Too much money on repairs, insurance, and maintenance when I can just rotate out my parents cars but they do not like that. I'm not 16 either.
>>16959457
I want an early 2000's yacht so bad but reliability and repairs will kill my modest salary
>>16959620
My mom's seems to run fine. I already put over 200 miles on it since last week and no problems. 150k miles too, I really just like it because it's American, 17 years old, and still on the road for right now.
I'd recommend a Buick Park Avenue Ultra. 240hp for $6,000 and bulletproof engine
>>16959656
Can confirm. I have a 99 riviera, 00 regal gse, and a 95 lesabre. Great vehicles every one
Is 16 inch too small?
Or are the OEM 17 inch better?
They're both too small on such a bulbous car.

I don't see anything attractive about them. What do you see anon?

Allow me to explain this god machine to you.
Buick has had a penchant in recent years for using GM's beloved 2.0L Ecotec Turbo in the Regal and Verano.
Said 2.0L turbo has always kept a 6 speed manual on the options list.
This new TourX Regal wagon looks like it'll get AWD.
>not wanting a tune-able, AWD, 2.0L turbo, 6MT wagon that rides like a Buick

I don't really care. It's annoying that Mercedes-Benz USA had to run vehicle importation for the United States, but there isn't really much I want from overseas. I'd import old Mazads (like the Puerto Rican I am) in a heart beat. Luckily, most are already legal for importation, especially.under the substantially similar clause.

>I don't really care. It's annoying that Mercedes-Benz USA had to run vehicle importation for the United States
this. The only people who freak out over this are teenagers who are just getting into cars thanks to Forza Horizon/TJ Hunt videos.
R34 GT-R is a great car but I've seen way better carrs in my own state.
ITT cars that you want, but are fictional at least for now. Pic related.
But the M3 GTR isn't a fictional car.
>>16957669
Are e46 fictionals?

Correct, but one with that wrap is.

Thoughts on the ISF? Looking to get one with around 90k miles for around $20k. Ever owned one? If so do you like it? What else would you get in that price range
>inb4 M3 is better
I'm planning on owning this for a while and don't want to go broke from service costs
Let me hear your opinions
>>16957528
>I'm planning on owning this for a while and don't want to go broke from service costs
Then you probably shouldn't buy an expensive car with 90k miles. use your brain asshole.
>>16957528
If it were my dollar I'd try to find one with less miles. 90k is high for the modern-appliance generation, let alone the high performance model
>>16957528
For 20k? I think there's something wrong with it
hey, i'm from /m/ and during our combination into /mo/ i saw this happy car everywhere, what is it and why is it a meme
We should create a bog tier rundown for threads like this.
It's pretty much liked around here for being so blatantly happy looking, hilariously simple but clever in its room concept and pretty much the cheapest car to buy, run and maintain in yurop. They also tend to be reliable because there's literally not much there that can break
>>16957197
not to mention the shit eating grin
Will your favorite brand survive the autonomous electric era?
>no
>>16957073
The only reason i can see Buggati, Ferrari, Lamborghini etc not surviving such an era is if human driven cars were outright banned making the market for even the novelty of them outright illegal otherwise these brands should survive just so rich people can say: "i own this and the rest of the world doesn't"
I always hear people talking about "the happening" when it comes to ICE being out right banned/illegal. Everytime, I just roll my eyes.
Heavily taxed, maybe. Price of gasoline making them impractical, sure. No longer legal to produce, I can see that. But the government banning the use of personal property, with 100 years of history and production? Not happening. Even if they make some crazy law, they can't really expect people to turn in their vehicles.
Even vehicles that blatantly contradicts EPA laws are driven on the road legally. They just have to either be; originally sold without these guidelines in place, or just have existed for over 25 years (murica classic car laws).
>>16957186
>banned
>running costs too high for any normal person to have a car
result is almost the same
I am looking for a "3/4 ton" truck to import into my shithole of a country.
I have sort of come to the conclusion that an early 2000's 7.3 f250's 4x4 would be around my mark but with a budget of $5000 US (purchase budget) I am not sure how possible this would be but I have got some feelers out.
What I am looking for is a nice juicy redpill from you guys. Diesel here is the greatest advantage seeing as it is cheaper than gasoline per unit before even considering the efficiency differences. BUT I am not adverse to gassers because saving $1000 US would mean fuel for over a year in my parts.
Also maintenance is key as I don't have a shop with enough equipment to lift the body off the chassis to do any medium engine work.
Are there any superior alternatives when it comes down to purchase price, ease of maintenance and cheap parts?
My wrenching skills are OK (done several head rebuilds) but my interest in wrenching has faltered with my age.
The criteria is literally:
-4x4
-3000lbs payload
-4 door
-Not a cabover
-New and maintained enough that I don't have to replace every bushing, all the brake lines and start cutting out rust two weeks after I get it
-no exotic designs and minimal 1st world technology (TTB, ad Blu, remove cab to service, immobilizer, microchip key fob etc.)
>>16957015
The early 2000s Super Dutys are great with the 7.3, but any you find in your budget are going to be run down and need quite a lot of expensive work before long.
Best overall platform within that budget would probably be 90s GM. Stupid simple, easy to work on, and reliable. If you live in a shithole of a country, it might be difficult to find or expensive to import the stuff to "bulletproof" the diesels available in those years, so I'd probably look for the more common 5.7l gasser anyway.
You aren't going to find any 7.3 for $5k, period. So you might as well just give up on that idea. Those piles of shit are selling for $10k-$15k with 250k miles because some dieseltards are convinced that "they are just barely broken in by 250k miles"
meanwhile the rest of the car is falling to pieces
