New Jersey police are on the hunt for a man accused of performing a lewd act in the vicinity of children during a showing of “The Emoji Movie.”

Police in Howell told News12 that a mother was watching the film with her children at the Xscape Movie Theater Friday when she noticed a man – sitting alone in the back row – had his hands down his unzipped pants.

The theater’s manager asked the man to leave after the mother told staff what she saw.

Howell police released a photo of the man, described as a heavyset individual who had facial hair and was wearing a white dress shirt and black pants.

>sexually suggestive scenes capable of giving a man an unwanted erection are allowed in PG movies like The Emoji Movie
>softcore porn is allowed in R rated movies
>quietly massaging your benis to relieve the pressure of an erection while keeping it concealed in your pants in a dark movie theater while sitting alone is illegal

so it's basically illegal to be a man in modern western society

In Estonia, he declared: “To our allies here in Eastern Europe, we are with you, we stand with you on behalf of freedoms.” He added, presumably to raised Baltic eyebrows, that, “the president has made it very clear that Russia’s destabilizing activities, its support for rogue regimes, its activities in Ukraine, are unacceptable.”

In Tbilisi, Pence stood next to Georgia’s president and said, “the United States of America strongly condemns Russia’s occupation on Georgia’s soil.” He even reiterated America’s support for Georgia becoming a NATO member, something that has long raised Russian hackles.

In Montenegro, he told a conference of Western Balkan leaders, “Russia has worked to destabilize the region, undermine your democracies, and divide you from each other and from the rest of Europe.” He insisted, “The Western Balkans have the right to decide your own future.”

The trip seemed to align with a “major effort” by the Republicans to hamstring Trump over Russia, says Spencer Boyer, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institute and former senior state department and intelligence official. The aim, he says, is two-fold: to reassure allies that they are supported and to protect the Republican party’s own image. “They need to maintain the GOP’s brand as strong on security and they feel that Trump is undermining that—that the investigation into him and his potential ties with Russia during the campaign really hurts their storyline,” Boyer says.

Tom Hannah got more than he bargained for after deciding to join an anti-Muslim group on Facebook.
FacebookRedditTwitter
Tom’s idea was to joined the group not to spread hate but to actually troll them.

Going by the moniker of ‘lil troublemaker’ on Twitter, Tom told Buzzfeed that he often joins random Facebook groups just to cause a little mischief.

However, this little escapade quickly spiralled out of control when he was made an admin of the group ‘NO SHARIA LAW WORLDWIDE’, which has nearly 10,000 members.

London council planners have told developers that a new block of flats must include a gay bar - and they will send inspectors to check it's gay enough.
Tower Hamlets bosses will only let the site of closed gay bar the Joiners Arms be built on if the developers promise to include a pub that will 'remain a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender-focused venue for a minimum of 12 years'.
London's culture at risk officer Ed Bayes will make sure the person running the bar is 'sufficiently LGBT'.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4763298/London-planners-insist-new-flats-gay-bar.html

A spokesman said: 'The development on Hackney Road will re-provide a public house at ground-floor level with the same floor space as the previous Joiners Arms pub.
'We are committed to keeping this space within our development in Tower Hamlets as a LGBT+ venue and have offered a right of first refusal on the lease to LGBT+ interested parties, including the Friends of the Joiners Arms and the New Joiners Arms.
'If the lease is taken up by an interested party then the venue will be secured for at least 12 years for LGBT+ use. We have also agreed a rent-free period for the first year.

So, the reason why they're doing this is because a lot of gay bars have closed up due to gay dating apps and they want to maintain diversity?

If the dating apps are working well enough for gay people who want to date in that area, why force a gay bar on others who may be looking for housing? I don't really know the housing situation in Tower Hamlets, maybe there's several properties and apartments available and people can choose not to live next to a gay bar, but if it's quite desperate then that's pretty unfair.

