How could autonomous passenger drones be incorporated into our current mix of trains, cars, bicycles and trams?
Lets have a serious faggot free discussion thanks
>>1027528
I'm not a fan, depending entirely on an autonomous system is a finicky enough prospect without lives on the line.
Regulations will never let it happen.
If such a things was possible. We would have ultralight helicopters in city airspace already. Instead out in the country side only.
It's gonna be fun throwing these at them.
How /n/ is this?

ITT: department store (Walmart, Kmart, etc.) and other super low end bikes. Bonus points for wacky or unusual ones. I wouldn't probably want to ride pic related though (the frame looks really questionable to me).
My old bicycle, some canadian tire supercycle I got when i was 16. It started off as a flat bar bike but i converted it to drops and fit the clickshifters on the bar.

So I have a couple questions that I don't know if anyone would have the answers to here but here goes.
1. The easier of the 2 is how would I get the gear ratio for my axles in front and back. I plan on going from 35" to 46" tires and I hear a lot that I am most likely going to have to change the gear ratio. I have Dana 60 front and rear axles.
2. This one is a doozy.
TL;DR : 4 years after buying truck trying to register it in different state than bought. How much is it gonna cost and how am I gonna do it?
So I am an Armyfag and so, before basic I married a chick like an idiot and we moved from California to Arizona with my brother. During basic we had that holiday exodus shit and I got to go home on leave. I bought a truck (pic related). This was December 2012. My now ex wife was supposed to register the truck. When I got out of basic I learned that she had moved back to California and never had got my truck registered. She cheated on me (big surprise) and I told her I wanted to get a divorce. I was then stationed in Germany for 3 years. One summer leave I went to AZ and drove the truck on a temp registration to California. Another year passed and I deployed. Spent 8k of my deployment money on upgrades for my truck and saving to PCS to Fort Lewis, WA. Divorced the chick when I got home because she had been banging everyone, and actually had got pregnant when I was deployed, and realized that the truck problem was going to be much bigger than anticipated.
When I bought the truck I bought it from the parents of the guy selling it. I don't have a POA from him to them for them to sell it to me. I bought it with a cashier's check and the lien got put in to Navy Federal. BUT because the POA was never obtained I couldn't get a new title with navy federal being the lien holder. So I have the original title, with his credit agency being the lien holder.
I paid 1000 for some dudes my shady ass godfather vetted to install all the parts I bought for my truck using deployment money. I had 1500$ left and 3 days to drive from Bakersfield, California to JBLM, WA. No problem right? Wrong.
About 200 miles outside of Bakersfield, got death wobbles. Turns out they barely tightened the control arm 1 thread and if we hadn't have stopped, It probably would have snapped causing a rollover and probably death. We (my brother decided to leave shithole Bakersfield and go with me to Lewis) had it towed to a local tweaker mechanic and he welded the control arm because there was no way to repair as well as aligned the wheels (I had new tires and wheels put on by the fucking chodes who put on all my gear and had them aligned right after the lift kit and everything else was put on).
That cost 1000 bucks, fuel was expected to cost 500 on the high end and 200 bucks for food. And I had 7 days till I got paid again. So we get back on the road and everything seems like it's going well. We get to near Oregon and it start acting weird. Turns out the fuel filter was fucked up somehow. Replaced that and had no problems for another 300 miles then.. It starts losing power.
I unplug everything and shits good. About 25 miles outside of base death wobbles are back and it's so bad we almost run into a big rig. We pull of the side of the highway and a state trooper gives us escort to a parking lot about 2 miles down the road. I have a tow truck pick us up and drive us to base. Got to the auto skills center (basically a mechanic shop you can work on your own car for cheap, they have every tool you can think of, hydraulic lifts, etc) and brother found that they installed everything wrong (my brother was better at mechanical stuff than me until I started really working on it all the time). So I had it sit there because now my 1000$ extra money was 2500$ in the hole from all the tow trucks, parts, and repairs I had done along the way. About a month later I married a chick I thought I got pregnant on pcs leave after the divorce like "good job Dan man", turns out it wasn't my kid. But in the time it took for me to find out it wasn't mine, I had bought her a car, bought a bunch of baby shit and now I was drowning in bills because she was supposed to start working and shit. Divorced her. Blah blah blah. Finally saved enough money to pay off the truck, and get it to my house. Question is: how the FUCK do I register it. The guy is no where to be found. It's not reported stolen so as far as I know he is not aware that nothing went through. Also How much is it gonna cost?
Bump
Hi /n/ I came across this bike at a flea market for about $70. I bought it as an impulse buy. as near as I can tell it is a late 50's early 60's western flyer/murray. I am unable to find the serial/model number on it as some else re-painted it years ago. I am probably going to rebuild/restore/customize it, but only if its worthless. If its worth something to an actual collector I will probably sell it off and let them take care of it properly.
Now on to the questions, I am only 75% sure its a western flyer and I am looking for any info anyone might have on properly identifying this bike.

