What are some times you've been caught fucking around in your shitbox /o/? What were people's reactions? Did anyone tell you to do more?

I once thought I was alone on a mountain road, so I went hard as fuck in my SW20. Like 110 MPH blasting eurobeat on a road with a speedlimit of like 45.
These highschoolers who must've just gotten their licenses were in some shitbox Impreza saw me and followed me. When I pulled over at a rest stop to turn around, they came over and started asking me about my car and driving technique.
Some of the coolest highschoolers I've met within the past 3 years.
>replace OEM LSD with a 1.5 way from Kaaz
>want to break in according to the manual's specification
>no room to do slow figure eights anywhere nearby
>go to mall parking lot at 10 AM in the morning on a weekday
>do sub 20 mph figure eights for about 20 minutes in the back of the mostly empty parking lot
>security guard rolls up on his bike and says I need to gtfo even as I autistically try to explain I need about 10 more minutes
>"i understand, but people and my supervisor will think you're doing crazy shit in your car and you need to leave"
>pack up and finish in a defunct business's lot about 15 miles away
20 minutes was probably enough. Still felt like I fucked it up driving on garbage Castrol oil on the streets for so long before swapping to the viscous Kaaz shit.
>like fourth heavy snowfall in a week
>pick up pic related in pic related pickup
>been going stir crazy alone not able to go anywhere
>slide around mall parking lot doing donuts and ramping/obliterating plowed piles
>mall security cautiously creeps up in their tracker with the light bar on (thought the mall was closed)
>"Did you think it was a good idea to do donuts in the mall parking lot?"
>"Well, I obviously did" (she's losing her shit)
>"I can't have you doing that"
>"You're the boss, Bro"
>Try to throw snow on him as I tear out but don't fishtail enough
How did all of you learn manual so easily? I've been at it for 5 months straight, almost every day after work, and still I panic and freeze up when I have to pull into an intersection or do any complicated shifting. I've been grinding the clutch so much that I have almost burned through it. Considering going automatic. Any tips?
>>17798520
It sounds like you aren't trying different things when the last thing you did didn't work.
You should probably do that.
>>17798520
I learned to drive on racing simulators, then I practiced my theory and technique in real life.
Sims can't teach you clutch control, but they can instill confidence in your shifting ability in yourself.
Do you know anyone who drives manual? Have them teach you. If you don't know anyone, consider going to a driving school or just watching a lot of youtube videos.
But really, practice going fast. That's the fastest way that I learned.

Try to low its price, then niggers will flock.
I'm surprised the Continental hasn't, its a beautiful car, but I never see them on the road
I got a 1992 Honda Accord EX. It needs new axles, tie rods, and hubs. This car is my baby, I've owned it for two years, and was the car I learned how to drive and fix cars. This is the first major suspension failure ive had, and I don't know if I can afford it or want to put that much money into it. What would you guys do?

So the winters are a nightmare, its a god damn slip and slide. This BRZ is pretty wild in the snow and ice. I need to do something but I love this car but why find a new one and have to put more money down to keep my payments equal or lower.
>Get new tires and throw sandbags in my trunk?
>just have winter tires put on or get a set of rims and tires
>if I get rims to go with the tires should I go wider?
the tires on BRZs are comically narrow

winter tires + sandbags done solved
or just dagumi it
Get winter tires. They made a huge. Difference on my miata.
Winter tyres and you're good
What are some endearing names for rust buckets/hoopties/shitboxes?

Buddy of mine had a rusty GS 300 on Fifteen 52s, called it the Turd on Tarmacs
I called mine the green menace because I'm a shitty driver and a menace to society. And then car was green
After 12 fucking weeks, my custom plates are finally ready to be picked up at the DMV (Los Angeles Hope Street lol). The earliest appointment I could make is in two weeks, however, I'll almost definitely be working that day // I don't want to wait that long.
Question: can I hire someone to go wait in line with all of the other plebs and pick up the plates for me?
Obviously, I'd send them with all of the paperwork, plates, etc.
Have you or anyone you know done something like this?
You don't have to wait for the plates, they just give them to you at the initial checkin (I also have CA black plates)
>>17798209
They don't mail them? Lol what a fucking waste of time.
>>17798223

Who gives a flying fuck its a drift car not f1
Ls engines don't like high revs
High revs needed for proper drifting
Real drifters have skill, so they don't need lazy ass copouts that the trust fund shitters fall back on (ls swaps)

Is any car more beautiful than the original BMW M1?
Also general Giorgetto Giugiaro thread
>>17798098
In my opinion, the MR2 SW20, even non turbo rev 1 varients, are striking.
They evoke a memory of a different time through how different they look. I saw one for the first time in broad daylight the other day, and it sent a fucking bolt of lightening through my heart. It is perfect.
That's something that the absolutely immaculate NSX NA1 that I saw today couldn't do.
The SW20 I saw had oxidized paint, but even then, there was just something about it.
>>17798570
But of course, the M1 is absolutely beautiful too.
Not in the same way as the SW20 though.
>>17798570
Mr2 turns you on more than an NSX? You some kind of faggots?
I need a small truck /o. What's the best bang for your buck?
Also small truck thread
Salvage title tacoma best bang for buck. Buy one for 6k, I promise youll sell it for 6k a decade from now.

Taco overpriced shit. Toyota trucks haven't been good since the 80s. They are pretty good if you are trying to build a transformer.
