Guys its killing me, Ive never owned a nissan and have never driven a Z.
For some reason either the 350 or 370 calls to me, like a siren.
Anyone have experience or even blind opinions of them?
A 350z would obviously be cheaper and more manageable price wise, but i could sell my truck and finance a (used) 370z.
Help
also nissan general thread
I saw a LS swapped 370 the other night. Shit was cash.

I'm the same way, I was always a bit on the fence because I know it's a bit large for a sports coupe, but after seeing a newer red 370z down at the local mall I've been in love. They seem like a sick option, the only downside is that a mustang GT is very close in price and the big v8 sounds better in my opinion.
I mean just look at those. The 370 is so much uglier than the 350 and the performance increase isn't worth the price hike
I'm finally getting myself a first car in a few months and am looking for something around 5000 dollars but below 10000 in general is fine. You guys have any suggestions for a quick and sporty car to look at?

You might hear different on this board but I dig the ford panther body, and the fourth gen mustang

Miata, z3, z4, corvette, tr7, xjs, and a few others fit that range that would probably suit your needs.

Been there done that and everyone hated it

You know my first thought was "won't it need to be constantly rebuilt like an f1 engine?" but then I remembered that if you can afford this then you wouldn't give a flying fuck.
Why hasn't NIO responded to this?
shut up OP

of all those imitating my bait threads, this one is actually kinda funny.

If only GM could imitate Nissan's performance lol
How come I am able to count the IQ of a pickup driver with one hand?
Only applies to lifted truck and Ram owners. Anyone who drives a B-series, Colorado, or Ranger is probably an alright dude

Time for a new car /o/, and I actually mean new. After many years of buying used cars, and quite enjoying it, I decided that I want to buy a car that I know has never been abused, and that I can take care of from day 1.
My budget is about 30k CAD, and I'm looking for something that is either a bit enthusiast oriented, or may not be so much but still has some power.
I can spend a bit more, but cheaper the better. The options I'm currently considering are:
Focus ST
Fiesta ST
Golf GTI
Subaru WRX (Non STI) - High on the price scale
What else should I be looking at test driving? I'm leaning heavily on the Fiesta ST mainly due to cost, and fuel economy. I'm worried that the Recaro seats won't be comfortable on long trips though, and I drive on about 800km trips about once a month.
Thoughts?

>not driving barefoot to get more connected with your vehicle
Are you even trying?
>>17838593
i drive barefoot when i wear flip flops.
But anon, I do drive barefoot. I keep a pair of slippers under the seat in case I get pulled over. If I MUST wear shoes (like when it's snowing or pouring rain), I wear my nicely broken-in chucks. They are basically like socks, great pedal feel.
nothing feels right when i barefoot.
maybe im not moving the seat up that half inch.
i always end up over revving and slop clutching.
plus feet are gross
Should I trade in my 2014 fiesta st for a focus rs ?
>>17838487
FiST is a brilliant car. You'll be fine keeping it buddy.

>>17838487
Is this even a question?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the FoRS an objectively superior car to the FiST?
If it is actually a pure trade, with no cash thrown in, go for it.
who wants it??

Hey /o/
Need a little help with something.
I bought a 2002 Forester and everything is fine on it except one thing.
Usually the power steering is fine but every so often it is jittery and hard to turn.
It only does this when I am turning the wheel to its limit either way.
Ontop of that the battery light and parking brake lights both come on when it is having trouble.
What could this be and how much would it cost to repair?
Did you check the power steering fluid?
>>17838263
Fan belt needs tightened
>>17838294
No serpentine? If so, it could be the tensioner pulley. Belt slips, messes with power steering pump and alternator causing it to throw the battery light.
Why the hate for automatics /o/??
If you have 2 identical cars bug one is manual and one is automatic, the automatic is gonna win the race
Automatic transmissions are designed to shift the most efficient time
But*
Nope, automatics have slip and won't shift into redline, not even in sport mode. Sperg more

Hello my br/o/thers. I come to you seeking advice.
I own a 2012 MazdaSpeed3, and while it was never intended to be a luxurious vehicle, (in fact, most reviews warned about how loud the road noise was) I would like to make the cabin a bit more quiet.
I don't really care about audio, so I'm not trying to make my sound system sound better, this is strictly to reduce road noise.
What material would I use that won't add a ridiculous amount of weight to my car, but would quiet down the interior noise? And where would I place this material for the best results, without having to completely cover my interior?
Thank you.
>>17838146
Use asbestos. That works a treat.
>>17838146
i think you would be better looking on a specialized mazda forum
if the road noise is that bad somebody probably did a whole tut on it
