I am 6'2 220 pounds and I am a beginner at the bike riding world (Owned a dirtbike(KX250) for about 3 months and a streetbike (250 ninja) for 2 months) and I am debating getting a CRF250L although I am not quite sold.
Pros:
>Very reliable
>Cheap both new and used
>Lots of aftermarket
Cons
>Low seat height
>weak as fuck
>low top speed
I am thinking about getting one to test the waters and see if I will actually get into the riding scene, or if its just an impulse. This is one of the reasons why I like the low price tag, not to mention on my Ninja 250 I never felt like I had so little power that I could not comfortable cruise.

So I'm driving to Florida from Michigan in two weeks. Is there anything I can do to take advantage of the 17 hours of runtime and get the car running better? I've got new plugs and I'm doing an oil change beforehand, and I plan on running Lucas fuel cleaner for the entire trip. I'll also be towing a trailer, if that means anything.

Coolant check for looks ect
Engine leaks
Ac if you need it
Check all belts
Bring spare serpentine belts
Check tire pressure
Fill up spare tire to spec with air
Check all lights
And have fun
Id run 89 octane if you normally run regular because youre adding in addatives and its better for the engine