I can probably provide more pictures but this being a slower board I dont check it more than once a day at best.
also I realize it says fuji on the seat but obviously that is not original

Why do people ride mountain bikes at the park in the city?
Cause it can roll on grass better than a road bike
>>1028670
An entry level mountain bike is always cheaper than a road bike, that's why a lot of child have them even if they didn't mountain bike. A lot of people will lose their job if mountain bike are only used to mountain bike and road bike to race.

Because normies are intimidated by thin tires and drop bars
Quite a lot of changes since the last time I posted. Brake upgrade to XT M785, shorter stem, 1x10 11-42 conversion, some more sensible tyres (Schwalbe of course, the professional's choice) and some new wheels.
Brought the weight down from 18.2kg to 16.1kg (40.1 pounds to 35.5) and with most of that weight coming off the wheels it makes a massive difference to the handling.
It's still hideous but at least you got rid of the pink bits
Took this obligatory picture the other day.
Going to swap this frame out soon, the rear disc tab has a crack that is growing at an alarming rate. I have an Identiti Dr. Jekkyl frame, I'll probably use that with some new wheels.

The only pink it's ever had is a bit on the saddle.
My bikes never click as loud as my friends. Anybody else have this same problem?
>>1026658
double-TAAAPP!!!
What do you mean by "click"? Does that mean your friends have noisy derailleurs or noisy hubs?
Increase cable tension to the max. Your system will click nicely.

I loved trainfever, if transport fever is out I gotta try it out right away!
Beach cruisers, roadsters, and related bikes.
I bought a cheap Wal-Mart aluminum frame cruiser for $150 three years ago and it held up surprisingly well. Mine looks like this, minus lights and fenders. It is a nice bike for trail and off-road use.
Do you anons think cruisers should be single speed, 3 speed hub, or have a full cassette derailleur? Do you think a coaster brake is good enough? I like the traditional single speed coaster setup.
>>1010507
I like a simple nexus 3 coaster brake hub onna cruiser.
But I hate cruisers anyway.
>>1010519
Since you are apparently a Schwalbe enthusiast, is the Big Apple a good cruiser tire? This is a 29er so it should use the 55-622 tire.
>>1010507
>Do you anons think cruisers should be single speed, 3 speed hub, or have a full cassette derailleur? Do you think a coaster brake is good enough?
3-speed is a lot nicer than 1, but 7- or 8-speed makes the bike a WHOLE lot nicer.
The nexus-7 hub you can get with a coaster brake. I think the 8-speed only comes with a roller brake. Which still works good for casual use too. Just no mountain descents.

>Since you are apparently a Schwalbe enthusiast, is the Big Apple a good cruiser tire? This is a 29er so it should use the 55-622 tire.
(I am not poster #2 but anyway)
The problem you have with using the FAT Big Apple is that it is so fat that it will not fit under most fenders--if you wanted fenders at all.
Not only is it wide, but the outer diameter is really big too. It tends to rub most fenders at the front mounting bolt and rear edge.
About the only bikes it really fits "good" on is MTBs, that were made for knobbies about that big to begin with. And MTBs rarely ever have full fenders.
Whats up /n/authists!
What is Copenhagen doing right? Pic related.
they have a blend of moderate density, flat geography, and mild temperate weather that makes it easy for them to increase mode share of cycling with minimal investment
