I think most people agree that 4AD's heyday was in the 80s/early 90s.

I've been checking them out while doing the rounds on /mu/. I've picked up Ariel Pink, Scott Walker and Purity Ring in terms of their current artists. Pink and Walker are pretty unique so they do have their moments.

Warpaint are a pretty good band. Especially live. The Fool and Exquisite Corpse are great although I have to admit the s/t was a bit of a letdown.

Yup. Regardless of how many people try to peg The National as dad rock or snoozecore, I think they're fantastic. They've got one hell of a streak going for their discography, too. In addition to Daughter, they're my favorite 4AD acts. Couldn't really care less about the rest of their catalog.

Kudos to 4AD, though, for repressing Red House Painters this year.
