How long till she blows lads
>>16530913
About an hour if dinner goes well. Less if she doesn't mind giving road head.
It will be fine. Just drive as fast as possible. The outward force the tire experiences while rotating will flatten the bulge.
>>16530913
I drove on a tire with a bigger bulge than that for about a month. Rim was bent and cracked too, so it had a slow leak. Never had an issue while I was driving around on it, probably put a few thousand miles on it before it got replaced, it was on a company car that went ~250 miles/day. Only reason it was on there so long was because the one authorized company shop was 3.5 hours away one way.
My brake pads and rotors were changed about 3 and a half years ago and I've only put 20k miles on my car since then so I don't think they are the problem.
The scraping sound isnt very loud but it's noticeable. Did I pick up a rock or what?
yea you picked up some road debris or a rock
get a hammer and smack your brake rotor and caliper really hard and it should fall right out
>>16530886
ok ill try that
>>16530881
How many miles you put on the car has nothing to do with brake wear.
It's just an overpriced stretched lotus with a chevy engine
Prove me wrong.
>>16530741
Without knowing the extent of the chassis changes I can't say yes or no. Also don't know how much it costs. Regardless nobody should buy one because Hennessy is a thief.
>>16530741
Everyone already knows at this point they just like using it to troll people. i'm glad this car exist and i hope others like it follow because all the Veyron kiddies on Forza get BTFO and to add insult to injury just tell em its powered by pushrods.
If it were a rotary powered stretched lotus that could do 260+ people would be using it to troll others and shitpost as well.
When i first heard of the car i thought they were using a boosted LS7 which seemed fucking impossible because those engines aren't good with boost then i found out that it was an iron block LSx. still, i think cars like these were trying to prove how easy it can be to either take the crown from the Veyron or match its speed (yea i know its record was revoked) there was another car called the Ultimate Aero and there was an anon who had linked documents showing its recognition as a production top speed record holder which actually made VAG respond with a faster Veyron.
I think of these cars as parodies of the typical european supercar.
>here's a powerful engine in a carbon fiber tub now give me a million dollars and sniff my farts while you talk about how refined my shitbox is
pic most definitely related. without the Ferrari badge it would be a piece of shit even for late 80s-90s standards but with it its a marvel of "engineering", "quality" ,"sophistication" and any other buzzwords that could describe its unquestionable greatness.
>>16530741
THE FUNNY THING IS THAT THERE ISNT A SINGLE BODY PANNEL ON THE ENTIRE CAR THAT IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS WHAT IS ON A LOTUS
MOREOVER THE FRONT END DOESNT EVEN LOOK LIKE A LOTUS OUTSIDE OF THE HEADLIGHTS
How has an automaker not:
>use they're small FWD 4-door 4-banger platform (Corolla, Civic, Fiesta)
>remove rear seats, flip engine and trans to rear
Mid-rear engine, 2 door coupe.
It would weigh ~2,500lbs, and maybe cost $20-25k for the base model making 175-225HP or $30k-35k for a turbo model making around 300HP.
Because that's not how platform engineering works, let alone chassis design?
Not to mention most shit box econo cars have horrible rear suspensions.
>>16530773
Watch out guys, we got an engineering major here.
Fucktard, the read suspension would be completely different because it would now be the powered set of wheels.
>>16530712
renault did this
My parents just got me a 2017 911 Carrera GTS
what mods should I put in it to make it as fast as a ferrari?
>>16530405
It already is as fast as a ferrari
also bread on hood
none.
sell it and buy the better Porsche.
>>16530405
Are y'all niggas even trying any more?

i think so, way back in the day
I'm hopefully going to be starting an engine project soon. I have a 78 F150 with the straight six 300 in it with over 500k miles on it. I'm looking to buy a lower miles 300 build up a bit and swap in. Now that the back story is out of the way, I was looking to put an aggressive cam in it. I went to comp cams website and the most aggressive cam they have is a .456 valve lift and 268 duration. How would I figure out what cfm carb I should run as well as any other tips?
I can help you if you decide to do a rotary swap instead
>>16530201
I am seriously tempted to take you up on that. I am a fan of rotary engines and would like to know how to work on them.
>>16530231
keking at imagining a 13b swapped f150. would be ridiculous.
what are vehicles exclusively driven by males with low testosterone?
Anything with less than 8 cylinders and displacing less than 7 liters.

