On a scale of 1 to France how fucked am I?
W123 300D. I was young and naive when I bought it. Literally no other issues with the car, except that the cruise control stopped working.
Noticed it when the battery collapsed through what was left of the tray. I also noticed I was a bit out of alignment.
So far I've been told I need to cut a piece out of a donor car to weld in its place or just give up.
I really don't want to throw in the towel with this one. The car means a lot to me and everything else on it it is in mint condition.

I found a 2001 2.5RS for 1000 but the timing belt broke and fucked the engine so it needs to be replaced other than that she looks good. I found a twin turbo EJ206 for 1500. Will the engine fit? And is it worth it?

it'll fit but good luck passing emissions. The twin turbo wasn't sold in a US car, so making it meet emissions will be a pain in the ass if it's possible at all.
Honestly, I'd look at an EJ205 instead since it's still a 2.0L turbo and was used in the US market WRX. It should bolt right in too.
What would be the best way to go about repairing/hiding this? I'm not too concerned about the bottom scratches just where the bumper has somewhat come apart is very noticeably white
I'd like to actually repair it but I doubt I'll be able to do it efficiently without buying a whole new bumper so I'd just like to hide it with paint for now

I'd love one myself in the UK, even a couple have managed to surface up near me down to Polish laborers bringing them over when they move here.

What it do /o/, I'm soon to be learning how to drive and getting my licence. I've already chosen what I want as my first car: the AE86. But,I dont have the money and most of them I find that would be in my budget for a part time min wage summer job need some/a lot of work. My uncle is a mechanic, so the restoration isn't much of a problem, its money. Because of this, it is likely I'll get a hand-me-down from my parents and both are pieces of shit. I'm still open to suggestions, so tell me what you would recommend. It must be manual and RWD. My options are:
Mom's car: 2010 GMC Acadia
Pros:
>SUV, so room for nights out if you know what I mean
Cons:
>Automatic
>FWD
>Air conditioner rarely works. Every spring we have to take into the shop to get it fixed. When the A/C is on, it makes this weird loud clicking noise sometimes
>When applying the breaks and slowing down from high speeds, the whole car shakes and vibrates
>Every winter one of the tires, usually one of the front ones, are leaking air due to the cold for some reason

Dad's car: 2006 Honda Accord
Pros:
