How fucked am I, /o/?
> In center lane
> Try to merge into left lane because mistake
> Turn Signal for 5 seconds, notice only person was SUV pretty far back and the light was red.
> Suddenly SUV hits my side and I countersteer.
> Police and insurance involved, I get citation and was deemed at fault.
I'm not too worried about the citation as I am the insurance implications. How fucked am I in terms of an increase in insurance and the cost of her repairs? I'm aware of little basic shit getting blown out of proportion by corrupt estimates.
> pic related, my car
This is her SUV.

You fucked up, should have offered like 300 bucks to go separate ways and not get police or insurance involved. All of that will come off with a compound except for paint cuts on the right which could be filled with touch up pen. Coworker hit my parked car and that's what I did, everything went better than expected

Truck thread
Post your trucks and discuss other's
Im game OP.
Just bought this fine lady today off an old man i work with.
2003 Silverado LS
146k on the dash and 50k on the motor. Brand new tires, new fuel pump, and immaculate inside and out aside from scratches in the bed from not having proper liner.
Kbb and edmunds quoted it at $7k using the mileage on the dash. Theyre selling in my area for $9-10k in similar condition.
Bought this one for $6k.
Pretty proud of my purchase.
I was looking at the Ford lineup myself due to how plentiful and cheaper they are but this silverado fell into my lap and i had to take it.

Nice truck. looks great in red.
looking at a Silverado from 2000 with a regular cab.
Ive heard that they can develop a knock and the internet says its likely piston slap. some people run lucas fuel injector cleaner through their car and it goes away but that doesnt sound like a permanent fix.
Just here to remind y'all that the Ram is for people with daddy issues.
Just paid 750 britbongs for an old TR7 drophead, stashing it away for now. Need to get it up on the lift to remove some rust and weld some bits. Other than that, it's not bad for 750.
Anybody into little British cars?
pic related, the one I just bought.
The guy I bought it off claims it's been in an aircraft hanger for a while, the last owner was a pilot.
and another
It appears to at least have an engine
>there are /o/tist who think a car can "look" RWD

come at me bruh
pic related, beautiful example
but you can use logic and common sense to assume what drivetrain a car has
of course you can be wrong sometimes but overall its easy
its just stupid to make a nice big long hood then turn the engine sideways but it gets done sometimes

>>16582504
Similar to OP's example, someone else made this version....

Why do niggas buy expensive cars only to have them fuck up when you get caught up in some dumbshit. I drive a car that is cheap yet powerful.
Status symbol.
muh dick
>>16596982
my car is soo cheap they should make it illegal. I'm pretty sure the wheels cost more than the engine but not even a ferrari can keep up with my shitbox.
>Riding in someones car
>The driver shifts into D while reversing
you can do that in an auto.
>>16597025
This is the equivalent to using the transmission to brake.
>>16596947
If I do that in my Volt and apply the accelerator, the electric motor slows down the vehicle until it comes to a stop and immediately starts to move it forward, like switching the direction of a cieling fan while it's running. I can also do it the other way around. No harm is done.
pease
>>16596704
It's a DC5 Integra that is faster than the DC2 but not as much fun to drive.
>>16596711
so DC2 is the 199x version? not as fun.. but is it more reliable?
is it worth 8K?
>>16596704
How many cars do you guys own? When I first turned 16 I only had one car but I always wanted a project car so then I had two. Now I have three cars: a garage queen, a daily, and another project. I feel like I can't own less than three cars now, but will it go up to 4 one day?
Anyone else own too many cars? Has your number been going up?
>>16596336
Only 1 m8
But a lot of people have a DD and a project car or truck, many times both
One. No space for more. Detached houses with driveways and double garages don't grow on trees in Europe. Also no money for more. If I'm ever financially settled I can see myself owning a couple though.

my life goal is to be jay leno
I have recently gained 24/7 access to a shop where I have my own lathe, have access to mills, mig, tig, stick welders and lots of other manufacturing equipment. I've always want to break into making high quality automotive aftermarket parts like sway bar end links, chassis bracing, camber plates etc. etc... I want some br/o/s input. I'm not totally sure where I want to start. I own a '13 focus st, an e39 and an e24. The ST "modding scene" is pretty active still so I think it would be a good platform to start making parts for. I'm not sure though. Where would you start if you were in my position?
>>16595822
Buy a Bedford Rascal.
If you can modify it to run under 12s at the drag strip, then you'll be off to a good start.
You should be able to make lots of parts for it.
cars are gay
start a line of cheap fart cans for sport bikes. some of us just want a loud exhaust but don't want to pay the $400 for a brand name and also don't want to wait a month to buy a knock off from china for $80
>>16595839
is there really a market for cheap motorcycle slip ons? I don't have any equipment to roll sheet metal into cylindrical shapes, but maybe theres another way
So I found one of these with a hard top near me. 55k on it, black, and it's a fully loaded one. They want $14k for it.
Should I?
>>16595371
They're pretty fucking rare.
Snowflake points
>>16595371
Not 55k, I was looking at a different one. It has 110k on it.
>>16595371
Post link.
1996 snek, 17000 miles.
Would you?
>>16595231
Let me guess, 35k?
I'm poor, inexperienced, and live in the cold. I wouldn't.
But you should still go for it.
no even if I had the money I would never a Viper
Is the 03-04 terminator cobra the American supra?
>forged internals from factory
> 500+ WHP with ported SC and pully
>600-800 with Whipple and supporting fuel mods
> still retaining value, good examples are going for 30K, surpassing 07 Shelby's in value
> Last true SVT Cobra
Seriously thinking about getting one before they go up in value even more. I know the interior is shit but its just so easy to make power from these things. The coyote definitely has more potential overall. But right out the box these old fucking cobras still can make easy, cheap, and reliable power.
>>16595037
It's not the American anything, it's just the best SN95. Personally I have no issues with any 4th or 3rd Gen interior as long as it's been maintained.
id say that's a good comparison
>>16595043
I got to agree, my 2000 GT has the same interior more or less and i dont mind it. Hell, its so easy to take apart to get to things like the transmission that i dont mind the overall lack of quality. Even learned some ways to eliminate the obligatory rattles over the years too.
>>16595067
The new edge exterior style has aged well too, if you were to ask someone who didn't know shit about cars what was newer, a clean new edge or an early s197, im sure they would pick the new edge
