It's not that bad if you like Pixies. People just have to rate it poorly to fit the narrative of coming back after 20 years with a shit album. Same with mbv, although mbv is actually a really good album, not just mediocre like Indie Cindy.

Nice meme. Doesn't really hold water since Kevin essentially wrote everything on Loveless as well. Even the drums were mostly sampled (albeit from Colin). Plus most of the tracks on mbv were recorded around the same time as Loveless, so it figures that the structure of the band would be roughly the same.