But then how yould they show how progressive and open they are? If you haven't noticed yet most of these people so rabidly advocating for social issues don't give a damn about the actual people, they just push it for bragging rights, appreciation from their peers and to feel really good about themselves. They will still live their isolated lifes far away from the plebs that have to carry the burden while they can lecture them from above.

Right now virtual reality (VR) seems to be a zero billion dollar business, at least in terms of revenue generation. A huge amount of seemingly smart money is investing in VR, with applications across entertainment, medicine, travel and other industries. As to the entertainment and media space, each of the major studios is secretly or otherwise investigating VR. And so are the big theatre chains, mobile phone companies, writers and directors.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/energy-environment/wp/2017/07/31/we-only-have-a-5-percent-chance-of-avoiding-dangerous-global-warming-a-study-finds/?utm_term=.431c9ed82888

The first new study calculates the statistical likelihood of various amounts of warming by the year 2100 based on three trends that matter most for how much carbon we put in the air. Those are the global population, countries’ GDP (on a per capita basis), and carbon intensity, or the volume of emissions for a given level of economic activity.

The research finds that the median warming is likely to be 3.2 degrees Celsius, and further concludes that there’s only a 5 percent chance that the world can hold limiting below 2 degrees Celsius and a mere 1 percent chance that it can be limited below 1.5 degrees Celsius (2.7 degrees Fahrenheit).

The research is significant because 2 degrees Celsius has often been regarded as the threshold for so-called “dangerous” climate change. Figueres herself put it this way in an interview with CBS News: “Science has established for quite a while that we need to respect a threshold of 2 degrees, that being the limit of the temperature increase that we can afford from a human, economic and infrastructure point of view.”

That is honestly much higher then I thought. But does this jus mean we will slow the rate we reach these temperatures or that we can actually reverse the effects?

If global population is such a problem, we could just stop subsidizing the third world and let nature take her revenge. That would take care of a few 100 million people at least.
>>
global warming is fake and dead, no one buys it anymore. You faggots need something new.
>>
>>163073

If somehow we were about to stop it right now it would still go up for decades regardless.
In the article they say they hope in future somebody might invent something to reverse the effects buts that not helping right now.
Most likely nature will fuck shit up but it will be too late by then, you can expect drought, floods, famine, resource wars etc across the third world.
Problem is that its the industralised world that is causing it, so by the time The Reaping starts it will already be too late.
In fact, its already too late now and always was.

>Scott Pruitt has repeated a particular line again and again since becoming the head of the Environmental Protection Agency.

>“The future ain’t what it used to be at the EPA,” he’s fond of saying.

>As it turns out, the past may not be what it once was, either.

>In an obscure corner of the Ronald Reagan International Trade Building, a debate is underway about how to tell the story of the EPA’s history and mission.

>A miniature museum that began as a pet project of former EPA administrator Gina McCarthy has come under scrutiny. It features the agency’s work over 4½ decades, with exhibit topics such as regulating carbon dioxide emissions and the Paris climate accord. The Obama administration championed such efforts, but President Trump’s policies are at odds with them.

>Now the museum, which opened just days before President Barack Obama left office, is being reworked to reflect the priorities of the Trump administration, an effort that probably will mean erasing part of the agency’s history.

>Unlike other stark changes that have taken place at the EPA since Trump took office, the museum overhaul has not been primarily driven by political appointees. Rather, some of the same career staff members who worked on the exhibits under the Obama administration informed Trump appointees about the museum and the fact that parts of it were not in line with their vision.

>>
>Most people outside the agency aren’t even aware of the one-room exhibit just outside the entrance to the EPA Credit Union, which cost more than $300,000 to assemble and is open to the public free each weekday. McCarthy cut the ribbon with a giant pair of scissors Jan. 17, joined by a handful of former and current EPA officials and staff members.

>There is no question that parts of the museum reflect an Obama administration-centric narrative. It includes a panel dedicated to the 2009 “endangerment finding,” in which then-EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson concluded that the agency was legally obligated to control greenhouse gas emissions linked to climate change because they threatened public health. A separate panel features a Dr. Seuss cartoon-themed poster with the message “Join the Lorax and Help Protect the Earth From Global Warming.”

