A highly experienced FBI investigator and former army officer hired by special counsel Robert Mueller to examine Russia's interference in the 2016 election has unexpectedly stepped away from the probe, ABC News reported on Wednesday.

>Peter Strzok, a veteran counterintelligence investigator, is now working for the FBI's human resources division, according to ABC. It is unclear why he stepped aside, or if he did so voluntarily.

>Asha Rangappa, a former FBI counterintelligence agent and associate dean at Yale Law School, said that she had "never heard of an agent being moved to the human resources department."

>"I have seen instances where if some issue comes up, the agent might be moved to another investigation or to the operations center, where you essentially field calls all day," Rangappa said. "But why he would be moved to HR is just bizarre."

>Rangappa did not want to speculate on what may have happened in Strzok's case, but said there were many factors — ranging from small administrative violations to more significant incidents — that could raise questions about an agent's ability to stay on a case.

>A former FBI agent who worked with Strzok on and off over several years in the bureau's counterintelligence division said that Strzok's move to HR means he has now been separated from counterintelligence work altogether.

>The FBI sometimes parks agents in the human resources department, the agent explained, when they need to be reassigned quickly away from substantive matters and there's no other place to put them. Christopher Wray, who was confirmed as the new FBI director two weeks ago, would have played a role in reassigning Strzok.

>Strzok headed the FBI's counterespionage division last year and was one of the top officials overseeing the criminal investigation into whether Hillary Clinton mishandled classified information while she was secretary of state. He had previously worked on some of the "most secretive investigations in recent years involving Russian and Chinese espionage," according to the New York Times.

>Rangappa noted that the DOJ's Office of the Inspector General (OIG) opened an investigation in January into the FBI's handling of the email probe, including former FBI Director James Comey's decision to announce a new inquiry into her email server 11 days before the election. It is not clear whether Strzok, who supervised elements of the email probe, was caught up in the OIG investigation.

>The OIG declined to comment. But their website lists the probe as ongoing.

>Strzok's departure also came one week after The Washington Post reported that Mueller had obtained a search warrant to raid the home of President Donald Trump's former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort. The Post report cited "people familiar with the search," prompting questions about whether anyone on Mueller's team had leaked the existence of the search warrant to the Post.

>Mueller has assembled two-dozen investigators and lawyers to help him examine Russia's election interference and whether Trump's campaign colluded with Moscow to undermine Clinton. The former FBI director impaneled a grand jury in late July that quickly issued subpoenas related to the June 2016 meeting between Trump's eldest son and a Russian lawyer with connections to the Kremlin.

>Manafort and Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, also attended the meeting.

The media has moved on to the alt left vs alt right movement, so there's no longer a need to push the Russian narrative.

People were getting burn out from it and the alt left can't get anything more out of it.

We'll probably hear about it being called off in a few months. They'll try to save it as a pocket ace in case the alt left riots don't take

literally just people protesting a neo-nazi rally, for which removal of a statue became an excuse to finally meet up IRL and march around playing hitler youth.
that was literally their only platform. Alt-left in this case means everyone that isn't a neo-nazi, WN, WS, neo-confederate, traditionalist worker etc etc

Indian and Chinese soldiers were involved in a physical altercation in the western Himalayas on Tuesday as tensions continue to rise over the disputed border

http://www.trunews.com/article/indian-and-chinese-soldiers-clash-amid-border-standoff

NEW DELHI/SRINAGAR, India (TRUNEWS) A source in New Delhi, who had been briefed on the military situation on the border, said soldiers foiled a bid by a group of Chinese troops to enter Indian territory in Ladakh, near the Pangong lake. Some of the Chinese soldiers carried iron rods and stones, and in the melee there were minor injuries on both sides, the source said. China's defense and foreign ministries did not immediately respond to request for comment. The two sides have frequently accused each other of intrusions into each other's territories, but clashes are rare.

The Indian military declined to comment on the incident. "There was an altercation near the Pangong lake," said a police officer in Srinagar, the capital of India's Jammu and Kashmir state, under which the area falls. An army source in Srinagar also spoke of an altercation following what he called a Chinese army "incursion in Pangong lake area". The two armies are already engaged in a standoff in the Doklam plateau further east, in another part of their 3,500 km (2,175 mile) unmarked mountain border.

