So /o/, do I fall for the tofu meme?
I know £10k is crazy money for an old car that makes less power than a 1.0l ecoboost Fiesta, but I'm thinking the value will only go up if I look after it and don't daily it
>buying a meme car in meme rush hour
Nigger what the fuck. They will devalue once the initial d train wears off
>>16641737
Just go jack off to some jap car anime bullshit and the retarded urge to buy garbage will pass
>>16641759
I jacked off to First Stage a few minutes ago, the urge still persists
Whole cars, parts, mods..
Be a well of wisdom.

Bought an Alfa Romeo Mito once.

One time I traded a Civic I really liked for a Ford Ranger. Worst automotive decision of my life thus far
American cars thread
No yuros allowed
No weebs allowed
Talk about American cars like the Ford GT which beat all the yuropoors at Daytona and Le Mans, the CTS-V which beats every german sedan in any comparison, The NSX with more sophisticated electric motor torque vectoring than a 918, and how glorious american technology propels silicon valley cuckholds faster to 0-60 in a tesla than racecar drivers in a 3 million dollar veyron
>>16641578
1st for Bedford Rascal is the best van, better than anything made in America
>>16641580
yuropoors not allowed
you broke the rules

How long does it take to charge a completely dead battery?
I currently have it set up on a 6 amp charger, and everywhere I read says it takes 6+ hours to fully charge it up. But I don't need a full charge, just enough for the engine to start so I can go grocery shopping and stop starving. Does anyone know how long I have to leave it charging for?
>>16641569
depends on the battery, 3 hours should be sufficient on a not shit charger
>>16641569
If your battery would have 60 AH and would be completely empty it would need 10 hours for a complete charge.
>>16641569
well if you charge it enough to start the car barely once then drive 5min down the road to store. Now you have dead battery at the store. take the bus to store while batter charges or get enough juice to start car once and charge it by driving the car
>when you key Teslas in the parking lot

How do you prepare for a long drive, /o/? Especially when you're driving a bare-bones shitbox and the time/weather isn't ideal?
>>16641486
>keys
>wallet
>pictures of google maps if I don't know the route
>go
>>16641486
>water
>food
>a few jackets to put on if it gets too cold
>phone + powerbank for navigation
>(alternatively GPS if you have one)
>blankets if I need to sleep
Define "long drive" and "not ideal" time and weather
Are manual cars these days even manual?
they all seem to have automated shit now like hillstart and stuff
Or really squishy numb pedals. I can barely even feel the grab point in many cars.
Also, fuck electronic throttles. There's no resistance so I have no idea how much force I need to apply.
Only sports cars seem to be coming in manual nowadays. Oh, and the smart cars, weirdly enough.
>>16641513
that's the thing though. A lot of seriously fast sports cars come exclusively with DCTs and paddle shifters because they're faster than any manual could ever be. Meanwhile anyone who wants to drive manual to feel more engaged in the driving experience gets shafted because "you can still change gears manually, just use the paddles".
Is it true that driving these around (or any other variant of Skyline) will get you pulled over more often than if you were to drive a common car?
How about getting ticketed/warned even if you probably weren't doing anything wrong?
>>16641460
Where?
R34s are still illegal in US.
R33s most burgers probably don't even know what it is.
>>16641460
damn this was my favorite car in need for speed carbon
>>16641460
Probably. Since cops will pull you over for driving on the right side of the car
Really regretting this car
The CVT is just awful
How bad did I fuck up /o/?
pretty fucking badly
>>16641186
Your car runs, nobody is going to think you're weird for driving a civic.
You're fine.
kys already holy shit

Targeted specs:

>0-100km/h in 8 seconds
If adequate funds are received for the production, the GUNSEL will be on the roads by 2020.

>>16640970
Since there are not much news on this car, what do you have to say from the design and the specs given above?
>>16640974
>lower income people buy newer expensive cars
>6 figure salary people have normal affordable everyday cars
Really makes you think
>>16640856
thats consumerist culture for you
people care about looking which when they arent
That people who are good with money dont spend it unnecessarily?
Being enthusiastic about cars from a young age leads to low income jobs
>want to buy an MR2 AW11
>live in bum fuck nowhere, Canada
>even if I bought one, could only realistically drive it half the year since rural snow is shockingly bad
>probably going to die to oversteer in the snow one day
How does one go about buying cars from distant cities? I imagine I'd have to bring a friend for a day trip, who'd have to drive my current car back if I made the purchase. Either that, or catch a ride to the nearest town with a train station or airport if someone I know is headed that way.
Christ you need a lot of handholding.
Pathetic fuck.
