What an ugly fucking refresh, just as bad as the GT86 facelift. Here's hoping the next generation doesn't look like a Jaguar with downs syndrome and weighs less than 3700lbs.

Damn it looks like the 2006 Mustang Guigaro concept finally made it to production.

The 2017 mustang is by far the best looking mustang ever created. This is from a fox body notch back "purist."

Ford fucked up the press photos hard. Same with prefacelift. Real car looks much better.

Gotta let out a rant br/o/s
>daily drive a 1989 Corvette
>issue with ignition system, loose wire is causing engine to die whenever I hit a bump at speed
>don't have time to fix it this week, college finals
>family decides that since i haven't had time to look over my car and fix it that now they can all unload the usual bs about old cars on me
>mom "if your car isnt working soon you wont be able to get to your summer job" (out of state)
>uncle "you need a reliable car, something newer than 20XX"
>etc.
I recently dropped it off at the local mechanic whos a family friend. He's got a lift and i help him sometimes and vice versa, good wrenching buddy with a ton of experience. hoping to fix it tomorrow. sufficed to say, if I hear one more generic comment on how my all year daily driver that's gotten me to new hampshire, massachusetts and the tip of long island (located in NY) multiple times isn't reliable, im gonna flip.

Before this thread turns to shit I'm gonna wish you luck. Your friend have alldata?
Fuck 'em man, people think spending $20,000 to avoid a $5-600 repair bill is saving money.

How much do you spend annually on cars?
Fucking idiot chicken shit.
Are you able to make threads without a dumb question?
Stick your Lancer up your ass too
If the bus counts, about 1,456 a year
Having an automatic transmission, what should you do on a red light?
Keep it in gear or put in on Neutral?
In the short term, it really doesn't matter however you're wearing the gears down more by shifting more than you're supposed to.
There's no harm sitting in drive while stopped at a light.
I always put it in park and turn the car off
Saves gas that way because it's not running
Keep it in gear and hold the brake in. Putting it in neutral means there's nothing stopping you from flying into the intersection should someone rear-end you.
anons post their cars, other anons rate them

Alright I'm reposting this from the old thread
>Call dealer about 2015 cb500f
>Sticker price is $4599 + tax/tag/title
>ask what the Out the Door price would be
>$5400
that sounds like a crock of shit and I can't afford it.
It's a 2015 bike. It's a 2015 *cb500f*, obviously they REALLY want to get rid of it. So why they're quoting nearly 1k more than the sticker price is bullshit.
I'm not very experienced when it comes to haggling, but I'm thinking of going in and doing something like
>start convo with sales person about the bike
>"Tell me more about the cb500f"
>"So this bike's been here since 2015?"
>"It doesn't have ABS?"
>"The rebate is going to end at the end of may and the price will go up?"
>"What would the out of the door price be?"
>"$5400, ouch. "
>"I can do $4800 out the door."
and so on.
is that how you do it?
>inb4 new
I want to waste my money on a shitty slow bike
I usually check my oil every couple weeks just out of good habit. I always notice my antifreeze/coolant tank is empty. I'm not sure where the leak is at. My car seems to run just fine even though its empty. Is it not important to fill up? My dad says as long as the transmission fluid is full then that's all that matters
>>17181912
Radiator my dude
>>17181912
Your system isn't maintaining pressure so it's boiling off slowly.
>>17181912
>My dad says as long as the transmission fluid is full then that's all that matters
Oh look, another reason to not buy a used car.
What would be your vehicle of choice for an SHTF situation? Specifically an SHTF situation in which you'll be seeing combat. And would you go with a new vehicle or old vehicle? Would an EMP disable modern vehicles? I understand that some require electronics to function but what about, say, a current year Jeep Wranlger? Would an EMP make it inoperable?
>inb4 tank
I mean a vehicle that is reasonably easy to obtain legally in the United States
I can only think of 3 vehicles that would be awesome during an EMP and won't rely much on electronics
1. Toyota Tacoma, 90s preferably
Pretty much the most well known truck to anyone that watches middle east coverage on Fox news knows these trucks will last, and 90s have less electric shit to worry about
2. Dune buggy
Something that has the engine in the open and doesn't need electronics and light would be awesome. Easy to work on and can get you anywhere that isn't a mud hole or snow pile. You won't have heat or tunes but who cares, you're trying to survive
3. Motorcycle
This one pretty much explains itself: easy start, easy maintenance and light traversing. Just don't expect to haul a lot
A jeep wrangler might work, but those things cannot hold itself together
>shtf scenario
>not a diesel
Yeah an EMP would fuck a modern vehicle. Any gas laying around would go stale without additives and even then it goes to shit after a year. Something like a fully mechanical Detroit diesel on a heavy duty truck chassis would be ideal. It could run on biodiesel or transformer oil.
>>17181881
Bugging in is better than bugging out.
What is the most economical form of transportation? I want to hyper Jew this shit.
Cheap to buy, to fuel, to insure, to repair, and so forth.
I'm thinking the answer might be a 80's or 90's jap bike, but maybe an old shitbox civic would work?
Hardmode: no public transport or mopeds
Squidding a Suzuki GS500 is your answer, until you crash.
>>17181729
Is the squidding bit just to be more economical? I already have gear so you don't have to figure that into cost
I dailyed motorcycles for several years without owning a four wheeled vehicle.
Weather should determine your choice.
GS 500 is dirt cheap to own and operate and wrench but if you can wrench then anything reasonably reliable is fine.
Hey /o/
Wife and I are looking to get a new crossover as the family car.
She's leaning towards range rover evoque but I want the car to have some decent offroad capabilities.
I'm looking at jeep cherokee trailhawk.
What can /o/ recommend?
A double suicide will be a better option for you both
>>17181700
>crossover
Just walk up into the dealer at this point.
Be a normal American and buy a Crew Cab 1 ton truck
Does anyone ever feel sad thinking about all the cars out there you'd like to own but will probably never have enough money or have the right timing to own/drive them all? How to over come this?
>pic related
6 speed M5 I cant afford atm.
ugh, the E60 is boring. You don't want it. It's just gonna break every 2,000 miles and you will get 10mpg from that shitty V10
And the interior is the same as a $5000 5 series from 2004.
t. I owned an E60
>>17181668
Thanks br/o/ that makes me feel better.
Anyone own a FoRS and can tell me they're overrated as well?
>>17181711
No its a sweet car.
Downsides are that the visibility is shit, not rwd but does have drift mode. And it has a focus badge so to normioes it looks like a $12,000 grocery getter.
I picked up a AE86 as a project car and want a little more power (HP) for price than the stock DOHC A4GE engine.
I plan on making this a rally, track, daily driver (yes I know the suspension for rally isn't meant for track blah blah..) but i'm aiming for a solid 250 HP with an engine that's within a 150 pounds of the stock engine (roughly 400 pounds)
preferred no v8 swaps
3sgte
>I prefer not to go fast
SR20?
