>A respectable 260hp (in 04+ models)
>So reliable its a meme
>Comes pre-boosted so its easy to add more (swap pulley.exe)
>Cars that featured the S/C also had nice amenities such as leather, HUD, sunroof, nice stereo, etc
>Said cars are so plentiful they are dirt cheap now, easy to find a well maintained one
>Replacement parts are also incredibly easy to come across too as a result
>HUGE aftermarket, able to find practically any sort of upgrade with many different brands to pick from at hilariously cheap prices
>Big community that knows more about the engine than GM does at this point. Which leads to alot of well designed tunes available that run better than stock
>Trans issues can be alleviated with a shift kit, tune, trans cooler
>Sleeper status
>Decent mpg
>Can be made to sound decent with a cam/and or different mufflers
Is there any v6 on the level of the 3800 /o/? Is it THE best v6 you can get for the money?
>>16611121
You are a BOLD motherfucker.
>>16611121
Yes, specifically the LP9 and LFX
lmao take your stupid firing order and fuck off
>>16611121
3800s are garbage
and as subjective as it is its one of the worst sounding engines ever
So, /o/, I know this is 4chan, but, I am in desperate need of help, as you can see here, this is my 2006 Toyota corolla matrix, with 250,000 miles, and I had a little accident with it which I will most certainly not allow my insurance provider to find out about, I was turning left on a street at ~40mph, and, since the front tires were worn practically bald and I hadn't noticed, that probably didn't help, but , the car slipped, and both wheels on the right side ran into the curb, the front wheel hitting it the hardest, the car bounced back and landed on the road, I was able to drive it home fortunately, but, I don't know how much it will be to fix it, if if anyone needs any more pictures I will provide them, the engine appears to run perfectly fine. Can anyone please give me a repair estimate?
TL;DR I was playing initial d in real life, car slipped, wheels hit the curb and I want to know if it's fixable and how much it will cost to fix.
Take non-blurry pictures, please
Is AWD a meme for street driving in snow? Automaker marketing departments have conditioned me to think that I need AWD over FWD, but it seems suspicious.
>>16609931
It's amazing in snow
Also awd is great for accelerating
>>16609931
>Automaker marketing departments have conditioned me to think that I need AWD over FWD
You're a fucking idiot
>>16609931
It's an easier sell than getting stupid burgers to actually buy and alternate sets of season-specific tires. FWD + Snow Tires is better than AWD on M+S. RWD + Snow Tires is debatable.
Call someone explain to me why this was a good idea?
It could've been a good idea if it hadn't been for the usual short sighted American thinking and shoddy workmanship.
Oh boy, who could've known that water may penetrate an underground concrete structure in the course of half a century?
what are we looking at here?
>>16609933
Not even concrete
Nigga just put it in a hole in the ground.
American or Japanese cars?
both
There's no denying that the Japs build cars that are very good at being cars. But they're so precise and conventional and soulless that I can't even BEGIN to care about them. Not a single technological innovation, not a single wacky engineering solution, everything always the tried and tested way. I commend Mazda for holding onto the Wankel for so long, but even that one wasn't their idea.
The US does not make/market a truck where I live that has the size, engines and options I want or need
Japan does
What does /o/ think about Ferrari?
>>16609154
Financial dick-waving.
cool cars I'll never able to afford
Went to shit, as did all supercar makers once the russian oligarchs and arabic oil princes started buying their stuff, pushed the demand for even more expensive stuff resulting in prohibitly expensive cars that aren't even that efficient all things considered.
Still makes good race cars though.
Been thinking about buying an MR car, but I really don't know too much about them. Redpill me on the Fiero/MR2.
>>16608650
1. Manual Supercharged AW11
2. Manual (no targa top) Turbo SW20
3. Look at another brand
Boxster and MR-S are the best affordable ones other ones are on another level of shittiness compared to them
but if youre set on those 2
MR2 hands down no contest
Fieros are garbage compared to the MR2 and cant compete
>>16608650
If you find a car you like, but it. The Toyota will be a better car than the Pontiac, but the Pontiac will probably be cheaper to buy and repair. However the Fiero is more unique with its completely removable body.
Buy the one you like, not what others like.
What's the greatest car your country ever built?

But Canada also built the New "GT".
i think the england has made better cars than that anon
I've been looking for a RWD/AWD sub-15k fun car and mustangs are plentiful, specifically the 06-10 design (SN195?), and surprisingly cheap to insure (coming out at a dollar more than my Honda that has bare minimum coverage /w full finance coverage for the mustang)
I know the aftermarket is plentiful, but I've always been kinda meh towards those mustangs, especially since aside from the SN95 it's my least favorite mustang design, as I prefer the '11-13 style.
Any owners? Give me an idea of what it's like to own one?
>>16607227
I thought no you gotta be careful with these types of cars. I feel like kids and other idiots like to rip on these cars super hard core
>>16607227
get a 5.0 or don't bother. or save longer and get a 2015+ gt.
>>16607227
I own a new edge, its an awful lot of fun and the aftermarket is endless. The v6s aren't absolutely terrible but the 5.0 speaks for itself.
They go fast and occasionally attract attention.
Gotta be careful around idiots like another poster mentioned.

Thoughts on The Grand Tour? If any of you cunts actually watch it

what music do you listen to when driving?
Anime themes
Jazz and funk and stoner rock.
I unironically listen to 90's pop hits while driving (backstreet boys, aqua, captain jack, etc). It reminds me of sitting in the backseat listening to my walkman during the summer holidays, in the south of france back in the 90's
>women drivers
>>16597597
How does that even happen?
I thought petrol pumps are attached to the ground in ways to prevent this exact situation happening.
Wait, what is that thing at the back of the car and why is the fuel hose attached to it?
>>16597597
I'm surprised the hose didn't detach like it's designed to do

Electric vs ICE thread
What's the point? Everyone knows electric is vastly superior in every way.
>inb4 muh standing mile
Are there actually mobile generators powerful enough to provide an electric car with its electricity demand on the move?
>>16607240
I like external combustion engines.