I bet they fuck more than you.
help me out, /o/, and I'll tell you how to beat the Eight Six on the downhill.
this is my speed sensor. something inside the tranny is chewing it up after I blew the clutch.
any ideas? car drives fine until on the highway, then randomly drops into limp mode for a few seconds
>>16529790
Bump I don't even have an answer
OP here- I looked up a diagram for my tranny and I'm still completely stumped, it's part no 13 (pick-up assy.) on here
http://parts.sonshonda.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=289283&ukey_make=988&ukey_model=13660&modelYear=2003&ukey_category=17206
so somehow the mainshaft is far enough out of line to gouge 1/8" out of the speed sensor?
>>16529790
You linked the automatic, not manual diagram
Anyways going by what I know:
Automatic uses a gear drive sensor for the speed sensor to tell torque convertor speed.
Manual most likely goes off teeth off the flywheel.
Generally speaking the only way for the gouging to happen on manuals is flywheel, clutch or transmission housing is out of alignment enough to rub against said sensor. Now this can be metal to metal contact or debris from your exploded whatever that wasnt cleaned up properly.
Nor it could be as simple as a missing gasket/washer to space it out far enough for proper operation. Keep in mind, these sensors work almost as the same as ABS sensors, and those always can operate on a SLIGHT airgap and still work fine. Course the closer the better.
Tl:dr need more info for proper diagnose but this should help.
Are Rebuilt Titles really that bad?
You're certainly not getting what you pay for, no matter how good you think the deal is. There's always something the seller's not telling you for the sake of getting rid of a possibly unfixable problem.
>>16529670
Yeah damn. The Carfax is dirty af but it appears to also been repaired pretty good.
>>16529670
>getting rid of a possibly unfixable problem.
Anything is fixable if you put enough money into it. Replacement frames are a thing, as are frame machines, and you can get any replacement panel you want, even if you have to drill out 100 spot welds so you can put 100 spot welds back in for the new panel. If it's flood damage, you can replace every wiring harness in the car if you want, and even put in a new drivetrain if it suits your fancy. However, people generally don't put that much effort in for a rebuilt.
Rebuilts are generally garbage, mainly because small independent shops typically pick them up for cheap, fix them in their spare time with cheap, free or half-assed parts, and then sell them for as much as they possibly can with the absolute bare minimum of time and effort put into them.
They'll probably be road legal, though they might not stay that way for long depending on what went wrong with them to begin with.
I bought a rebuilt once, among the problems I found were a timing chain that had been replaced, but had been installed a few degrees off, so the car would constantly stall in cold weather. The front bumper was literally held on with duct tape and tie wire, and if you didn't turn the headlights on before taking the parking brake off, the fog light lamp on the dash would flash 5 times, and the "service engine soon" light would come on. The car in question had no fog lamps, which made it all the more confusing. It also had a persistent check engine light for an evap leak somewhere, the AC didn't work and would blow the fuse every time you tried to use it, and despite having an ABS module in the engine bay, it had no ABS. I was moderately impressed with that actually, as the ABS light on the dash never lit up either. I would guess they either pulled the bulb for it or cut the wire that made it light up when there was an error.
How many cars on the road have oil leaks? Does every car get them eventually?
Mostly, yes. It's because gaskets and such eventually harden up/wear out and slow leaks start to occur.
>>16529413
You asked a stupid question
>>16529577
Why is it a stupid thing to ask? I want to know more about it and no one ever talks about it
Is Suzuki Ignis the car I'm looking for? I need a 4WD because where I live it snows basically every year and 4WD helps immensely.
Also
>I don't want to spend a shitton of money
>I don't want something that drinks a shitton of fuel
>I want something smol and agile that I can use to drive in the city
Right now the choice would be between this and a Panda 4x4, don't know if any other car has what I'm looking for. I'm completely clueless about cars. Help me pls.
Shameless bump
>>16529404
iv'e been looking at one too, it costs 17K here though, which alot for a suzuki and thats without heated seats.
If it really snow alot and you need 4wd, a secondhand jimny is the way to go. A 2014 model can be had for 8K or something and they are little beasts. they don't sit to comfortable at highway speeds though..
>>16529404
Lada Niva or Suzuki Jimny
Never seen this half hatch in the USA
>>16529169
Honda Concerto
Rover 400
>>16529179
You can see the Honda badge dude.
It's the Honda version of the car
how are these cars as a cheap reliable(?) daily driver? they're only like less than 9k for a 2015 or should i get something else? i plan on commuting 20 miles one way each day
>>16529140
You don't buy an American car for reliability. Try a Honda Fit.
>>16529185
This, and especially don't buy GM
>>16529140
I got the electric model so I can say the interior is cheep but solid. I kinda like it with the color panels. Can't say anything else since drivetrain and suspension is diffrent.
How do you say this word?
Koop
>>16529114
this
rhymes with poop
>>16529113
The E is accented so it's coop eyy
