What's so bad about this car besides being a Hyundai? I need a new daily driver for city traffic (good bit of highway driving in there getting into the city).
>Lane keep assist
>Smart cruise control with stop/start
>Automatic breaking
>Vented seats
>Turbo option
>Manual and 7 speed dual clutch option
>Crazy good warranty
>Yuropoor styling
>Roomy hot hatch
>Starts at 20k
It's shitty FWD but I'm looking for a daily driver here and the goodies like smart cruise control and lane keep assist make driving so much less of a pain.
What other car can give me those options at that price point?
>>17004042
Hyundai is testing a new hot hatch currently so the Elantra GT is outdated. The Elantra Sport is pretty sexy tho.
>>17004042
>besides being a Hyundai? I
That really is the big problem. Hyundai doesn't have the best reputation for quality or reliability. They're better than Nissan but that's not saying much. Dodge shit is better than Nissan.
Instead of the Hyundai Elantra GT, look instead at the Kia Forte5. It's the same thing underneath, except, for some weird reason, Kia cars made with the same parts are more reliable and better built than the Hyundai equivalents.
I think this all goes back to how they started. Hyundai started out copying Mitsubishi, who were never known for reliability. Kia started out copying Mazda who were known for reliability, excluding rotary engines, and driving fun. Those mindsets continue today. The Kia versions are just better built.
Otherwise, I'd look at the Chevrolet Cruze hatchback. Definitely look at that as well. Worth checking out. Instead of a turbo option, they're turbo only. No need to pay extra money for a turbo.
>>17004042
Probably the car that Hyundai stole that design from
The Mazda3
Based Republicans against all forms of taxation; soon we'll only need emissions. Some things are still written about having a safety in the car but I believe it's commercial vehicles, I need to find some explanations of all this. Not sure if it's just not needed for registration or what, because if we're just totally free I'm way more comfortable with retinting my windows and building out HIDs.
*begin local news comment section shitslinging*
So basically it doesn't matter if your shitbox is literally about to fall apart, as long as it has functional emissions equipment it's all good?
That's like the complete opposite of sensible.

What would be a good first car for a 6'3 250lb man? Looking for a rwd or awd coupe or sedan.
>>17003792
Something not gay, where do you live?
Honda Accord Coupe V6
Lots of power, handles well, looks sharp, pretty comfy, reliable as hell, and plenty of space for a driver your size.
But it's FWD, so if that's a deal breaker then find a Subaru or maybe a Volvo

What country are you in that puts your name on the license plate and why'd you draw squiggles on it with a sharpie?
>>17003752
You need to find the extended VW bug, m8. The badging looks slightly different.
So in posted twice in the stupid question thread, but got no real reply.
I have a 2.0 direct injection turbo engine. Dealer said I should have the. Intake valves cleaned once a year. Car has 25,000 miles. They want $180.
Is that something I should pay them, or someone else to do, or can I SeaFoam it?
Or just invest in a meth injection kit?
they're probably just going to take a water bottle and spray it into the intake while revving the motor.. you should be able to do that for less than 180$
>>17003809
Shouldn't water never enter the intake tract?
>>17003836
Small amounts will vaporize.

What are y/o/ur tips to properly mantain a car?
Pic kinda related, I want to do at least 200kms more
Follow service intervals, maybe rebuilt engine at 200.000 kms / 160.000 miles, replace transmission fluid too and don't drive like a jackass
Be one with your car.
>>17003579
>don't drive like a jackass
You mean slow acceleration? Low speed and such?
I'm in Sweden and I want a V8 car that's reliable and cheap, what do I buy?
Pic unrelated
a koenigsegg
>buying a nice car
>in sweden
haha enjoy finding it stolen or smashed up in like a month
>>17003429
It doesn't have to be a nice car, as long as it has a V8 and works
Can we please ignore the sandnigger problem for 2 seconds
What does water do in a car engine?
>>17003388
Coolant usually. Also air conditioning
>>17003388
That depends entirely on where you put it.
A mixture of gasoline, water and air is what makes you're cylinders go bang, moving the crankshaft that spins the flywheel making your airconditioning work.
