So I'm trying help my dad sale his 2011 Corvette ZR1 Custom 3ZR. It only has 11k on the ODO and everything is in fairly good shape except the front lip carbon lip had a crack repaired.
How much should I ask for it? KBB and nadaguides are worthless regarding this car, all i can find are some dealerships selling them and one listed on ebay motors.
and where should I post it to have the best luck finding a serious buyer, and not just some fag off of craigslist that wants to take it for a spin.
in case you were curious why he's selling it, he got an i8 and this hasn't been getting out much since. Aside from the fake engine noises coming from the speakers, it's a pretty decent machine.

How do you merge onto a highway on a manual car? I'm concerned about this because you need to take your foot off the gas when you clutch in and shift so you slow down a little momentarily while the automatic behind you continues to speed up. It's just asking to get rear ended. Or if you successfully merge and you need to go from, say 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th, because you emerged from the merging lane in a lower gear because you needed to speed up faster. The soccer mom behind you is on her way to Costco and she's speeding and tailgating you. You try to shift gears and get booty bumped.
Obviously I'm not planning to go straight on the highway until I've had a few weeks practice, but I'm a little nervous thinking about it because I can't imagine the dynamics of driving a manual in that kind of environment.

Most people don't realize how light the cars are, and Porsche kind of underrates their cars. Seems like numbers they quote are somewhere in between whp and bhp. Some stock 996's were getting whp numbers that suggested like <15% drive train loss which seems unlikely.
Even then, na Porsche's can be a little quicker than expected from their hp and weight. Obviously they're fast from a dig because they hook, but don't have awd drivetrian loss so that helps on a roll.
The real impressive and underestimated cars are the new 718's with PDK. 118 trap with 350 hp? Fucking nuts. A 350 bhp mazdaspeed 3 traps like 108, and would get even more rekt from a dig.