China has repeatedly asked India to unilaterally withdraw from the Doklam area, or else face the prospect of an escalation. Chinese state media have warned India of a fate worse than its crushing defeat in a brief border war in 1962. The trouble started in June when India sent troops to stop China building a road in the Doklam area, which is remote, uninhabited territory claimed by both China and India's ally Bhutan. New Delhi said it sent its troops because Chinese military activity in Doklam, near the trijunction of the borders of India, China and Bhutan, was a threat to the security of its own northeast region.

President Trump’s main council of top corporate leaders disbanded on Wednesday following the president’s controversial remarks in which he equated white nationalist hate groups with the protesters opposing them. Soon after, the president announced on Twitter that he would end his executive councils, rather than put “pressure” on executives.

http://www.inquisitr.com/4413881/trumps-human-sex-trafficking-investigation-trump-told-bill-clinton-many-underage-models-were-brought-to-u-s/

Claude Taylor, an ex-White House staffer who worked for former President Bill Clinton for five years, has published explosive new claims that President Donald Trump told Clinton that Trump Model Management brought many models into the U.S. that were underage. As reported by the Inquisitr, Taylor’s Twitter account has grown in the number of followers, as Claude alleges that New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is investigating human sex trafficking in connection with Trump Model Management, “involving sexual exploitation of minor children,” according to Taylor.

On Sunday, August 6, Taylor published tweets that explained to his Twitter followers that he was not publishing any accusations against his former presidential boss, but wrote that his Schneiderman source told him that Trump told Clinton that lots of underage girls were involved in the Trump Model Management business. As a result, Claude claims that Clinton might have to testify as to what Trump told him about underage girls in the modeling firm.

“I worked for Bill Clinton for 5 years. Proud of my small role. I am not accusing him of anything. I’m just saying my Schneiderman source says that Trump told Clinton many models brought into US were underage and Clinton may be prepared to testify that’s what Trump said.”
As reported by IR.net, Taylor is winning kudos for breaking political stories prior to the mainstream media. Therefore, when Claude tweets that the Russian mob supplied young girls and women to the now-shuttered Trump Model Management firm, people sit up, take notice, and retweet his allegations aplenty.

“Key cooperating witness is the go between who worked with Russian Organized Crime in supplying the girls/woman to Trump Model Management.”

Claude wrote that since he is the father of a daughter, Taylor is at the stage that he’s willing to let the chips fall where they may when it comes to the allegations of human sex trafficking and young girls. Regarding blowback Claude might receive on Twitter, such as one Twitter user who wrote that what Claude was doing was dangerous, Taylor shot back and asked if he should merely sit on what he’s been told by his source to the New York Attorney General’s office, noting that Taylor was merely passing along the information given to him by his source.

“I’m only conveying what I’ve been told by a source close to Schneiderman investigation. Would you prefer I sit on the information?”

Isn't is strange how Trump would repeat any crazy unverified story that made the Clintons look bad but never once touched all the allegations of Bill being involved with Epstein and child sex trafficking even though it was probably the most harmful of all the allegations? Well it's because he was guilty too.

http://www.politico.com/story/2017/05/04/jeffrey-epstein-trump-lawsuit-sex-trafficking-237983

A woman suing in connection with Jeffrey Epstein’s underage sex ring claims she was first approached while working as a towel girl at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.
NEW YORK—A woman who claims in a lawsuit that she was lured into a sex-trafficking ring run by billionaire Jeffrey Epstein contends that the depravity began at a Florida resort now known as the winter White House: Mar-a-Lago.

Virginia Giuffre’s civil suit, scheduled to go to trial here later this month, threatens to expose new details of a long-running saga tying together President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta, and other prominent figures, including Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz.

Epstein, a well-connected Manhattan money manager and philanthropist, was once a regular at Mar-a-Lago and an active supporter of the Clinton Foundation—repeatedly lending his 727 jet to Clinton for trips overseas. Dershowitz defended Epstein amid an investigation into his involvement with underage girls more than a decade ago, and it was Acosta—then the U.S. attorney overseeing south Florida—who allowed Epstein’s case to be resolved in state court in 2008.

