I think turbo carb should go above na carb.
You've got to be a special type of stupid to WANT to put boost through a carburetor
I'm looking into buying this 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis LS - Dark Red on Red - 80k miles - One owner - No special package just the basic 190hp engine.
My question is: - I own a 1993 BMW 525i M50 which also has 190hp and I think its kind of slow so what is the ideal hp output for a 4.6? 225?250? Its supposed to be a daily driver so I'm not looking into race car mods or anything like that. Maybe a dual exhaust will be enough?
*your
Factory duals will take you from 190 to 210 (again factory rated)
91-95 4.6's have shitty valve stem seals and all burn oil. Expect a lovely puff every time you accelerate from a stop.
Honestly, it's not worth modding the early 4.6's, the all aluminum intakes don't have the cracking problems that plague the early plastic ones with the plastic crossover, but they don't make much in the power department. Wouldn't be surprised if it has clogged EGR passages, another common trait of the 91-95's.
If your looking for a reliable DD, it's not a bad choice, but it will never be not slow. If you live in the salt belt, check the frame out good, especially the passenger side bulkhead, they all rot out bad there.
I've owned two bastard block 92's, and both have made great, if not boring DD's.

I've test driven the car and there was no smoke. The only thing I noticed was a click coming from the engine bay when the car was cold, maybe it was the air suspension compressor?
The car belonged to an old gentleman who really kept it pristine. The car spent the majority of its life in a garage in a very dry area. I live by the ocean. By DD I mean doing like 30-40 miles/week.
The thing is I really like these old school cars.Body-on-frame, bench seat, column shifter V8 cars and this is the only one close enough to me that I can afford.

That manual transmissions are in anyway, shape, or form better than an automatic. You can mathematically prove it.
Everytime I see someone say "manuals are better" I feel like they are the same faggots that really believe ppl are born gay. Like, no bitch, sit down.
You can have a preference. But you chose to spit roast a cock.
>>16761072
Would you get upset if instead they said "I prefer manual transmissions over automatics"
>>16761072
Auto-fag here. Manuals have benefits, just as autos do. Saying one platform is better than the other makes you look autistic.
Also, I think nature and nurture can both make you crave cock.
My car was stolen this morning from my driveway, in Toronto. Pic related
Anyone know any good cars around the same price range that are harder to steal? Is this model especially vulnerable to theft?
They're searching for it now but I imagine it's long gone, I don't know much fencing vehicles.
also fuck you if you're on here you fucking thief

much about fencing**
>tfw no one will steal my car

Park your car in the fucking garage you stupid faggot. It's the fucking Tdot, Anything in the open is going to get stolen. Install an immobilizer switch or something.
Hey guiz.
Just got an 04 STi.
Don't like the hole in the front grill. What should I fill it it? Photos of good stuff only, please.

How does suspension stiffness relates to weight distribution?
I heard once that the harder the suspension is the harder and quicker you can be on the gas and brake because the weight distribution goes smoothly in relation to the tires. Is that true tho? I cannot seem to find any info googling that shit and my brain tells me that the harder the suspension the more weight distribution the shocks would absorb so that the tires get less stress on them depending on braking/accelerating.

>>16759857
Suspension and its effects on handling are something /o/ is not capable of explaining.
That being said there's a different sweet spot between stiffness and softness for all cars, and their different applications.
Too soft and it will upset the car in a turn, and too stiff it will upset the car when faced an uneven road or track.
>>16759904
AFAIK the basics are that a suspension too soft will affect tire wear on the outside tires, and corner exit speed, but will not have the car fuck up and lose control (all the while not having the inside tires actually lift off), while a suspension to stiff will make the car wheels skate the ground and lose total control, but at the same time having less transfer force between left and right, increasing the chances of corner exit speed.
I guess that's what bunta did when he stiffened the anti roll bar of the 86 in i think was the R32 fight.
> cool car anon! i'd get the same but my wife would kill me if I got a stick shift. you know what they say, happy wife happy life!
MARY
>>16759793
this is sad because i recently saw a post like this somewhere.
dude bought an NC miata but he could only get it in automatic because his wife wanted to drive it but didnt want to learn manual.
shouldnt want a stick shift anyway u fucking boomer fagtron
automatic is faster now
Thr fuck is up with bike youtubers acting likes cunts while doing dangerous or illegal shit while the complain about drivers making common mistakes?
Its no wonder they hate the cops since they usually weave in and out of traffic at over 100mph?
Why the fuck do they always talk to themselves so much and why do they all have such nasally voices?
Plus why do they always have clickbait titles like "OMG HOT GIRLS WANT TO RIDE MY BIKE *Heart eyes emoji*
Because they are cunts.
>>16759754
Pretty much.
Although the voice thing could just be because of the acoustics of a helmet over your face.
Fucking hate those squids though.

Why do cars have hydraulic actuated clutches? Why not just a traditional cable like motorcycles?
because pansies can't push a manual clutch in with their witttle wegs.
>>16759619
Old clutch linkages in cars were rods, not cables.

If Transverse FFs have torque steer, is there a similar phenomenon for transverse MR/RR cars?
>>16758997
Do they have rear wheel steering?
Like a fork lift?
Wtf are you smoking?
>>16758997
SNAP OVERSTEER
>>16759001
If the rear driveshafts are not equal in length, power transmission from the diff to the wheels is inherently imbalanced. Would this not produce some sort of uneven pushing effect?
Long story short I was doing my first oil change, realised I've used brake fluid instead on engine oil. Is it still fine to drive a short distance to the store to buy some? It's only like 3 miles tops.
No lol
>>16758935
>It's only like 3 miles tops
Yeah, a quick drive won't do any harm. Probably might be a good idea to change the oil in the store car park though if you can.
