I swear to all mother of fuck why do people fucking gorilla arm on oil filters?
I had to jam a screw driver though it multiple times to get it off and after trying everything else. Now the thread is fucked and I can't find what it's even called to replace it because the only thing that comes up are god damn oil filters. I can't drive it to the shop either because I can only thread the new filter on for like an inch
What the ever living fuck am I supposed to do with this?

Hey /o/

I have an 88 ranger with super shitty dim headlights. I HAVE to drive with the brights on because it's gotten that bad. With my brights I can see about 10 feet ahead of me. Certain they're not aimed incorrectly. What could be wrong? Checked the grounds and cleaned them. That didn't help me either. What should I do?

I have a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT Extended Cab. It had a 3.0L 6-cylinder and it's slower than shit. It's been a work truck since it's manufacture year, and has served me well for the past 6 months. Recently my starter died and I replaced it. No big deal. Worked fine after that, for about a week. I turned the key to start it and the starter would not stop turning the engine over until the starter burned out. I had a warranty for the starter so got a new one and installed it. I also replaced the ignition switch. Nothing. Not even a gas injector noise. The battery is good. The terminals are connected well. But, when I was installing the new starter I forgot to unplug the battery before I went under the truck, and when I put the large wire onto the starter and accidentally hit the chassis with the end of it, the starter wurred and sparked. I took it for proof it worked. Did I fuck up enough to kill something else or just the starter? Im not sure I can return something to advanced Auto parts twice. What do I do? Anything obviously wrong with my trucks wiring, or is it the starter?

Brakes have been making a grinding noise so I got them inspected and they said the caliper has locked up and that's what's making the noise when i apply pressure to the brakes.

It's the front tire on the passenger side. They said I will need to replace the caliper, pad, and rotor. Is this true?

They also said it will cost about $500 to replace.

What will happen if i ride it out? Can't I just replace the caliper or do I absolutely have to replace the pad and rotor too?