The scandal has spawned a series of drawn-out civil suits, including Giuffre’s.

Giuffre, formerly Roberts, claims she was 15 and working as a towel girl at Trump’s posh Palm Beach club when she was recruited nearly two decades ago into sexual slavery by socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, then Epstein’s girlfriend.

A lawyer for Trump says the president was unaware of any wrongdoing by Epstein.

WASHINGTON — President Trump shared on Twitter a cartoon on Tuesday morning of a train running over a person with a CNN logo covering the person’s head, three days after a fatal collision in Charlottesville, Va. Mr. Trump deleted his retweet minutes later.

Mr. Trump has been under fire for how he has publicly addressed bloody demonstrations by white nationalists over the weekend. Promoting a cartoon of a person being run over by a train appeared to belittle the attack by a driver who ran into a crowd of counterprotesters, leaving a 32-year-old woman dead on Saturday and 19 others injured. An Ohio man has been charged with second-degree murder in the crash.

On Monday, Mr. Trump bowed to pressure and condemned white supremacists protesting the removal of a Confederate statue, and the president called racism “evil.” But later Monday, Mr. Trump took to Twitter to criticize what he called the fake news media for not being satisfied with his additional remarks.

The president has long appeared to sanction violence, going back to his campaign when, at a rally, he said he wanted to punch a Black Lives Matter protester in the face. He later said the man, who was assaulted by Trump supporters in the crowd, might have deserved to get roughed up.

Mr. Trump and his associates have long been critical of CNN. On Tuesday, the president’s re-election committee issued a statement criticizing CNN for what the committee described as censorship because the news network did not air an advertisement that was released on Sunday.

The ad briefly shows faces of television journalists, including several from CNN, with the words “attacking our president,” and a voice-over at the end says “the president’s enemies” as their faces reappear.

A network spokeswoman said CNN would have accepted the ad if the reporters and anchors had been removed.

“Anchors and reporters don’t have ‘enemies,’ as the ad states, but they do hold those in power accountable across the political spectrum and aggressively challenge false and misleading statements and investigate wrongdoing,” Barbara Levin, the spokeswoman, said.

In July, Mr. Trump posted a video on his Twitter account portraying him wrestling and punching a figure whose head had been replaced by the CNN logo. The video appeared to be an edited clip from years ago when Mr. Trump was part of a professional wrestling event.

In the speech on Long Island a few weeks ago, the president told a group of law enforcement officers assembled for the event that he preferred they not be too “nice” with criminal suspects, a remark that drew widespread condemnation.

Late Monday, Mr. Trump also shared a post from the account of a pro-Trump conspiracy theorist suggesting that the news media is ignoring violence in Chicago. The account owner, Jack Posobiec, is known for promoting false narratives such as the “Pizzagate” hoax and a conspiracy theory about the murder of a Democratic aide.

Mr. Trump’s tweet on Chicago violence was in keeping with comments he made throughout the campaign, and with what some of his allies said after Charlottesville, accusing the news media of giving undue attention to the neo-Nazis who went to the town instead of the counterprotesters.

Mr. Trump has also frequently reached for Chicago’s violence as a negative example when explaining himself, including in a recent speech on Long Island, where he described the city’s high crime rate and argued that it was easier to fix than the city’s local leaders acknowledged.

Oh my. That tweet is clearly making fun of the victim, and is not in any way related to the Trump train memes.
>>
>>168748
Looks more like the person in the comic (CNN) is trying to stop a moving train (Trump) in vain instead of the train hitting the person. Sounds to me like the wrestling video where people chose to interpret it in a way that makes them feel attacked instead of a more humorous interpretation.

President Donald Trump says he will not rule out a "military option" to respond to the Maduro regime in Venezuela.

The Trump administration has issues sanctions against Maduro and others, accusing them of abusing human rights and undermining democratic processes.

