I just saw this 01 Chevrolet prizm for $1500
It has about 118k miles on it and it's smog tested already.
I don't know anything about this car, can anyone give insight on of it's a good deal or not? I'm not much of a car buying expert, but I just moved to town, need a car, and the price is really great....possibly too great.
>>17818190
its a redabged corolla
so as long as all you want is a boring soul less shitbox with tons of reliability then its the best car
>>17818204
I care nothing about aesthetics or anything, reliability is literally the only thing I care about with it. At all.
What is the most simple RWD car ever made?
are modern RWD systems more complex than older ones? i dont know much about drive trains,
But can you make a car sized Go cart and have it handle as good as a actual car? i know go carts have simplistic layout.
Can you make a RWD car as simple as a FWD my question
If you want a kart buy a kart. They handle better than any car on the road.
>>17818138
probably the system on a model T
RWD is a simpler layout than FWD to manufacture and engineer.
Modern manual RWD can be more complex mainly because of the differential.
Go Karts don't have differentials, that's why they are so simple.
Those who have engine swapped how difficult is it to make AC/Power Steering work?
>>17818096
Custom hoses, no big deal.
A pump is a pump.
Are modern carburetors built to withstand E10?
I've heard ethanol tears up carburetors for years
>>17817996
>modern carburetors
They exist?
What part would it tear up, the gaskets? Accelerator pump diaphragm? There's really not much to be "torn up." You would need larger jets to run the fuel properly though.
>>17818056
In small engine applications, yes.
And they're not made to withstand repeated ethanol exposure, which is why you're best to mix 91/94 for your 2 strokes.
>>17818094
Shut up faggot no one likes you
Been debating on what to buy have about 25k to spend, would prefer something new wouldn't mind something used either..pic related how is this box?
Just traded my 2012 Soul in for a Civic Si. Put about 80k miles on it with minimal issues. They're pretty solid, I just wanted something sportier.
>>17817980
>>17818104
lol mfw actual numale cucks exist on this board
>>17817980
This feels like bait, its hard to believe there are people this stupid. But ill bite, its absolute shit. 25k is a giant budget you can buy almost anything used. Get a used forrester, or outback. Idk what youre looking for desu because there are absolutely no redeeming qualities to OP pic.
Planning on picking this up next week. Did I do good?
Should've gotten the flex
>>17817919
Actually looking to maybe get one as a daily next year, but not the Sport model..
I like them for a daily choice
>>17817919
Brother bought one. Super nice, but I don't like the price
I bought my 3 series for about the same price. Would not buy a ford at that price, but will admit I really like the active cruise control and other amenities I don't have (cooled seats was really cool)
I work at a dealership and a MINT 1997 E36 335is Coupe comes in for $1500 wholesale deal for employees, around they're worth like 3500 - 4000 in that condition with that mileage. Problem is, I'm broke and have $1000 dollars in the bank. Should I take out a loan / cash advance and flip this shit?
Pic related: SO CLEAN
>>17817838
looks nice, how many miles and records?
>>17817838
>e36
>335
>pic says 328
How does one make such a mistake
328is' aren't worth jack shit. Theres a reason its only being sold for $1500. Dumbass
>>17817904
because he's an idiot.
Let me start by saying I absolutely did read the sticky and I've taken that into consideration, however I know there's more options.
Requirements:
>no V8s (sorry, i need fuel efficiency, I already have a v8)
>must have a decent aftermarket
>manual
>not slow as shit stock
>no more than $2k
RWD is preferred, but not required.
I want something fast that I can build and make faster. Suggestions?
Okay, also i forgot, no bikes. I love motorcycles but that's just not what I need at the moment.
How cheaply can one (safely) turbo a civic/integra/accord, and what kind of power gains could be expected from it? I know nothing of imports, really.
Is 200k high mileage for an early 90's integra? What are other good choices?
Come on, /o/, don't condemn me to be a honda guy. I know there's other options available im missing.
