What do you guys think of the beetle r-line?
>it's a beetle with 210hp
If anyone knows anything about it I've been trying to figure out if the 2.0t is the same engine from a gti/gli or if it's out of the eos.
>inb4 google it
I did; turned up nothing conclusive.
Any thoughts?

>>Volkswagen has started production of a new R-Line Beetle. This new, limited edition trim level comes equipped with the new 210 hp gen3 turbo four, new front fascia and a metal dash plate finished off with 'R' badging all around. Along with increased performance, the new engine is expected to get about 8% greater fuel economy, or around 1–2 more miles per gallon. The engine will be fitted to all Volkswagens that currently use the gen2 2.0l turbo four.
what are you googling

Also just to clarify since I need shit spelled out for me, it's the same engine right?
How high is Toyota right now?
You don't like cost cutting?
Loser.
Is this what new cars look like now? I gotta stop driving old shit, hot damn
>>16661007
cost cutting doesn't permit that ugly too much display dashboard.
>people get pissed that my daily drive is an automatic
Why are manualbabies so triggered by an automatic?

Why do you care so much that you had to make a thread about it?

Truly this is the darkest timeline.

Northstar series engines make the tip of my dick moist.
>>16659767
Gotta hand it to those loos, they did NOT poo in it. although honestly i wish Ferd had sourced a V8 from JAG for the new "GT" if they didn't want to use their own. hell, could've started a joint venture between the two companies to make a special V8 for that car.

I like how the series 1 has a GM motor.

Seems a little pricey but if it's super clean with under 90k on the clock then that's not too bad.
Enjoy m8.
Make sure it's in mint condition for 8k. There is a MR2 with nearly the same mileage for 3.3k eurobucks for sale here.
>>16659488
This is usually what they go for around here. Some with fewer than 50k miles are still selling for 10k or more
Even privately the lowest you'll find is around 4-5k

At what age did you realise worrying about fuel economy is retarded?
In the very, very best case scenario, a shitbox will get double the MPG of a 'fast' car. If you do, for example, 10,000 miles in a year, the difference in the price you pay for fuel will still only be a little more than a set of tyres. If you don't wipe your butthole with that amount of money you are probably a poorfag and should kill yourself.
>>16659057
I don't think about fuel economy in terms of cost nearly as much as I do the range of the car.
>>16659057
>At what age did you realise worrying about fuel economy is retarded?
when i started enjoying driving again after getting a manual and WOTing it through every gear for fun.
>>16659057
I spend a minimum $100 a week in fuel.
And that is driving economic. It would be $150 if I do 70-75 average.
Looking to buy a car. Should I buy an Impreza or a Jetta?

How do police departments decide who gets to drive their dedicated interceptors?
Do they hold best-driver competitions?

those things are useless for police work, they're just for D.A.R.E. photo ops, community outreach, etc.
Think about it: have you ever seen one of these in a car chase video?
Has anyone worked as a delivery driver with their own car?
There's quite a lot of jobs near me at pizza places asking for delivery drivers with their own cars, and I can't really imagine that it'd be that good.
>>16656863
There's a guy named shingu on here that delivers pizza. He averages 16$ an hour with his tips and bi weekly wage
I averaged 14-17$ an hour slinging pizza for dominoes. It was a second job I had while I worked full time at Subaru
If it's in the right place and it's a busy place, you can pull $20 an hour in tips doing pizza deliveries. Probably the most high-pay low-effort job that requires zero credentials. I learned a lot from shit on my car breaking all the time, so it was good.
>>16656910
Idk about low effort. I had to do a lot of sidework, making pizza, cleaning ovens, cleaning hobo shit from the bathroom (beachside store)
But you can make cash
>pulled a tar paver
>wins races constantly
>revived the economy of a small town out in the middle of butt-fuck nowhere
>drifts in a stock car race like a pro
>wins races on dirt tracks
>has the heart to help his greatest opponent in his time of need

So the Oroville lake emergency spillway here in California is about to blow, releasing a 30 foot wall of water that will flow for 4 days into a highly populated area (350,000). People have been told to literally run from the area in whatever they have, mandatory evacuations are under effect.
I live an hour south and I'm not worried, but if you lived in an area that was dotted with bridges as your only easy way of escape and you are stuck in a massive traffic jam, what vehicle do you choose?
I'm thinking motorcycle.
>>16657336
a boat
>>16657336
Lol I heard about this
I live about 60 miles from here.
Am also thinking motorcycle
if u have full coverage and wanting to get rid of your car, now is the chance. dip it in there and GG.
Hello guys I need your assistance regarding "tapping out a bolt"
I broke off a bolt in a place so I bought a drill bit to screw through it and basically what happened now is I screwed through it and I have a smaller hole inside the shell of the stripped bolt. So how exactly does this resolve my problem? I don't understand the point of "tapping out a screw"... I just have a new hole which isn't the right size that I need. Wtf do I do to get this bolt out?
banp
Now you need an EZ out. That hole you drilled is too small for an EZ out big enough to get the bolt out.
do you understand what a tap is? because thats not tapping a bolt
also get some fucking lubricant before you start drilling into metal with anything
fuck sakes
For me, it's the McNissan 370z.
>>16660173
I'm buying one soon fampai

Has anybody even bought a 370 in the last 5 years?
