H-hold me, guys.
I just learned that the TCR Advanced 2 (2017) IS NOT coming to my country in this awesome blue color.
cont.
Instead, all that we are getting is this thing that looks literally like every other fucking boring road bike on the market today.
Fuck the importers man, seriously.
>"Oh, anon-kun, were you excited about this new Contend SL 1 endurance bike in the same blue color?"
>>995326
>"Well too fucking bad! You can only have it in the same lame black/red/white scheme that makes it look like every other entry-level bike ever. Why? Fuck you, that's why!"
Soooo...
Which group set should I invest in if I have currently on my bike lets say.
>Claris
or
>Tiagra
I'm upgrading my Trek bike and thinking of which parts could benefit in the long run. (yeah, top priority wheels but after that I'm thinking of new group set)
Use the /bqg/ next time.
Go with Tiagra. As someone who has both, the Tiagra is 100% better. Shifts smoother, lighter, and it just feels better overall.
>>995294
Much appreciated. Thanks
>>995292
save up a bit more and get 105.
best bang for your buck.
the set will last you a long time.
>800 lumen headlight
>200 lumen taillight
>OH I'M SORRY I DIDN'T SEE YOU
How is this even possible?
so bright they needed to look away
>>995046
It's half as bright as standard automotive headlamps; a car has 2 800 lumen headlamps, I have 1. Next excuse? Never mind, there is no excuse other than being a completely incompetent driver.
had a woman do a left turn into a parking lot right in front of me when I run steady 460 lumens + flashing 280 lumen lights
went to confront her and shes an old ass lady in her 70's and said "I'm sorry I didn't know you were there" with her fucking old lady voice. Felt guilty talking to her but people that old and unaware should really stop driving.
Is the dimension printed on the bike rim tape the same that is needed for tires and tubes? Trying to fix up an old road bike ant the old tires were so dry they were unreadable. Someone in-between put 27 1/4 inch tires on it
pic related the rim tape
the only size which matters is the diameter of the rim.
the rim can take 1" to 2.5" since these are the common sizes.
Those 26" with the fractional width have a different bead diameter than your run of the mill 26" mountain bike wheel.
http://www.sheldonbrown.com/26.html
>>995009
Cool, that helps because a ton of shops around me have various 26 tires but not specifically 1 3/8
So do you think that this rim tape dimension is for the tire diameter as well? as far as I can tell its the original rim tape. I measured as best as I could with a tape ruler, but without taking spokes off and the cassette/ free wheel off (which I don't have the tools to do) the measurement won't come out that accurate
Sorry for cell phone pictures.
Is it owned by the city or something?
In New Orleans we have the New Orleans Public Belt, which is owned by the city, but receives no funding.

>Stupid millenials that don't know anything about the real history or operations of railroading in America.
>Supporting commie pinko shit where the state owns the rail.
I have never seen Amtrak NOT being given priority over everything.
>>994680
this
USA railway problem is not called Amtrak and the future is not "giving more money to Amtrak so it can build its own lines". USA railway problem is called screwed nationalization. You see, those many European countries that have so many amazing state-owned railways actually own them because at one point in their history they basically nationalized private owned railway companies. In USA nothing like that really happened because America ain't no bloody commies, right.
>>994685
>In USA nothing like that really happened
Well it did during WWI.
US railroads were actually nationalized, but then returned after the war, because we ain't fucking commies.
Are Salsa bikes any good? This seems like a great deal
I saw someone here saying that they don't like salsa because it sounds too Hispanic
I wish I was making this up
>>994627
You have to go back
I have a bad case of the blue Vaya, but the frameset costs as much as a whole bike with mid tier components, I'm not sure it's that much better than a Charge Plug or a Marin Four Corners
Best touring bottle cage?
Yes.
Whatcu got on my 40 homie?
What are some good ways to practice cornering?
By being crashed into
Dirt biking and confidence help get more comfortable turning without much traction

What's a decent road bike for 100-130 mile weeks within the $800-$1100 range?
Literally any road bike within that price range can carry you those distances over a WEEK
>>994040
just go to a bike shop and try some bikes. see what you like. it ain't rocket science.
>>994040
Giant Defy 3. Best bike in that price range, at least in CAD. Enjoy my dude.
https://www.specialized.com/ca/en/bikes/fitness/alibi/118326
How many times have you been ready to ride, only to be confronted with a flat tire? Well, our Alibi wants you to be pumped up to ride, not pumping up your tires. That's why it comes with tires that don't need any air at all. That's right, you can kiss your pump goodbye, and more importantly, you can say goodbye to ever having a flat tire again. We also designed an anti-rust chain for this bike that removes the need for regular dirty, grimy maintenance, plus a super comfortable Body Geometry saddle and grips that are 100% designed for women. The Alibi is always ready to ride, so consider it the perfect partner on your path to a fitter, better you.
Is this some kinf of marketing attempt?
>>993747
No. The shop I work at is gonna start selling these in the coming season. I feel ashamed to work at a place pushing garbage like this.
>Implying airless tires are a fresh new idea and solve a problem people have
>Implying women are not capable of inflating their tires and cleaning/lubricating their chain
They're just as bad as men
Fuck having to install those shitty plastic tires at my shop
I want a job in Aviation, but honestly have no clue what all there is that pays decently. I know Ramp Agents/baggage pay jack shit. But what are some
Aviation jobs that you could get certifications for and make $50,000+/yr?
non-pilot jobs please, because I don't want to go $80k in debt and be poor for the following 5 years because of starting pay.
I'm an airline pilot... you might want to look into dispatching, or possibly crew scheduling. I like dispatchers and hate crew scheduling but they are both in aviation.
>>993713
>dispatchers
Interesting. Is this something I need a degree for? Or can I just get the required certifications?
>>993688
Go to trade school/community college and apply for NDT certification level 1. Get an OSH certification as well while you're at it
Shit is still kinda expensive but for NDT level 1 training, it would only take about 8 months (tho it's still depends on which school you go to) and at most you only have to spend around 3k, minus the PPEs and other tools
Airline companies would employ NDT technicians to check fatigues, leakage, cracks and other things related to aircraft maintenance. Bonus you don't have to get dirty as much as the mechanics
Will the Ortlieb Front Roller Classic panniers fit on the Specialized AWOL front "pizza rack"?
Thanks Boss.
>>993445
The way the sides of the top part of the rack stick out past the sides of the rack will probably be problematic, the panniers won't sit as closely as they should. You could probably make it work, but it wouldn't be ideal. You would be better off with something like pic related where the top of the rack sits flush with the sides of the rack.
Next time please use >>>/n/bqg
>>993445
Just ignore the top rack and mount it like pic related.
No bikes bigger than 250cc in this thread, since /o/ -- a bunch of petrol swigging motorheads -- wont talk about anything smaller than 600cc.
She can have my babies and there is a bike
/o/ here, get a real bike.
>>993254
>trifag
She probably pisses on that bike.
...wait, that makes it hotter.
If you want one of these, send an email to njersey AT hush DOT com. Specify whether you definitely, probably, or maybe want one. They will be full zip race fit. They will cost $80 per jersey. Shipping will be $10 in the United States, $20 in Canada, $30 in most other places, more if your country has import/export taxes or whatever.
>>993088
>10 US Shipping
The fuck?
I pay 5 bucks for heavier shit from China
>>993145
That includes the fee for the team storefront (which is a webstore set up by the company, so that the jerseys are shipped directly to the buyers rather than all being sent to the organizer, i.e. me).
Sent an email. Definitely interested in this and would buy!!
