anyone on /n/ riding a uni?
im thinking of buing one; any tips on choosing a beginner uni?

I ride occasionally. It's fun. Not even remotely practical, but fun.
My first was a 20" $40 no-name from Amazon. My second was a 26" Torker. I recommend getting the cheap one in case you don't actually like unicycling.
Unicycled a bit around 10th grade, for about a year. Impractical for transport. Walking is more efficient, and you don't have to lug around a wobbly shin club when you reach your destination.
A fixie is good compromise of fun and efficiency. Even that gets old after a while though, at least here with many a hill
a razor scooter is better in every single way
