It's about a 7k minimum buy in, and I know you can build and or scavenge everything to build one accept the glider and reserve chute. I've done the calculations and with the para glider it should cost about 3k max to build you own

Ultra light aircraft my guy, anything under 350 pounds in the US, think Canada and Europe require you to have some kinda licence, but you can just buy one in the US and start flying as soon as you get it
