On Monday morning, National Public Radio ran a story about the health risks of sitting for hours every day, particularly for people in late middle age and older.
Titled “Get off the couch, Baby Boomers — Or you may not be able to later,” the “Morning Edition” story by correspondent Patti Neighmond explained that prolonged sitting and binge TV watching are contributing factors to becoming less mobile in old age.
However, Trump supporters saw the #GetOffTheCouchBabyBoomers hashtag starting to trend and — assuming it was aimed at them — spoke up in their defense.

Dumbasses. It is a terrible hashtag though, since it sounds derogatory towards the people they are hoping to reach out to.

Because baby boomers are extremely inactive which is horrible for their health and quality of life. Funny how sensitive they are while using what most of them used to refer to as "devil boxes". Internet was better when it wasn't so accessible

>assuming it was aimed at them
But it literally was aimed at them. It says so right on the hashtag.