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/08/11/trump-on-venezuela-im-not-going-to-rule-out-a-military-option.html

President Donald Trump on Friday said he would not rule out a "military option" in Venezuela as the ruling regime there consolidates power.
"We have many options for Venezuela, including a possible military option, if necessary," Trump told reporters at his New Jersey golf club on Friday.
The president did not answer a question about whether American troops would lead a potential operation.
"We don't talk about it. But a military operation, a military option, is certainly something we could pursue," he responded.
Reuters reported later Friday that the Pentagon said the White House hadn't given it any orders on Venezuela.
In response, Venezuela's defense minister said that Trump's threat of military intervention was "a crazy act."

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/08/11/24-times-citizens-used-guns-to-save-lives/

>On January 12, 2017, the New York Times editorial board claimed, “The grim truth is that concealed-carry permit holders are rarely involved in stopping crime.” And that very same day a concealed carry permit holder in Arizona used his gun to save the life of a state trooper who was under attack on I-10.
In fact, authentic academic work on gun use for self-defense shows that Americans in general—whether concealed permit holders or not—use guns for defense of themselves and others at least 760,000 a year. That is not a typo—Florida State University criminologist Gary Kleck’s research shows that the minimum number of defensive gun uses (DGUs) is 760,000 annually.

>We do not hear about DGUs from the establishment media because it goes against their gun control template. So Breitbart News thought it would be beneficial to pull together 24 examples of citizens using guns defensively over the past six weeks. In some of these instances the citizen did not have to pull the trigger—just brandishing the weapon was enough—but in some of the incidents the citizen did have to fire, wounding or killing robbery and/or assault suspects.

>President Trump thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday for ordering the U.S. to cut its diplomatic staff by 755 people, his first public comments on the extraordinary move by Moscow in response to new sanctions legislation that Trump signed into law.

>Trump said he was thanking Putin because the decision allows the U.S. government to "cut down our payroll."

>“I want to thank him because we’re trying to cut down our payroll and as far as I’m concerned I’m very thankful that he let go of a large number of people because now we have a smaller payroll," Trump told reporters at his Bedminster, N.J. golf club.

>"There’s no real reason for them to go back. I greatly appreciate the fact that we’ve been able to cut our payroll of the United States," he continued. "We’re going to save a lot of money.”

>Putin announced last month that the U.S. diplomatic mission in Russia must cut its staff by 755 people, saying that his government had lost patience that its relationship with the U.S. would improve.
The Russian president's decision came after Congress overwhelmingly passed new sanctions targeting Russia, Iran and North Korea. The sanctions against Russia were prompted by the U.S. intelligence community's conclusion that the Kremlin sought to interfere in the 2016 presidential election and sway the race in Trump's favor.

>Putin has denied that his government was involved in the meddling efforts.

>Trump reluctantly signed the sanctions into law, arguing they infringed on his presidential powers.

Kim Jong Un should take heed of the United Nations Security Council’s unified voice, and statements from governments the world over, who agree the DPRK [Democratic People’s Republic of Korea] poses a threat to global security and stability. The DPRK must choose to stop isolating itself and stand down its pursuit of nuclear weapons. The DPRK should cease any consideration of actions that would lead to the end of its regime and the destruction of its people."
>If Mattis is talking openly about “the end of its regime and the destruction of its people,” that means that military options are almost certainly on the table. >Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) is launching a database of legislation to help combat climate change in response to President Trump's decision to leave the Paris accord.

>The website, envirolaws.org, is a cooperative effort between the Schwarzenegger Institute at the University of South Carolina and the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators. It contains a searchable database of environmental bills and laws. The database is meant to help lawmakers across the country craft their own climate change legislation.

>In an interview with Politico, Schwarzenegger called it a direct challenge to Trump.

>"There’s no reason why we shouldn’t have a digital legislative handbook — and make it available to people who wanted to create environmental action now — because of the situation with Trump," Schwarzenegger said Thursday.

>"With his decision on the Paris agreement, it is even more so important to make this information available because it shows the kinds of wonderful things states can do without waiting for the federal government."

>According to Schwarzenegger, his new website will empower state legislators to go further than the Trump administration is willing to go on environmental issues.

>"The message to legislators with the project is now 'you have the power to do it yourselves,'" he told Politico. "The reality is each state now goes to work and passes great legislation that helps them ... make great decisions."

