Going to a salvage/junkyard. One of the ones where you have to bring your own tools and pull the parts yourself from dead cars.

Wondering what things I can slip in my pocket that are useful instead of paying for?

I'm going to pull a new wiring loom I need, but figure I can slip some fuses, relays, and injectors in my pockets and tool bag.

Got any ideas what else is useful?

How does one use a contemporary vehicle to commit suicide? From what I hear, the emissions standards are such that it's nearly impossible with cars post 1960 or something like that.

Is there something you can do to the car to make the emissions more severe? Is there some filter or something that you can remove? Is diesel better?

Is there any way to smoothly downshift without rev matching? Is the only way literally to keep braking until the RPMs drop enough that you can do it without jerking or over revving? I'm asking this because I haven't learned to rev match yet because I'm trying to get comfortable just driving for now. Even if you rev match though, you still have to slow down a bit with the brake to bring the revs down, right?
