You are given your dream car but the catch is that it's automatic.
Do you still want it?

Only a child would let this fact get in the way of enjoying something.
>Aston Martin V12 Vanquish
I'll live, I think.
2007: american cars can't turn, all automatics.
2017: yuro cars can't turn, all automatics
amazing what can happen in a century

American cars are still fucking bricks compared to Euro sports cars.

Which late 90s - early 00s V8 car will give me lots of fun but also decent MPG?
>>16735861
miata
C5 Corvette
>>16735865
Miatas are for cumslurpers
>Wanting a v8
>Wanting MPG's
Pick one dude. If you get a V8, the last thing you should consider is fuel efficiency
How difficult/expensive would it be to get a classic 60's- 70's vehicle working and reliable? Is replacing the engine with a modern one feasible/worth it?
>How difficult
Not difficult at all
>expensive
Under $3k for a I6 4 door American car, more if you want something that's actually desirable
>working and reliable?
They are extremely simple and reliable
> Is replacing the engine with a modern one feasible/worth it?
No, it will make it less reliable and cost way more for little gain vs. building the engine that's already in the car
>>16735127
Very difficult and expensive. Finding one working is almost like trying to find a needle in a haystack. (if you looking for pic related).
My truck is pretty dang reliable. It costs me hardly anything. Don't replace the motor with a modern one, odds are you can slam a 302 or 350 in anything from that era if you need a replacement engine but unless it's a turd i6 like mine the engine in it will be fine
>>16735147
Objectively wrong.
Hi /o/ whats the cheapest (in terms of price and fuel efficency) thing to drive that isn't a complete embarrassment. I'm about to buy my first vehicle and know fuck-all about cars; I also live in the UK if that helps.
>>16734550

Whats wrong getting a hatch Honda? Fun, practical, cheap gas and maintenance wise.

i don't like the way it looks
I'm moving to Wisconsin for work and want to pick up a winter beater that's
>less than 10 years old
>relatively cheap
>reliable
>4x4
>manual
I can get a 2011 Ford Ranger for $10-15k with less than 50k miles. Should I? My main concern is
>ford
>reliable
>$10-$15k
>winter beater
The fuck?

my sister almost got brain damage when she rolled her old 4runner after some faggot in a Charger T-boned her at an intersection and drove away. Since then I kind of refuse to daily drive in a car older than 10 years, you know, safety regulations n sheit. Plus I got money
Give me a tl;dr rundown of the Elio '84mpg'.
I already dislike the SUV/truck sized blind spots on the 10 and 2 o clock, the roll bars (if they are) are fricken huge there. I bet it sucks on ice too.
It exists now? :o

Thanks for answers to my light query. As a reward a pretty road and a nice view it leads to.
By the by, wifey and I are likely moving back to JP near the end of the year. The Goat will have to find new roads with new doggos and wifeys. Keep your peepers out August/September.
I want to make myself an 80s mixtape for driving at night. What can /o/ recommend me?

Is against AWD. and I partially discredit everyone against CVTs. And I am ashamed of all the crossover bashing, however I guess the crosstek is different from the rest. Since it's literally a lifted Impreza.
There is shilling and bashing that is completely wrong on here. I am disappointed in you faggots.
Test drove a base Impreza and Crosstek XV thing. Fucking loved them. Yeah, I see the downsides of a CVT, but the plus side is the globs on torque the weak ass engine can generate, and huck you around at low speeds that a Civic needs to get up around 4.5-5k RPM to achieve the same thrust.
Not gonna go into AWD and the thrill of accelerating through turns.
I know not everyone bashes AWD here, but it's wrongfully done by 16 year olds and poorfags, my only assumption.
CVT... Well I just don't know how they hold up, so IDK what I'm gonna buy.
Just letting you know I was deceived by many /o/ autists that don't know what the fuck they're talking about.
CVTs have a history of being unreliable and generally feel like shit to drive, crazy variable gearing or not.
Also the Crosstrek is the new Forester. It's a damn shame what happened to Subaru.
What are you rambling about?
>>16736192
get the manual option you moron, it's cheaper too
Looking at picking up a 2016 Honda Rebel and making it a bobber, anyone have any experience with rebels? Any problems with them?
>>16735732
>slower than a CM200
>slower than an XL185
Go ahead. Buy a 250 thats slower than most 150s
They're slow as fuck. Just get a 2017 or 2018, there a factory bobber. Or you could get a CCW heist.
>>16735732
Don't buy a new one, there are plenty of used escape for you to chop up.
Not to mention they're not worth the price of admission, given the fact they're as slow as a 125,but with none of the perks.
If you could get an M3 E30 coupe today, new for 23k usd, with parts cheap as fuck, with warranty, cheap insurance, as if buying a new car today, with today's safety features (non intrusive ones) and technology, would you?
>>16735675
It would also be way less gas-hungry, and just as comfortable as modern cars, and with an even greater aftermarket.
I would pay 50k.
What car is this?