>The Paris agreement, in which nearly 200 nations pledged in December 2015 to curb their carbon output, also has a display panel, which notes that the “EPA is leading global efforts to address climate change.” In June, Trump announced plans to withdraw from the agreement.

>The Clean Power Plan, Obama’s signature effort to regulate carbon emissions and combat climate change, also is prominently displayed. “The CPP shows the world that the United States is committed to address climate change,” the exhibit reads.

>Trump signed an executive order in March ordering his deputies to scrap the Clean Power Plan.

>On a tour of the exhibit Thursday, a career official said that these climate displays are slated to be removed, adding that the agency may add a display of coal to the museum.

>Grantham acknowledged that the climate panels probably will be altered and possibly shelved, although she stressed that no final decisions had been made. “It should be no surprise that there may be changes,” she said.
>>
>She also said there is interest in beefing up sections of the museum that are priorities for the new administration, such as the Superfund program and a bipartisan 2016 law regulating new and existing chemicals that some of Pruitt’s deputies helped write. She said the administration also may add examples of EPA staff members working on agriculture to a section focused on agency employees in the field.

>Every past EPA administrator is mentioned in the museum, with one exception: Anne Gorsuch, mother of Supreme Court Justice Neil M. Gorsuch, whose short and tumultuous tenure as President Ronald Reagan’s first EPA administrator was marked by sharp budget cuts, rifts with career EPA employees and a scandal over the mismanagement of the Superfund cleanup program. She resigned in 1983.

>Grantham said Gorsuch will be added to the exhibit.

>The EPA museum began as the brainchild of McCarthy, who visited pollution-themed museums in Japan a year ago. Meeting with other environmental ministers from G-7 nations in Toyama, she toured the prefecture’s Itai-itai Disease Museum, which is focused on a pollution-related illness that began in the area a century ago.

>Back in Washington, staff members set about making her vision a reality, with the goal of having it up and running before the Obama administration left office.

>Albert Stanley “Stan” Meiburg, who served as the EPA’s acting deputy administrator at the end of Obama’s second term and worked at the agency for nearly 40 years, said he was struck by the fact that other agencies ranging from the Energy Department to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had exhibits on-site that told their stories.

>“EPA had nothing,” he recalled. “Nothing!”

>McCarthy “gave us the impetus” to do the exhibit, Meiburg said, although she did not oversee its development.
>>
>“We thought, ‘Now’s the opportunity to do it, and to do it in the way that told the history of the agency,’” he said, noting that the EPA had that space under lease and “could modify it at very little cost.”

>Meiburg said “the focus of it was the story of the agency” and “it was not something driven by a particular agenda.” But he added, “We wanted to try to get this opened on Gina’s watch.”

>After identifying a space they could use for the museum, EPA employees contracted with the Smithsonian for advice on gathering artifacts and setting up exhibits. They also contacted the EPA Alumni Association.

>That group shared a 50-page document it had put together, titled “50 years of environmental progress,” according to Phyllis Flaherty, an alumni association board member who worked at the EPA from 1976 to 2011. She said the document provided a sort of outline for what to include in the exhibit. The group also contributed a video for an exhibit about the EPA’s role in the anthrax episode on Capitol Hill in 2001, as well as historical photos and the text of oral history interviews they had done.

>Linda St. Thomas, a spokeswoman for the Smithsonian, said the institution prepared the elements of the exhibit, such as the display panels, but had no input on its underlying content.

>Christopher Sellers, an environmental historian at Stony Brook University who has visited the exhibit, questioned in an interview why the federal government would want to alter it so soon.

>“It gives a good sense of what EPA has done over the last 40 years of its existence,” he said. “It really explains what’s at stake in having an agency like the EPA and having environmental laws to begin with.”

The trial of "pharma bro" Martin Shkreli gets weirder and weirder.

