>The Grand Haven Tribune reports authorities confiscated 58 ducks Sunday in Ottawa County’s Chester Township. Conservation Officer Ivan Perez says the hunters were over the legal limit for ducks and were using too much corn as bait.
>Authorities say the men used 200 pounds of corn to use as bait to lure and shoot the birds near a private pond in Coopersville.
>Officials say the limit is six birds, but in this case all were illegal because of the bait used. The men are due in Hudsonville District Court this month. If convicted, they face up to $500 restitution per bird and would face suspension of their hunting licenses.

A significant portion of online support for Hillary Clinton is manufactured by paid “astroturf” trolls: a large team of supporters who spend long hours responding to negative news on the internet about her. The Clinton SuperPAC Correct the Record, which is affiliated with her campaign, acknowledged in an April press release that it was spending $1 million on project “Breaking Barriers” to pay people to respond to negative information about Clinton on social media sites like Facebook, Reddit, Instagram and Twitter. That amount has since increased to over $6 million. The trolls create a false impression that Clinton has more support than she really does, because one supporter will frequently create multiple anonymous accounts.

Libby Watson of The Sunlight Foundation observed that the astroturf effort goes far beyond merely defending Clinton, to targeting and intimidating those who criticize her. She told The Daily Beast, “This seems to be going after essentially random individuals online.”

Brian Donahue, chief executive of the consulting firm Craft Media/Digital, explained the troll operation to The Los Angeles Times, “It is meant to appear to be coming organically from people and their social media networks in a groundswell of activism, when in fact it is highly paid and highly tactical.” He went on, “That is what the Clinton campaign has always been about. It runs the risk of being exactly what their opponents accuse them of being: a campaign that appears to be populist but is a smokescreen that is paid and brought to you by lifetime political operatives and high-level consultants.”

The ugliest gang-rape case was committed on Sep 2 by 6 students of one of the most prestigious universities in Japan (KEIO).
The victim was their classmate. After the assault, criminals poured their urine on the victim's face.
The most serious problem is that KEIO university and police department seem to have sought to sweep this case under the rug for keeping the reputations of the university, students and graduates.
Thanks to their efforts, the criminals have not been so far arrested though 1.5 months has passed since the victim reported the case to the police.
It has been said that the criminals recorded the gang-rape scene and have shared the video among their friends.

On the campaign trail, Hillary Clinton frequently decries the influence that monied donors have on the political process. But behind closed doors, in speeches at Goldman Sachs events, she urged members of the donor class to exert their influence––especially on recalcitrant Republicans.

Wikileaks released emails on Oct. 15 containing what it says are full transcripts of three paid speeches that Clinton gave at Goldman Sachs events. The Clinton campaign didn’t comment on the validity of these transcripts. Publicly, the campaign has asserted that the Russian government is responsible for the release of the emails––which were hacked from campaign chairman John Podesta’s Gmail account.

“There is no getting around it: Donald Trump is cheering on a Russian attempt to influence our election through a crime reminiscent of Watergate but on a more massive scale,” said campaign spokesperson Glen Caplin in a statement emailed to The Daily Beast. “We’re witnessing another effort to steal private campaign documents in order to influence an election. Only this time, instead of filing cabinets, it’s people’s emails they’re breaking into and a foreign government is behind it. Oddly, Trump continues to defend Putin and deflect blame. It’s time for Donald Trump to condemn this intrusion by the Kremlin and tell voters what did his campaign know and when did they know it.”

On Saturday, Wikileaks released transcripts from three speeches, all delivered in 2013. The first was on June 4, and the next two were on Oct. 24 and Oct. 29, right after the conclusion of the short-lived partial government shutdown. You can download and read the speeches here. In all three speeches, Clinton argued that political donors should use their influence to push politicians to be more compromising.

Analyzing the political climate in the run up to the 2016 presidential campaign, Clinton theorized there was room for a potential third-party candidate of the Republicans nominated a weak one.

“What we see on the left is way more disconcerting,” Clinton supposedly told Goldman Sachs bankers in 2014.

“The early data suggests that while the minority base is probably still dominated by the Democratic messaging, a coalition of sub altern interests is forming that could, with an extremely weak Republican nominee, create and aperture for either a 3rd party victory or, in essence an election inflection point where an insurgent candidate could actually co-opt — take over — a major party,” Clinton said.

“This coalition, a collection of generally under-represented, low social capital individuals has become increasingly networked and increasingly motivated.

“This group that our analysts are calling the ((Makes air quotes)) bucket of losers could not only be a significant force in the next election but could, on an outside percentile, even win.”