V8s are even allowed now as long as they're not American.
Let me further clarify my predicament.
I'm the formerly proud owner of a '93 Dodge Dakota LE 4x4 with a 5.2L. The thing took a shit on me. I think it might be a plugged up converter, because I've neglected it for awhile and it was running pretty rich. Plus I drove it around for a month or two at least with a fucked up diff. It's a minimum of 6k miles overdue for an oil change. There's a lot more wrong with it, moral of the story is ive beat the fucker to the ground and now I need a reliable daily while I unfuck it.
Anyways, my sister and her husband agreed to buy me a car that isn't too expensive, so long as I pay them back. She doesn't understand the joy of a V8, so I can't get some big American boat that'll look like it gets 10 mpg tops.
So I need a car that I can build and make quick, and fun to drive.
Help me out, /o/
ITT no rice tuners
There are ridiculous taxation to cars where i live in, a shitbox is around $14,000 and getting a used car for $5,000 is a scam cuz they are fucked up and wont even start up.
Im going to attend med school around april next year, my brother is already in medschool (he takes the bus, fuck that) and my dad now has to pay for 2 uni careers.
That means no car, So what do you guys recommend, should I save and buy a 2k new motorbike or beg for a shitbox car? I cant study and work at the same time, my brother has tried this shit and he almost went batshit insane and wanted to quit either work or school (obvi work).
Get a bike.
>>17817620
I live in an urban area, getting to the uni is through roads only, no bikes allowed, that or getting wrecked by a truck. Also a normal day here is about 85F so i would arrive sweating and shit. Plus my bike would get stolen.
And to top it all the uni is 30 minutes away in a car.
Hey guys hoping to get a bit of insight on this problem I have.
I have a 92 s10 2.5l and I am doing a bit of diagnostics on my Service engine soon light not popping up with the ignition in the run position. When probing all of the ECM ground circuits I run into the issue of D9 and D10 not having ground.
The diagram shows them connected with 151 blk wire but does not tell me where else it leads. Just curious to know if anyone else has some experience with this.
Any help is much appreciated. I know I'm probably just gonna have to probe it all out but still. I'm new to reading electrical diagrams so I'm hoping for the best.
What are some great and reliable compact SUVs, preferably manual.
Budget is $15k

Kys
"Woman's car" edition.
Is this supposed to be a warning or a selling point?
'No warning lights on dash'
Oh, okay then, you had the guy at vatozone clear them for you then?
Also a 142k mile Honda with 'no rust' in New England? Bullshit.
>>17817556
wouldnt a bigger red flag be the fact that she had major work done recently, and now she's selling it?
>>17817556
Autozone manager here. Despite what all the minorities want to believe we can't clear codes. Regardless, if you don't check that shit before you buy it you're a tard.
Ever wonder what the letters that Honda puts after the names of their cars mean?
S - Sunroof (no really no shit, it's Sunroof, not Sport!)
i - fuel injection
DX - DeluXe equipped
LX - LuXury equipped
EX - EXtended equipped
SE - Special Edition
L - Leather
R - Racing
So, back in the day, the Accord LX-i was LuXury equipped with fuel Injection
The Prelude Si meant Sunroof and fuel Injection
The Prelude S had a Sunroof, but no injection
The Civic EX-L means EXtended equipped with Leather
The Civic Si-R means Sunroof, fuel Injection, Racing

holy shit thats uncanny
Owner of 1993 Eclipse and 2015 Mirage. Post your Mitsubishi's. Is the company going to pull out of the American market? Is the Lancer trash? Will they ever re-introduce minitrucks?
>>17817181
Mitsu is dead bro
>>17817194
What's the extent? are they going to shut down their car division entirely?
>>17817205
No. Churn out for econoboxes and crossovers. Sales in the us have increased and they are market leaders in south east asia. Nissan-renault now owns a controlling share so they will be around in some form for a while.