Tim Pierotti, who once ran a consumer hedge fund for Shkreli, testified Tuesday that the man who gained notoriety by raising the price of a life-saving drug more than 5,000% sent a threatening letter to his home, addressed to his wife, reading, “I hope to see you and your four children homeless. I will do whatever I can to assure this."

The letter was entered into evidence at Shkreli’s trial in Federal District Court in Brooklyn.

In the letter, Shkreli accused Pierotti of stealing $1.6 million from him and added, "making an enemy out of me is a mistake." The theft accusation allegedly revolved around the sale of shares of Retrophin, a biopharmaceutical company Shkreli ran.

The two men met in 2011, when Pierotti joined MSMB, Shkreli's hedge fund. Pierotti testified that he put all of the money from that fund into one stock—Rick's Cabaret, a chain of strip clubs, with Shkreli's approval.

It's the latest in a long series of odd moves for Shkreli, who also paid $2 million for the sole copy of a Wu-Tang Clan album (something he might have to forfeit should the trial not go his way).If nothing else, it sounds like the Off-Broadway musical based on his life might have to be expanded.

WASHINGTON -- An empty lot in Jersey City, New Jersey is where the Kushner Companies plan to put two gleaming towers of rental apartments and retail space, a project called One Journal Square.

>But prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney's office in Brooklyn now want to know more about the project's financing.

>According to the Wall Street Journal, the U.S. Attorney's office has subpoenaed the company for information on its use of a program that allows foreigners, residency to get green cards in exchange for investing $500,000 or more in projects that create at least 10 jobs. They're called EB-5 visas.

>The Kushner Companies used EB-5 funding for two projects in the same city, the second carrying the president's name: Trump Bay Street.

>Emily Wolf, general counsel for Kushner Companies, told CBS News the program "is frequently used by many large developers to raise funds and help create jobs" and they "did nothing improper."

>But in May, the company apologized after Jared Kushner's sister, Nicole Meyer, told potential Chinese investors that the Journal Square project was important to her entire family, and specifically mentioned her brother Jared, now a top aide to the president, raising questions of influence peddling.

>And there are questions about a Florida company the Kushners used to recruit Chinese investors called the U.S. Immigration Fund.

>Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley is calling for a federal review of that company's arrangement with the Kushner Companies.

>Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop has his own concerns about the use of the visa program for the Trump Bay Street project.

>"I think the goal of the EB-5 program is low-income investment in low-income areas. And I think that that obviously didn't serve that goal," Fulop said.

>President Trump introduced new legislation today with Sens. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., and David Perdue, R-Ga., aimed at cutting legal immigration to the United States.

>The bill - a revised version of an immigration-reform act introduced in February - would change the system for granting legal residency, or green cards, by giving priority to high-skilled immigrants who are English-speaking.

>"This competitive application process will favor applicants who can speak English, financially support themselves and their families and demonstrate skills that will contribute to our economy," Trump said today at the White house alongside Sens. Cotton and Perdue.

>Trump said that the new legislation would help boost the pay of American workers and "help ensure that newcomers to our wonderful country will be assimilated, will succeed, and will achieve the American dream."

>It's unclear when the Senate may take up the legislation. The initial immigration reform bill in February was opposed by some Republicans and business groups.

NORTH Korea has demanded Donald Trump “wave the white flag now” as it promised to deliver “gift packages” to the US.

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/world-news/634810/North-Korea-Missiles-Nuclear-War-Donald-Trump-US-Surrender-Kim-Jong-un-Gift-ICBM-Pyongyang

Kim Jong-un launched the thinly veiled threat in the wake of its latest ICBM test as tensions reach breaking point between Pyongyang and Washington.
North Korea’s state media declared the US was sitting on the “knife edge of life and death” as it appeared to threaten nuclear war.
The White House led the world in condemning Pyongyang’s unstoppable quest of nuclear weapons, amid fears their new missiles can strike the continental US.
