounds.
Control issues. Most people have very little power over anything and will not impact the world in any way in their lifetime. Piloting a 3000 lb box is the most power they will ever experience. When people take that away from them by slowing them down for 10 seconds they have their power stripped and are forced to throw a tantrum.
Is an xr650l a good motorcycle for me? I have never ridden a motorcycle before and I'm 5'8. I've heard other people say that the saddle is too high. Would that be a problem?
>>16448064
Bump, I'm 5'8 with a 30 inch inseam and work boots that add an inch to my height. I want an XR650L for commuting purposes and wheelies.

My african american. I never found any interest in wheelies though. I don't even know how to do that on a bike.