Stephen Bannon, President Trump’s chief strategist, has been pushing for regulating internet companies like Facebook and Google as public utilities, according to a report in The Intercept published Thursday.

The news outlet cited three unnamed sources who have spoken to Bannon about the internet giants. They said Bannon believes that Facebook and Google have become so essential to internet users that they should be regulated like natural monopolies.

The debate over how much the government should crack down on internet companies has received renewed attention as the Federal Communications Commission moves to repeal the Obama-era net neutrality rules. The rules subject internet service providers to utility-style regulation and require them to treat all web traffic equally.
And some believe that web-based companies should be given similar treatment to prevent them from abusing their power over their own networks.

Google has been facing scrutiny from the European Union over its practices. Last month, the company was hit with a record antitrust fine of $2.7 billion for favoring its own comparison-shopping service in its search results.

There’s been no rest for the wicked just a week into President Donald Trump’s 17-day vacation, what with our late-summer flirtation with nuclear war. But the women in the Trump clan seem to have been able to kick back. Given the dearth of photographic evidence otherwise, perhaps they have finally been able to put their feet up.

This hiatus allows us to reflect on a minor Trumpian trend to which the nation has become accustomed since January: the ubiquitous stiletto pump. The vertiginous spike-heel shoe is not currently in fashion, but for Ivana, Ivanka, Melania and the Trump daughters-in-law, Carrie Bradshaw’s shoe of choice never went out of style. In fact, the female consorts of the Leader of the Free World do not set foot in public without first molding their arches into the supranatural curve that Mattel toy designers once devised for Barbie’s plastic feet.

Six months in, and the Trump women are well on their way to normalizing the footwear of the beauty pageant. The Cinderella shoe fitted on the feet of all the Miss Teen USA’s and Miss Universes who ever beamed under the Trumpian gaze in contests of yore also is the shoe that average women can bear for only a few hours at weddings or proms, before casting them off, moaning and rubbing their soles.

While Democrats continue to ignore constant evidence of voter fraud, yet another orchestrated, mass voter fraud and identity theft scheme has been uncovered.

http://www.masslive.com/news/index.ssf/2017/08/state_rmv_employees_accused_of.html

Four state Registry of Motor Vehicle clerks along with two other people were arrested Wednesday after authorities say they were making false identifications through the registry and selling them to people living in the country illegally, some of whom had been deported in the past.

Some of those phony licenses and identifications were used to fraudulently register to vote in Boston, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Evelyn Medina, 56, of Boston; Annette Gracia, 37, of Boston; Kimberly Jordan, 33, of Randolph; David Brimage, 46, of Boston; Bivian Yohanny Brea, 41, of Boston; and a 32-year-old man identified as John Doe were all charged in federal court with aggravated identity theft.

Medina, Gracia, Jordan, and Brimage were employed as clerks at the Haymarket Registry of Motor Vehicles. Authorities said Brea and Flako worked with the RMV clerks to operate the scheme.

The case against the six people began after Massachusetts State Police received an anonymous letter in October 2015 claiming a “corrupt RMV employee” was providing stolen identifications and drivers’ license to people seeking the phony documents.

The irony is that this news is the worst nightmare of Trump supporters who think voter fraud is widespread despite all the evidence to the contrary.

First, it's partly fake news. It's not voter fraud unless an illegal vote is cast.
Secondly, only 10 of the 30 illegal migrants purchased the fake ID

And of all the folks who got fake ID, zero voted in the last election.

Which makes perfect sense, in light of the fact that illegal migrants do everything they can to produce a paper trail that will protect them in case their legality is questioned.

This is why states like CA actually have sensible laws. By enabling illegal aliens access to non-citizen drivers' licenses, they remove any incentive to commit fraud.

Lastly, I would like to thank these folks for demonstrating exactly why voter ID provides a false sense of security at best, and disenfranchises ten of thousand otherwise legal voters for the sake of a dozen folks with fraudulent documentation.

>It's not real fraud because there's so little of it
>Just 6 government officials selling licenses to illegals nothing to worry about
Typical Commie logic. This investigation for election reform has barely just begun.
And fraud is already being found all over the place.
