I might prefer HCTI and STGSTV but it's very close

Person Pitch is it for me

lol no, but it's very good and unfairly maligned.

It's obviously Feels

i feel like that sometimes too, but i always find myself relistening to danse
>>
>>53918689
feels is like a watered down version of what this guys were doing during 2000-2004
>>
>>53918657
It's the best Kanye album actually, you filthy fucking pleb.

It's Hollinndagain
>>
>>53918689
It has some of their best songs, like Banshee Beat, Bees, and Loch Raven, but I have to agree with >>53918746

Two Sails on a Sound is basically a blueprint for the sounds on Feels, and while the songwriting may be improved on Feels, it's not as interesting sonically or texturally

you must not make music if you think Hollinndagain is the best. literally any average noise band makes music on par with that

do you even anco
>>
definitely not, OP you should listen to some more music.

Person Pitch would be a more reasonable suggestion. that album is amazing. This album is decent psychedelic pop/rock.

I hate to say it, but it's probably Kid A.

the 2000s were a pretty mediocre decade filled with nothing but indie, hiphop, and a few other great releases from other genres
>>
>>53918803
>it's not as interesting sonically or texturally
You mean because it doesn't have le epic noise sections? Yeah nah.
Sometimes I listen to HCTI and like it so much I'm sure it's better than Feels, but then I relisten to Feels and realise how dumb I was for thinking that.

Oh, and DYSTW is clearly the best song on the album.

>>
>>53918926
I just mentioned Two Sails on a Sound, what are you talking about "noise sections"? Along with Too Soon and Infant Dressing Table it's actually very gentle, which is what I meant when I said it's the blueprint for the sound of Feels. It's a smooth collage of sounds for the most part, and it actually sounds incredibly majestic, and here you are talking about "le epic noise". Maybe you should try paying attention to the things you listen to

>>53918982
I prefer CS for acoustic AnCo, but I always have trouble arguing that point. It's probably because I prefer when they're more free structurally, but melodically they started to get really good on ST, ie Winters Love. Also, there's not a weak moment on CS, and on ST their are several

>Let's take a riiiiiide in my coooooorettteeee
Beautiful

>>53919075
But it's the best post-HCTI album along with Feels
>>
>>53918993
what else would be THE BEST album of the 2000s then you memeloving fuck?

It's definitely not hollindagain.

the 2000s sucked

Not him, but

La Novia
>>
>>53919198
hollindagain is superior to kid a in every way possible. consider sudoku
>>
>>53919155
So you're saying that the song Two Sails on a Sound is better than the entirety of Feels?
Because the album as a whole definitely does have very noisy parts.
>>
>>53919254
those noisy parts are goat, what is your problem with them?
>>
>>53919254
I think it's better than ever song on Feels, except for maybe Banshee Beat

>definitely does have very noisy parts
And? They juxtapose nicely with the gentle parts
>>
>>
>>53919227
ok yeah I'd probably agree with that. Ys is amazing

>>53919246
If you think this you're just an AnCo fanboy.

that album is alright.

also do you guys really think Kid A isn't good at all?

I thought it was generally agreed that it was a great album
>>
>>53919155
Campfire Songs is gorgeous, never heard anything else quite like it. Do you know of any other albums with that acoustic guitar ambient vibe to check out?
>>
>>53919284
When did I say I had a problem with them? HCTI is one of my favourite AnCo albums, it just isn't as good as Feels.
>>
>>53919516
It's pretty great. I'd give it an 8/10.
>>
>>53919544
Check out Panda's Young Prayer if you haven't

Also, Natural Snow Buldings - Dance of the Moon and Sun
>>
>>53919651
Young Prayer is super underrated. I hope Noah goes back to that stripped back singing style.

I'll check out Natural Snow Buildings - thanks for the rec.
>>
Is it too bad that I think MPP is the best AnCo when it comes to a full album experience
>>
>>53918526
danse manatee gives me more feels that any other anco release. It isn't even the lyrics, can't really understand them anyway. It's just the feel of the whole album.. I can't describe it.
>>
>>53920700
I think it's Feels but my favorite is Sung Tongs
>>
>>53920777
yeah i know, it's one of my favorite albums because of that

>plebs will never feel like this
When will they learn?
And anon, listen to this on acid, you will undestand
>>
OK so to preface this, I'm not a pleb.

I've listened to spirit they're gone, spirit they've vanished many times, and while some parts are good. I always thought it was pretentious pleb-pop that was only remembered because of animal collective's later music.

It's not too abrasive for me, I just hated it.

anyways I'm really stoned and am going to listen to it again.

What do you like about STGSTV?
>>
>>53920980
yeh acid was a big reason for it growing on me. It represents a trip really well. I don't do acid anymore, but whenever I listen to danse, it brings me back.

>>53920958
sounds like someone is insecure because they can't get into danse manatee
>>
>>53921057
You actually are a pleb if you un-irionically dismiss any music as "pretentious pleb-pop". You are practicing superficial listening

STGSTV features their best songwriting until MPP, as shown in the progressive-pop ballads of Chocolate Girl and Alvin Row. It seamlessly combines their cacophonous, dissonant, free-form style with their gentle, sweet lullabies, which are mostly found in the vocals. I think this is shown in the first song, a melancholy juxtaposition of pop vocals and harsh electronics
>>
>>53921246
I agree. It is all (deliberately) chaotic and unfocused, but nonetheless gentle. It is hard to pinpoint the rhythms and the arrangements, although the melodies are quite hummable and even serene.
>>
>>53921057
For me it sums up the feelings of childhood and growing up in a harsh, bittersweet, nostalgic, and sometimes psychedelic way that I can't really describe.I think in a lot of ways you just have to "feel it."

Also, Perfect Percussion.
>>
>>53921057
ok nvm listened to it it's still pretentious pop garbage

glad to know I have good taste
>>
>>53921414
>>53921246
>>53921388
and yeah reading all these responses you guys are total plebs

listen to good music for once or just go back to reddit

>>53921606
I really, really, really like this bait
>>
>>53921414
Yeh. I can't really think of many psych albums that capture the childhoodlike and nostalgic feel that acid has. Early anco does it really well.
>>
>>53919148
Do you realize the irony in that statement?
>>
>>53921711
Syd Barett does it pretty well
